Record for Consecutive Pay Per Views

I recall when Rock didn't do a Pay Per View to do Mummy Returns Shootings and the big deal that was made of it...because He had done over 34 straight PPV's and was EITHER a record or near one...I recall Edge being said to be the next longest running guy...Of course that is over now...

So Who has the record for Most consectuive PPVs? I am betting Jericho...I can't recall him being injured or missing a show since he debuted

I am counting the promo he shot at Summerslam 99 with Road Dog and his run ins...

Am I right on my guess?

Has Angle Not wrestled a PPV since he debuted?

Jericho also didn't wrestle on the PPV after WM last year. Remember, he was Undisputed Champion then nothing?

He still did a Run in which meant he appeared on the show...I count that...I said "Most Consecutive PPV's.." not Matches on PPV...

Jericho didn't have a match at Backlash last year, but he did do a run in on the main event.

Chris Jericho is the guy-

He's wrestled at PPV since Judgement Day 2002 and assuming Angle misses Backlash he will be the PPV iron man.

Edge's streak was something like KOTR99-Backlash 2001.

Angle's streak was SurS99-WMXIX

Unless he missed July 2002 PPV(can't think of who he fought).... Angle didn't miss a PPV since he debuted.

Angle was in the main event v. Taker and Rock.

His streak was 41 PPVs.

::sobs::

I hope they tank while Kurt's out so they have to run Angle/Lesnar again.

Yeah and Jericho appered in every PPV since he debuted which means the count must be at 60 PPVs...

SLam 1999-Current...

That's a long streak...I am still struggling to think of a show that he didn't appear at in some form...

That was only two shows after he debuted...So The count is Series 1999 to WMXIX...

U sure he didn't have a promo or run in or anything?

Nope doesn't appear he did. He cut the promo on Road Dogg at SummerSlam, had a match against X-Pac at Unforgiven and then didn't appear at No Mercy.

Oh and to add Angle made his PPV debut at Survivor Series that year so that means it would be a tie between him and Jericho until Backlash this year.

He was supposed to fight Hughes, correct?

O.K so he and Angle each had an Equal Streak from Series 1999 until Last Month's Mania...So That means Barring injury...Jericho will easily leapfrog Angle....

I think having a match is more prestigious then just running in.

Jericho's streak is at 10 assuming he wrestles at Backlash.

Benoit is in second place

And if Benoit doesn't beat Cena then he won't have a match at Backlash.

Maybe but the Question was "Who Had the most Apperences..."....

Come to think of it...Wouldn't Lillian Garcia be the right answer?

Guest bob_barron

No- she doesn't do PPVs.

Benoit and Rhyno are prob gonna face ATrain and Big Show I think.

I think having a match is much more prestigious then just making an appearance

That's not definiate...They clearly started a build up for Rhyno-Benoit or maybe even a Another #1 title contender match with Los Gureereos

Well if Meltzer's projected card is correct they only have room for one more match and I think it will be UT/Jones against the F.B.I. since they ended up having that feud being the focus of the main event this past week. But we shall see.

Assuming he wrestles at Backlash. There ma not be room for him. Hogan vs. Piper, 20 something years in the making or whatever, remember?

Jericho is teaming with HHH and Flair v. nWo 2003

Taker is going to have surgery so I think he's missing Backlash

Maybe it will be that much anticipated Jones/Chuck match that they so cruelly stole from us two weeks ago.

Hmmm well Undertaker may still need to give some punishment for Chuck not giving a rim job to Droz a couple of years ago so I guess why not have his stroyline protege' squash Chuck.

Angle's run is superior to Jericho's for a few reasons:

1. Jericho had debuted 3 months prior to Survivor Series 99 yet didn't wrestle at SummerSlam (but he appeared) or No Mercy. which leads to..

2. Angle, until Backlash airs, has wrestled at every single PPV since debuting on TV...

3. Wrestling on PPV is far more important then just being there. Jericho only appeared at SummerSlam after his debut and didn't wrestle at No Mercy 99 or Backlash 2002. Angle has actually WRESTLED on every PPV since appearing on TV (having your debut on PPV helps).
