Guest BionicRedneck Report post Posted April 14, 2003 Cena wont be the mainstream success that people are claiming he will be. Not even close. He will end up in a nice midcard position by next year. There is no elevation in WWE. Plus, Cena doesn't have the in-ring talent.
Guest humongous2002 Report post Posted April 14, 2003 If you think Brock is doing good then that's your opinion, but according to buyrates and ratings he hasn't done anything to improve them. When Austin was the champ RAW ratings went through the roof, when Rock was the champ in 2000 ratings went to another level.I'm not saying is Brock's fault for not improving ratings, all i'm saying he still needed more time to be ready to carry the ball, the guy is a rookie just like Cena and mark my words the fans will eventually get tired of him more sooner than later. I meant good in-ring. God, we were talking about in-ring skills not buy rates. Where we talking about buy rates this whole time with in-ring skills meaning buy rates? Did I miss something here? If we are talking about buy rates, then I doubt Cena will be able to get them now. If given time to grow then yes later on, perhaps he can. Since when does Brock have good in-ring skills, he hasn't done anything memorable in the ring except for that messed up SSP. Brock is still too green to be a face champ he was better off being the heel with a manager that talks for him.
Guest Crux Report post Posted April 15, 2003 Cena is the same guy he was about 1 year ago. Unremarkable. Im not saying he's hideously awful, because there are a hell of alot of wrestlers that are worse. But his "freestyles" and his "street thug" clothes are just too much for me to take. As far as his in ring abilities, he's decent at best. Maybe everyone can see something else I cant. And who knows, I might change my mind down the line. But as of now, I dont like John Cena nor do I enjoy watching him on Smackdown.

Yet, I'm not saying I'd be disapointed if he didn't wrestle either. In both cases of Cena and Lesnar. Although, none of the new crop should be in the WWE yet as they are still green, like you said. And still need to learn how to do psychology in the ring. They do need to learn how to work the crowd. But Cena has showed that he is improving. His match against Eddie was decent (albeit, I'll admit Eddie was so carrying Cena) and his promos have been getting better. Yet, I will agree that his match with Taker wasn't all that great.
