Guest nikowwf Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Hey, you all got your wish. They cut Goldberg's feet out from under him, and the PPV should bomb! Then in may and june, when the question of a title switch comes up, they can just say that he is not over, and leave the title on our god and saviour HHH! Goldberg, the idiot babyface who not only gets carved up by Rock on the mike, mocked by Gillberg, can't start his car and gets set up and beat up not once, but twice! Isn't that great? niko
Guest JHawk Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Didn't Goldberg get his heat back by beating up Christian? And if the babyface is supposed to eventually win the feud, shouldn't the heel get the advantage at some point? I believe that was the major argument in the "When is Angle going to get one in on Brock" debate. Jesus dude, give the PPV a chance before dismissing it. It's called "saving it for the PPV".
King Cucaracha Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Yeah well, he'll beat Rock at Backlash. All is not lost for Goldberg.
Guest Polish_Rifle Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Those were some sick chairshots he took.
Guest notJames Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Yeah, I kept picturing Rock yelling "This is for Bret… and this is for your stupid comments about Sept. 11th… and this is for bad-mouthing my stupid asshole of a boss…" Rock just went up a few notches in my good list.
Guest Anglesault Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Hey, you all got your wish. They cut Goldberg's feet out from under him, and the PPV should bomb! Then in may and june, when the question of a title switch comes up, they can just say that he is not over, and leave the title on our god and saviour HHH! I don't want it on Goldberg either. That would be unacceptable. Booker, remember him? The guy who's not good enough because he's black? and this is for your stupid comments about Sept. 11th Explain.

At his website Goldberg went off on a long tangent on how the WWF did nothing for the victims of September 11th. He was a fucking moron because the WWF used WWFNY as a place for firemen to get food and I even think they let people sleep there overnight. They also gave $1 million to the Twin Towers Fund and visited various firehouses and Ground Zero. So yea- Goldberg's a fucking moron
Guest notJames Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 I meant about how Goldberg said the WWF did nothing to help in the aftermath of Sept. 11th, when they did in fact contribute a million dollars (I think). (Looks like Barron beat me to it. Thanks, dude.) Oh yeah, F.G.B.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Those were some sick chairshots he took. If there's one thing Rocky can do it's not holding back on a chairshot. Just ask Foley or Shamrock. Have they built up one match to this ppv the right way?
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 With HHH having his hands in the Kliq-pot, who is going to feud against Goldberg after Backlash?? JERICHO?
Guest AndrewTS Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Goldberg was screwed the second he started making all his excessive demands. Karma is just kicking him in the ass. It could be worse, Billy. You still have both quads. At least for now.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 *Hugs voodoo doll and put's more pins into the legs.*
Guest Polish_Rifle Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Goldberg was screwed the second he started making all his excessive demands. Karma is just kicking him in the ass. It could be worse, Billy. You still have both quads. At least for now. Things can always get worse. They can bring Chuck to Raw and have a new version of Billy and Chuck. Goldberg seemed at home with Goldust's wig last week. It shouldn't be too much of a stretch.
Guest Trivia247 Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 ohh Boy this thread couldn't be complete without me to wade in. Should we now feeeeel Sorry for the Goldberg??? What EXACTLY did they do to Him???? They treated him like a fucking wrestler??? OH MY GOD the HORROR! Nothing happen to Goldberg that was more horrible than what happens to Austin, Rock, Taker, when they get outsmarted by a heel and then Royally Beat down before a PPV. you should be happy Goldberg decided to be a Ass and get Up after the Chairshots instead of laying there till the commercial break and then get up. But I GUESS him treated like everyone else is a concept foreign to you. Goldberg should be enjoying some imported Water, and Never made to sell to anyone or make anyone look like a threat, He just Gotz ta Squash everyone including the Rock. see it wouldn't be as bad even to me, if Goldberg came in clean slate and started Squashing Lowcarders, you know Earning the spot...REMEMBER THAT CONCEPT? Buttttt no.. His First match....is at a Fucking PPV, and who is it against???? a Main eventer! Fuck Goldberg and everyone responsible for Goldberg
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 The problem is, as mentioned by Skeith, is that Goldberg shouldn't be treated like "another wrestler" - if he does then he will most definitely fail. Not that I mind, of course, I don't invest my time any more into the WWE product, so it's nice to watch the WWE fuck up again and again and again.
Guest notJames Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 In response to the title of this thread, my wish was for Goldberg to job to an oncoming train. So no, I still haven't gotten my wish. Unless you count the Clique Political Machine as a metaphorical train of sorts. Then, I sort of got my wish. Mixed blessing, I guess.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 We all have our own personal trains, it seems.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Those were some sick chairshots he took. If there's one thing Rocky can do it's not holding back on a chairshot. Goldberg should be a man and take the chair shots right. Be the so called "tough guy" he says he is and stay still, instead of flitching and moving around when the chair is coming at him. He kept' moving out of the way and it looked like Rock just said "screw it" and swung the chair harder.
Guest notJames Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 I keep jobbing to the "Why do I keep watching RAW if it sucks so bad" freight train. Or... I enjoy watching train wrecks.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Ah, the WWE train... The Lil Engine that Couldn't stop sucking if it's Lil life depended on it.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Isn't that great? uh huh
Guest EternallyLazy Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 If Goldberg had been built up as a monster that gets the best of the Rock in every outing, people would be complaining about it just as they did with Brock/Angle. You just can't please some people, I guess
Guest El Satanico Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Yes...I have no problem with what they're doing with Goldberg. If he can't get over and stay over without being booked as a complete monster that can't be stopped then fuck him. If :gasp: "character development" kills Goldie's overness fuck him.
Guest newblood03 Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 OKs o you are saying he should earn his spot since he is in another fed? well should Bret Hart had to of earned his spot in WCW... dont say well he had years of expiereice blah blah blah....your point is because they are in new feds
Guest notJames Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 No, the point is that Goldberg is notorious for having no respect for the business. He was given everything on a silver platter and still hardly had a lasting effect on the industry. He also turned his back on both the fans that believed in him and the business that put all that lovely money on his plate before AOL/TimeWarner pulled the plug. If anyone deserves to pay dues, it's Goldberg. F.G.B.
Guest newblood03 Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 How did he turn his backs on his fans.....And are you telling me if you were Goldberg you wouldnt have took everything handed to you .that you would have worked your way up when you could jsut blow up on the scene.
Guest Mad Dog Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Is it just me or would a blade job have made that beatdown truely great?
Guest notJames Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Not everyone is motivated by money. Even gobs and gobs of it. Wrestling has a rich history, paved by men with their sweat, blood, tears, and dreams. My personal hero died for this industry. What Goldberg did was enter an industry he had no love for, gave less than 100% of himself once the Powers That Be stopped catering to his mystique, took the easy money instead of taking the WWF buyout so he could continue wrestling and pleasing the fans he supposedly loved, then turned around and hypocritically took a job with that same company when, not too long ago, he deemed it the 10th Circle of Hades. So I think it goes without saying that everything bad that has happened and will happen to Goldberg from here on out is richly overdue. F.G.B. (BTW, don't take my little tirade as a personal attack on you. We all have opinions. Some of us are just more vocal and vitriolic with them.)
