Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted April 18, 2003 So, Taker's going to out of action for a while due to elbow surgery. Knowing how this usually goes, he'll probably be back in, oh, two months. So, let me get this straight...last week he has his last match before surgery, in a tournament match to a guy WWE is pushing to the moon, but maybe doesn't uite look like a solid credible contender yet. So he has to go over. He's a heel, so it's fine and dandy, but instead of simple cheating... We get a ref bump, a bunch of run ins, weapon shots, and the shitty "crawl onto the guy for the pin" ending. Right? Why? A semi-clean win would've done wonders and wouldn't have hurt Taker one bit, especially since he'll be pushed again huge when he comes back. They could have even used it as a possible fued starter when Taker comes back. Yeah, we bitched about it before, but now with this information, it seems all the more fucked up. And I don't really care much for Cena.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted April 18, 2003 Um... I'm not sure but I think it has something to do with being a locker room leader.
Guest JHawk Report post Posted April 18, 2003 See, Andrew, putting Cena over with just cheating would have made sense. Remember which company you're talking about here.
Guest the 1inch punch Report post Posted April 18, 2003 So, who exactly are the young wrestlers he wants to work with before he retires?

Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted April 18, 2003 So, who exactly are the young wrestlers he wants to work with before he retires? I guess Taker wasn't "feeling it." I think after putting over Brock at No Mercy last year, he's already fulfilled his yearly semi-clean job to a young star.

Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted April 18, 2003 Well to be the optimist to him, What Taker did was get a beat down by FBI to Further Push the Taker Jones feud vs the FBI so that did accomplish what was set out to do. Making the FBI strong enough to Put out Taker. Cena was basically getting a slick ride up to go against Lesnar Gurrero and Benoit matches were actually pretty good with Cena. So its fine if he gets semi Squashed by Taker and gets the Badd Blood win on him like HBK did when Kane debut.

And if they wanted to make them serious, why did they make the FBI Rikishi's bitch when they started out?
Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2003 The ECW JT Smith FBI was a comedy stable. This is clearly supposed to be serious. They were just booked horribly. Well, this is better than I thought it would be. I thought Taker was going to go over all three of them at Backlash...

Don't worry, he'll do that whenever he comes back from injury.
