The Dames Posted April 19, 2003 Report Posted April 19, 2003 Today is an interesting day here on TSM as three new columnists have made their debut. Jason "Lethargic" Castleman with his review of The Night of the Living Dead (1990 remake). Joseph Mann with his Wrestling Analysis on The 1992 Royal Rumble Match won by Ric Flair Matthew Ditaliano with his Searching for Answers column. What do you think of their first shot? Dames
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted April 19, 2003 Report Posted April 19, 2003 I'm going to cut off their hands to save you further embarassment. I kid, I kid, I haven't read them yet.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted April 19, 2003 Report Posted April 19, 2003 Regarding the 92 Rumble, The booking is what makes that match so great moreso than the work involved. Also, I think a better example of the Piper/Flair matchup would be Bret/Austin in 97.
Guest The Superstar Posted April 19, 2003 Report Posted April 19, 2003 (edited) Great column by Ditaliano. Entertaining and insightful~! Edited April 20, 2003 by The Superstar
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted April 19, 2003 Report Posted April 19, 2003 The more columnist there are the less likely people are to realize I miss my deadline every week... HOORAY!!!!! And...how f'n much longer are we going to have the Def Jam review stuck to the top of the page?
Guest goodhelmet Posted April 19, 2003 Report Posted April 19, 2003 the def jam review will be there for awhilesince it is obvious spree went through a helluva lot of effort in doing the review, plus it is one of the most intriguing videogames released right now.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted April 19, 2003 Report Posted April 19, 2003 I enjoy any movie reviewer who can stay informative and serious yet retain a casual writing style (hell, wish I could), although I suppose I'm a bit biased to talk about Leth's review, heh. But ay! One b in "Robins"... like the bird!
Guest Wild Italiano Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 No love for the Italian. Typical. I should trash all of you in my next column. But I won't. That's why God invented Jeff Hardy
Guest evenflowDDT Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 No love for the Italian. Typical. Well... not to be rude or anything, but your column seemed like more of a fluff intro. column than anything else to me.
Guest Wild Italiano Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 I 'spose I can't say other wise. It really was an intro. Expect Jeff to be ripped apart by midweek.
Guest DVD Spree Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 And...how f'n much longer are we going to have the Def Jam review stuck to the top of the page? I just want to address this, because I don't want heat with the rest of the staff. It's not by any means my call, but since said review is doing big business for the moment and has just been plugged in a Scott Keith rant (which obviously does mad numbers), the decision was made to leave it there a while longer. I'm not trying to hold anyone down or any of that sort of stuff.
Guest DVD Spree Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 I'd prefer to be Hogan, actually. At least he's actually been a DRAW in his career.
Guest DrTom Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 But when you're not a draw anymore, Dames will pay you your full salary to SIT AT HOME~! Wait...
Guest Retro Rob Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 The more columnist there are the less likely people are to realize I miss my deadline every week... HOORAY!!!!! Deadlines? Do we even have those around here?
Guest Dmann2000 Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 Regarding the 92 Rumble, The booking is what makes that match so great moreso than the work involved. Also, I think a better example of the Piper/Flair matchup would be Bret/Austin in 97. Yes in that Hart and Austin were more recent enemies over Jericho/RVD. But Jericho's character was closer to Flair. I mean Ric wasn't dumping guys one after the other without breaking a sweat and getting cocky.
Guest Dmann2000 Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 Whoops double post Besides, I got the best positive feedback of all...My mommy like it!
Guest teke184 Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 *Thinks about declaring himself the Bret Hart of TSM but doesn't want to look over his shoulder for Dames to yell RING THE FUCKING BELL!*
Guest goodhelmet Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 dude, the minute you take the bigger bucks, the sabotage is on!
Guest Dmann2000 Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 Sting/Cactus is up now on the site.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 The more columnist there are the less likely people are to realize I miss my deadline every week... HOORAY!!!!! Deadlines? Do we even have those around here? I think I'm supposed to contribute a column every 2 weeks. Whoops
Guest Wild Italiano Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Another reason why you should read my column. I get results Here From WWF.com WWE.com regrets to inform its fans that WWE has severed its relationship with Jeff Hardy effective today. We wish Jeff the best of luck.
Guest nWoScorpion Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 TSM IS RACIST!!! Because I'm a Hogan fan AND write too much like Scott Keith (style, not insults) I never been given a chance for a try out column. AND IT'S BECAUSE I'M BLACK!!! BTW, I liked the Movie Review, nice and smooth without losing track of the topic. Didn't read Searching for Answers yet. Already posted my thoughts on the RR 92 Match.
The Dames Posted April 22, 2003 Author Report Posted April 22, 2003 Hey Scorpion...you DO realize that I'm Puerto Rican and some of the other writers are black right? Dames
Guest nWoScorpion Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 I never noticed. LOL. REVERSE RACISM!! (j/k) <<not really black>>
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 The rest of the TSM writers have penis envy since I've been on staff.
The Dames Posted April 22, 2003 Author Report Posted April 22, 2003 And so will you as long as I'm the boss. Dames
The Dames Posted April 22, 2003 Author Report Posted April 22, 2003 .... My Penis >>>>> Your penis. Get a grip, Kotz! Dames
Guest Dmann2000 Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 I like kotzen cause he puts Doonesbury in his sig. Doonesbury is GOLD
