Guest Downhome Report post Posted April 22, 2003 Maybe Jeff was confused, thought that Bishoff really fired Lita, and he made a scene about it?
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted April 22, 2003 Since it just went up today, maybe he no showed Raw last night? If that wasa problem they could have just gone out to the front of the building and dragged him out of the gutter.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted April 22, 2003 Trish must be really happy. Trish must be doing jumping jacks. The thought of Trish doing jumping jacks makes ME happy. Jeff's really fired?! I thought he was just taken off shows for "personal problems?"

Guest oldschoolwrestling Report post Posted April 22, 2003 Trish needs to go get rabies shots. As far as NWA-TNA, they work once a week, I think he can be on time once a week if he tries really hard. And he doesn't have to cross the country to get there. If he can motivate himself once a week I wouldn't mind. But he couldn't seem to motivate himself once a week for Raw so who knows. Guest Eagan469 Report post Posted April 22, 2003 if you think about it, Jeff was probably supposed to make the save when the Dudleys were putting Trish through the table last night

Guest Downhome Report post Posted April 22, 2003 if you think about it, Jeff was probably supposed to make the save when the Dudleys were putting Trish through the table last night I looked at that as a cheap out anyhow. Even as that was happening, I was wondering where in the hell Jeff was. Shouldn't he have just been in Spike's place anyway?
Guest Downhome Report post Posted April 22, 2003 From 1wrestling... WWE.com posted the following today. "WWE.com regrets to inform its fans that WWE has severed its relationship with Jeff Hardy effective today. We wish Jeff the best of luck." To be honest, this really shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. In recent months, Hardy had been late for or missed more than a few WWE house show events. It had become clear that the grind of being on the road so much had gotten old to him and that he didn't enjoy the demands being a full time worker placed on him. WWE had cut back on his dates in an effort to help Hardy get rejuvenated before taking him off house shows and television completely last week, for what I was told were "personal reasons". Hardy had been doing a lot of road work recently with the release of he and brother Matt's new book. In a few of the interviews on the press tour, he had said that he hadn't lost his fire for the business but those close to him have told us a different story. Now, Hardy is free of his wrestling commitments and can do what he wants with his life, and attend to any personal matters he may have. People close to Jeff have told me for years that he doesn't share his brother Matt's passion for the business and that he has saved a lot of the money he has earned and doesn't "need to wrestle". Like WWE.com, I too wish Jeff the best and thank him for all of the great matches he gave to the fans. ...there ya go.
Guest tpww7 Report post Posted April 22, 2003 I couldnt find any info about Jeff Hardy out in the gutters in Atlanta but I found this. And to give you another entry into the famous "How The Mighty Have Fallen" book, on the way driving out of the Philips Arena vicinity, I spotted Ron Killings on the side of the road with two people with him. I rolled down the window and said "What's up, Kwik" and he came over to the car to ask me if I wanted to buy a CD he was selling for $10. I asked what it was and he said it was a CD of him rapping on Vince McMahon and I politely declined.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted April 22, 2003 Man, with the Rock gone after Backlash, and now Jeff fired... Who are the women going to cheer? *nods head* I know... Sweet Sho Funaki.
Guest My Eyebrow is on fire Report post Posted April 22, 2003 Willow the Wisp = Willie the Worker after all. Oh well, I can only hope he'll go to TNA and put on some cool X division matches - that'll draw maybe a hundred or so buys.

Guest Polish_Rifle Report post Posted April 22, 2003 Good for him. This is exactly what he wanted and I think the break will do him some good. He can make music, be a farmer and do whatever else he has a passion for. I definitely see him coming back in a few years though.

Guest Downhome Report post Posted April 22, 2003 TNA would, in theory, be the perfect place for him. He wouldn't have to work hardly any dates every month, he still gets exposure, TNA gets another WWE "star" to make their fed look that much more familier to their fans, and Jeff Hardy (since he will have so few dates to work) will have plenty of time to deal with and do whatever he wants to outside of the ring. He'll be in TNA within the month.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted April 22, 2003 Oh Jeff Hardy You came and you're gone and we're happy. So we send you away Oh Jeff Hardy You're wrestling sucked, so very much, you're so crappy. I'm so happy today.. Oh Jeff Hardy...

I think he's serious about music I'm sure he was burned out, in WWE he has to work so offten, which led to him no-showing various RAW's and House Shows. In TNA, he only has to work one night a week, right? I know he has other stuff he wants to do, but I could certainly see him in TNA just to stay in the light, if for no other reason. Guest bob_barron Report post Posted April 22, 2003 I read the book and he doesn't seem interested in being in the spotlight. He's a loner who seems to enjoy being on his own and doing his own thing. Music and poetry sound like his main hobbies at the music. He sounded so disinterested about wrestling.
Guest notJames Report post Posted April 22, 2003 Jeff doesn't have the wrestling fire in him anymore. No matter how many times he says it, it showed in his work. Better that he concentrate on his music/girlfriend/health/sanity/happiness, rather than stay in a job he doesn't like and potentially hurt himself or others. And the amicable split tells me that the door to Titan Towers will still be open to him in the future.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted April 22, 2003 Plus in TNA he has Raven. And Raven 'knows some people' who could 'help' Jeff Hardy 'out'.
Guest TheImmortal Report post Posted April 22, 2003 I don't really see this as a "break". You don't use the term SEVER TIES with, unless you want someone the hell out of your company. Wonder why he got the boot. Was he Willy the Worker? Was it drugs? Or did Vince find: Jeff Hardy's Diary ?

Guest KingOfOldSchool Report post Posted April 22, 2003 Oh, happy day! Okay, so it's not Triple H breaking up with Steph and doing something to piss off Vince enough to get him fired, but I'll take what I can get. I was a fan of Jeff back when he and Matt were given the '99 push. But it's clear that he's completely un-motivated and disinterested in wrestling. He's compleely worthless now aside from the merchandise dollars he brings in. So it's better to get him out now instead of wasting more time on him and waiting for him to come around. And to be honest, I've seen it coming for a while now.
Guest Ascalon Report post Posted April 22, 2003 Jeff Hardy should know a few things after this... 1) Drugs are bad. 2) Body paint is ghey...uber-ube-ruber-"un-extreme"ghey.
