Guest Mole Report post Posted April 15, 2003 I don't know if anyone reported this, but I just saw this at 411 so I thought it is some worthy news. David Boreanaz has confirmed that he did test for the starring roles in both Superman and Batman 5. Boreanaz met with Chris Nolan about the Batman film. Superman is currently in question, as it has been delayed while they look for a new director, as well as a star. Credit: DarkHorizons.com He didn't get the part yet, but he would be great for either role. He is an amazing actor, and this is something that could launch his career after Angel is done with. Guest Lethargic Report post Posted April 15, 2003 If he ends up playing Batman, I'm becoming a Superman fan.
Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2003 I could buy him as Batman. I dunno about Supes, though...
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted April 15, 2003 Batman has the whole darkness thing...but DB looks too young to play Bruce Wayne. Although I would be alright with him getting either part. Batman should be dead...but I'll give Chris Nolen a fair chance.
Guest SP-1 Report post Posted April 15, 2003 I could deal with him as Bats. Not really Supes, though.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted April 15, 2003 He's not that great of a movie actor(he's not even that great on TV when he's a good guy) so I hope not. But if he has to do one I'd hope it's Batman since he's a better fit for dark roles. I couldn't see him as the out going superhero that Superman is made out to be. He'd be better as a villain for one of them.
Guest MissMattitude Report post Posted April 15, 2003 Well, I wont be going to see either of them if he is in them. I can't stand the guy
cawthon777 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2003 Tim Burton should direct Batman 5. Then I would def go see it. I think Boreanaz has potential. It's easier to see him as Batman but I wouldn't write him off for Superman either (never thought Tobey Maguire could pull of Spider-Man and look what he did with that). LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2003 Boreanaz is great when it comes to cocky badguy (Angelus) but as far as good guy he can become a little boring. I could see him playing Bruce Wayne if he looked a little older since he plays the suave ladies man pretty well.
Guest Ravenbomb Report post Posted April 15, 2003 after Valentine, I hope DB never acts again
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2003 I wouldn't say that. I think he does a fine job on Angel and I hope it lasts awhile.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted April 16, 2003 I wouldn't say that. I think he does a fine job on Angel and I hope it lasts awhile. I gotta agree. Valentine sucked ass all the way, NO ONE could pull that movie out of the crapper.
Guest Mole Report post Posted April 16, 2003 He was the best one in the movie though. He actually had something called talent.
Guest Crux Report post Posted April 16, 2003 Batman yes, but I just cant picture DB in that loud Superman outfit *shudder* I dont want to.
Guest Ravenbomb Report post Posted April 16, 2003 well, Jon Peters (?) is the producer, and if he's who I'm thinking of (the guy talked about in An Evening in Kevin Smith), we may not have to worry about DB in the Superman suit.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2003 It just said he read for the parts so that really means nothing. He probably won't be picked. But does him reading for movie parts mean that Angel isn't being renewed?
cawthon777 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2003 Nothing's written in stone. There are plans IF the show continues - I've heard that there will be surprise deaths and people from Buffy will come over to the Angel cast - but it has to be picked up first.
