What difference does it make if it's a "hit" or not?

That's for the other guy that acted like I was stupid for saying it wouldn't do that good at the box office and claimed that it was a "modest hit". I may be stupid but I think a movie should at least make ONE DOLLAR before it's proclaim any kind of hit.

Yeah, but I still don't see what difference it makes if it's a hit or not. Why does it matter to anyone other than the people who spent the money on it in the first place?

Because if shit like this fails to make either any money, or any substantial amout of money, then the chances for a film of this type to be put out once again, goes down.

Had it made a hug profit, then they might rush to bring another one out, if it fails to make a lot of money, then we might not see something of this sort again from them, at least not in theaters.

Because if you're a fan of something or if you don't like something you wanna see it succeed or fail. If I like something I wanna see it be a big hit. If I don't like something I wanna see it fail. It's no different from anything else. You watch your favorite sports teams and you wanna see them win. You watch your favorite TV shows and you hope they get ratings so they stay on the air. You buy your favorite band's CD and hope they sell so the label doesn't drop them. What movies make money or don't make money today have a direct connection to what movies will get made later. It's called Show BUSINESS for a reason. It's a business. I wanna see the good movies come out and do well so we'll get more like them.

With Corpses though, I really don't care what it does. I just thought seeing it being called a hit was the stupidest comment I've ever seen when the facts say completely the opposite.

I'd like to see it bomb cause I'd like to believe that we as the human race are not retarded enough to give a movie such as this that much money

Sorry, the human race already proved they are retarded when they spent $64 million to see Jackass.

I agree, not as funny as everyone said, but at least with that you could laugh. but House you couldn't even get scared.

Like I said before, I haven't been scared by a horror film since I was 13. I don't watch them to be scared.

Yep, it's sad when people spend their money to be entertained and get entertained. Let's have more movies like Corpses where we spend money to be entertained but just get crap instead.

Anyone see the DVD yet? I wasn't planning on buying it since they will come out with another version by April, so I rented it. So far I have just watched a few of the special features, but they are pretty good. I have laughed my ass off a few times already, so if must be alright.

Are they or are you just assuming?

Honestly, I can't remember where I heard it, but I did.

Plus there is footage that wasn't in the movie. Zombie had to slice it down quite a bit from what I remember. And there are no deleted scenes in this DVD. So take it for what it's worth.

I saw a interview with Rob Zombie the other day where he said "the DVD will not have a director's cut because I never made one". I don't know what the hell that means as far as a newer DVD down the line but that's what he said. Right now he's working on Corpses 2 so if it's true that he hasn't made a DC of the first one, he's probably too busy making the sequel to re-edit the first one anytime soon.

Well that sucks. I would really like to see the stuff they took out.
