Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted May 4, 2003 Anybody heard anything about Jermaine O'Neal's plans? I live an hour from Indy (no I dont like the shitty pacers), and between his free agency, the playoff collapse, and shittiest coach ever Isiah, it seems like this team's about to be broken up. ps - Sixers-Pistons will be an awesome series. But with me living in Texas I'm sorta inclined to root for Dallas no matter how much the Kings are going to stomp them in the next round.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted May 4, 2003 This is Webber in June C.Webb: Hello, My Name is Chris Webb. I play Power Forward for the Sacramento Kings. Today is Game one of the Western Conf. Finals. I believe in my team's ability and believe we can advance to the next level. *AHHH!* C. Webber: What was that? Ah, It's Mike Bibby. He plays Point Guard for the kings. Bibby: Run! Damn it! Run! Webber: What is it Mike? A Spider again? *Shaq is walking in the distance* C. WEBBER: HOLY SHIT! It's Shaq! *Shaq walks up...* C. Webber: Hi, Mr. O' Neal. Shaq: Hey, Webb...Is that your ball? Can I see it? Thank you. Webber: *Quivers*

Guest bravesfan Report post Posted May 4, 2003 Having watched the Blazers/Mavs game from the beginning to end, it is apparent to me --that Bonzi Wells is an overrated piece of SHIT. --that no team should take a chance next year on Scottie Pippen (this is coming from a "Pippen mark" growing up.) --that A. Sabonis is the only player on that team worth his salary. --that Stoudamire looked like the only one who at least TRIED after Aarvidis fouled out. --that Maurice Cheeks should unanimously voted the Coach of the Year for 2003. I know that Pippen, D. Davis and Daniels are free agents this summer. Out of those three, they should only keep Davis, then try to land a big-time player with the cap room Daniels and Pippen free up. I would also attempt to send out feelers for Wells, Patterson and Wallace, and see what you can get in return. Team chemistry has a much bigger impact than any player statistic, as evidenced by the Trailblazers.

Guest Crazy Dan Report post Posted May 5, 2003 Detroit vs. Philadelphia- Ah this will be a dog fight. Detroit has the Defense, Phili has the star. This should be a fun series to witness. But I think that AI is on a roll. And that is your difference. Phili wins in 6. New Jersey vs. Boston- Boston is going to struggle in this one. New Jersey has a more complete team. And I think that New Jersey is on a collision with Phili. But, Paul Peirce and Walker form a tandem that can beat you on any given night. So Boston won't get killed, but they won't get by the Nets. Nets wins in 6. San Antonio vs. Los Angeles- Man this is going to be a dog fight. Spurs swept the series, but two of those wins came against the Shaq-less Lakers. The Lakers struggled against the Timberwolves during Games 2-4. The Lakers are going to miss Fox on the defensive end. And just as the Lakers hold the advantage in Shaq and Kobe, the Spurs hold the advantage in the two time reigning MVP, Duncan, and with Tony Parker, more than likely, driving Derrick Fisher nuts. This will go back and forth. But I think the Lakers have shown that they are indeed vulnerable. I don't think the Lakers are scarring any one this year. I think the Spurs have been one of the best teams in the second half of this season. With that, my heart is saying Spurs win in seven, in a hard fought dog fight. Sacramento vs. Dallas- Dallas has a great offense. Thier defense is not so great however. Man they hard time stopping Portland in the paint. Their up tempo style of play falls right into Sacramento's hands, who thrive in the up-tempo. Dallas almost choked against against Portland. Funny I don't see the Mavs taking a three-nothing series lead agaist the Kings. Also, the Kings have owned Dallas for most of the season. And even then, Dallas needed a last second three by Nash and OT to beat the Kings for their only victory. Sacramento looks really good, and will run past Dallas in five games. There are some great series this round. Most of the first round has gone to 6 or 7 games. Great basketball is going on right now. Can't wait for Round 2. Guest Ripper Report post Posted May 5, 2003 Chris Webber and Kevin Garnett...Probably the only two men in NBA history that can put up 25 and 15 in the playoffs and STILL have people say they don't step up in the postseason. Did anyone actually look at Webbers numbers in that Laker series last year? Did anyone even watch the fact that Vlade, Doug Christie, and Peja all were non existant in the West Finals last year and the Kings still almost(should have) beat the lakers behind Webber and Bibby. But Webber gets trashed. Weird. Gotta feel sorry for T-mac. All the Orlando GMs have to do is get some consistant shooters and they will be off. But When you can double and triple team T-mac with no worries about the other players you just aren't going to win. If the Spurs win game one, they will win the series in 5...mark my words. You let those young guys get some confidence and it will be all over. Good series Dallas...you now have something to look back on in this season. I think they will take it the distance with the Kings...but they aint winning. BTW, Nick Van Excel is a GAWD come playoff time. Sixers Pistons. Dude....I just don't know. Billups and Iverson are going to have SO many shots between them. This series can go which ever way the ball bounces. Although I think Detroit learned something about one star teams in the orlando series. Snow, Vanhorn, Mckie all had better hit the open shots or they are going home. Nets Pacers: Pierce is playing like a MAN...so is Martin. Mutumbo will get more PT this series to take away some of the drives to the basket...all 5 of them that the Celtics will attempt...Cause we know they will just be jacking up 3s. Nets in 5 though. I didn't trash Webber for the overall series as much as I trashed him for being unwilling and/or unable to step it up and take over in Game 7 when his team needed him the most. That's what great players do...they make big plays in big moments. They thrive in the spotlight, they don't shrink from it. That's why Bibby was so roundly praised (because that's exactly what he did), and why Webber was so roundly trashed. My predictions: Spurs over Lakers in 7 Kings over Mavs in 4 76ers over Pistons in 6 Nets over Celtics in

My predictions: Spurs over Lakers in 7 Kings over Mavs in 4 76ers over Pistons in 6 Nets over Celtics in 6 My only problem with that thinking is that Bibby was HOT...had hit about 8 shots in a row. A real leader recognizes that. you don freeze out the guy that was having his way with the Lakers so you can say "Look at me, I'm a super star. Don't get it confused, if Kobe hit 8-9 shots in a row in the 4th, Shaq knows to get ready to rebound when he comes down the floor, not bitch for the ball. If Shaq has 20 pts in the fourth, guess what Kobe is going to do with the ball. Did anyone count how many rebounds and assist he had in that game seven. Or him switching to play D on Shaq when it came to crunch time. I just think that Chris Webber is one of the more over critisized players in the league and has done nothing to deserve it. Bibby got so open on all of those shots due to screens Webber was setting. Peja and Doug Christie were both more open than any human can possibly be when Web kicked the ball out to them and the SHOULD have won the game but didn't. You can throw alot of blame around but how the only ther guy that played worth a shit in that serious gets the bulk of it is beyond me.
