Guest Bricks Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Lakers over Spurs in 4. I figure the Lakers' wins over the T-Wolves were way convincing, while the Spurs had a tough time with the Suns who aren't as good as the T-Wolves. Plus past history in the playoffs, and I think it'll just be a repeat. Kings over Mavs in 4. All scoring! All the time! But the Mavs can't play D at all so Kings win 4 straight. Philly over Pistons in 6. I felt whoever won between Philly and New Orleans was going to make the Finals, and since Philly won that series, I'm taking Philly to take this series. Celtics over Nets in 7. I just don't believe this Nets team is as good as last year's and Celtics victory over the Pacers was more impressive than the Nets' over the Bucks.
Guest razazteca Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 The wont be any sweeps in the NBA Playoffs............it would not be profitable for the networks. TNT, ESPN, ABC need the series to go at least 5 so they could get their advertising moneys. With all the Laker hate I expect the series to go at least 6 if not 7 games so they can milk this cash cow. The networks have the refs in their back pocket expect to see alot of questionable calls in favor of the Lakers again. Spurs vs Kings in West Finals Nets vs Pistons in East Finals Spurs vs Nets NBA Finals Spurs win in 5 games with one overtime game.
Guest The Grand Pubah of 1620 Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 There will be a sweep in the finals. The Lakers will crush whoever makes it out of the east.
Guest Choken One Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 Nah...Lakers are having their "Bad" year...This will be the year that Karma dicates they need to "EARN" their championship... So Lakers in 6 over Philly, Jersey or whoever...
Guest razazteca Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 The Lakers are going to have to EARN the win in game 1 considering the Spurs are leading every quarter of the game so far. The Spurs have the Karma in this game....................Kevin Willas made a half court 3 pointer!.
Guest Kingpk Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 Although no one cares, pretty good game between the Celtics and Nets tonight but Kidd will be the death of Boston. AGAIN!
Guest razazteca Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 True Kidd, Jefferson, Van Horn will be hard to stop.
Guest Vern Gagne Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 There will be a sweep in the finals. The Lakers will crush whoever makes it out of the east. Any of the 4 teams left in the West will have little trouble in the NBA finals. Memo to Flip Saunders. Those guys in the black jersey's guarding Kobe Bryant, are playing defense. Might want to look into it.
Guest razazteca Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 Note to Don Nelson: Get a Center with Hoss-rific abilities instead of 7 foot skinny outside shooter. And don't choke in the 4th quarter when you have a big lead, learn to play defense instead of shooting 3 pointers all day.
Guest Mr. Slim Citrus Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 I didn't trash Webber for the overall series as much as I trashed him for being unwilling and/or unable to step it up and take over in Game 7 when his team needed him the most. That's what great players do...they make big plays in big moments. They thrive in the spotlight, they don't shrink from it. That's why Bibby was so roundly praised (because that's exactly what he did), and why Webber was so roundly trashed. Webber volunteered to defend Shat after Divac fouled out, knowing that he was out of his league, and scored the first two baskets in overtime. He took shots and tried to create for his teammates, he just wasn't successful. I'm not sure what else he has to do to "step up." Spurs in 6 Kings in 4 Nets in 6 Pistons in 7
Guest razazteca Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 Horry is a dumnass for fouling David Robinson like that with only a 3 point lead. Lakers had a chance to win this game but now it is all but a lost cause.
Guest Human Fly Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 Did anybody else crack up at the slo-mo replay of Robert Horry slapping the Admiral in the balls? With Devean George maybe out you really have to question the ability of the Lakers to win this series. No Rick Fox, or No Devean George wouldn't be too big of a deal, but now you are really cutting into their rotation. Shaq and Kobe may be the two best players in the league, but you have to have somebody else who can do something.
Guest razazteca Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 I was afraid the Spurs would blow the lead especially with Kobe making the 3s in the final minutes but of course Karma came to save the day with Horry making the low blow foul. Spurs WIN
Guest Flyboy Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 Kobe didn't step up and win when Shaq fouled out?!
Guest razazteca Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 Kobe did step up and almost won the game but Horry is an idiot and lost the game. SPURS WIN take that all of you Lakers bandwagon fan boys
Guest Flyboy Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 Kobe did step up and almost won the game but Horry is an idiot and lost the game. Almost doesn't count around playoff time.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 Yeah, he could have run over and told Horry not to foul Robinson.
Guest razazteca Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 A slice of pie for you Laker fanboys If you want to foul somebody to stop the clock you do not spank their monkey in the process.
Guest The Grand Pubah of 1620 Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 Kobe did step up and almost won the game but Horry is an idiot and lost the game. SPURS WIN take that all of you Lakers bandwagon fan boys At least we agree on the first point. But if that last comment was directed at me, then you should know something. I've been a Laker's fan for a long time. So I'm sure you were talking to someone else. I do know that I said 5 games. This is just one, so we still have a long way to go.
Guest Polish_Rifle Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 Robert Horry is a fag. Did you see how he was trying to grab David Robinson's dick?
Guest Lethargic Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 So far the nameless Laker fan has proclaimed that the Spurs team didn't have enough playoff experience to beat the Lakers and that the Fox injury would mean nothing. Both points were proved retarded in one game.
Guest alkeiper Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 True Kidd, Jefferson, Van Horn will be hard to stop. Van Horn was traded to the Sixers in the offseason.
Guest CanadianChris Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 Kobe did step up and almost won the game but Horry is an idiot and lost the game. SPURS WIN take that all of you Lakers bandwagon fan boys Take that? 1) I predicted the Spurs would win the series, 2) I've been a Lakers fan since 1985.
Guest Y2DAYDAY Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 The Lakers will win the series in 6, maybe 7 but probably 6. Game 1 doesn't mean shit. It doesn't really matter until Game 4. That is when the series start to pick up(and by then, the Lakers have their opponents figured out)
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 Although no one cares, pretty good game between the Celtics and Nets tonight but Kidd will be the death of Boston. AGAIN! I'd say Antonie Walker would be the death of the Celtics... Seriously, the guy's 6'9, 250 and he takes 7 three's a game? What the fuck? Pierce should smack him in the head and tell him it's not fucking college anymore and to get down in the paint for once. Hell, I'd be willing to bet that Dirk works the paint more than Walker does, which is pretty sad.
Guest Polish_Rifle Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 The C's will win the series because nobody can stop Pierce when he's on. As for the Lakers, well you know how I feel about them, so I just hope the Spurs won't choke so they can wipe that smirk off of Kobe's face.
Guest razazteca Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 True Kidd, Jefferson, Van Horn will be hard to stop. Van Horn was traded to the Sixers in the offseason. replace Van Horn with Kenyon Martain a simple mistake
Guest razazteca Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 Lakers over Spurs in 4. I figure the Lakers' wins over the T-Wolves were way convincing, while the Spurs had a tough time with the Suns who aren't as good as the T-Wolves. Plus past history in the playoffs, and I think it'll just be a repeat. where are you Laker fanboy?
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 Well, it's tuesday, he's probably at school. Anyway APO is soooo right about Antoine Walker, he's a fucking bum. I don't know how long Pierce's contract is, but whenever it runs out he and McCarty need to get the fuck out of Boston. I'm a Bulls fan, so I'll put it this way. Antoine Walker = Jalen Rose.
Guest Vern Gagne Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 Lakers are finally seeing that a team who plays defense is alot more difficult to beat, than a team that leaves Kobe Bryant wide open for easy shots.
