Yes The Critic is a great show and I struggled with choosing Buffy over it. The only reason I picked Buffy, was because alot of the humor on The Critic goes over the heads of the simple minded humanoids.

Honestly, there are so really bad picks on here, but it is "favorite shows" and not "best shows." So all I can say, is get some taste and some historical perspective

To be fair, he did take nominations

I know that Spiff, but I didn't see it til late and my picks didn't make it. As El Satanico said, the big problem was that the first 64 were taken and no thought was made to weed out some of the low rent shows that people just tossed out there for kicks. Also, people didn't make a lot of smart picks, as I said before get historical perspective and taste. When this is over, I'll probably draw up a second tourney of only cream of the crop shows.

I agree there definately could have been a better list of shows drawn up given a bit more time for consideration. Way too many American shows for a start

Instead of picking the first 64 choices, you should draw up a list of all the nominees, then have some kind of seeding round, where everyone votes for their top, say, 4 choices. The #1 pick is worth 5 points, #2 is worth 3, #3 is worth 2, and #4 is worth 1.

 

Then add up the points for all the show, and the show with the most points becomes the top seed, the show with the second-most becomes #2, and so on. Then you set up the brackets accordingly.
