Guest RedJed Report post Posted April 23, 2003 Cmon guys, Jeff Hardy being brought in isnt going to immediately bring in a bunch of females (not to mention ANYONE) to jump on the product and make ppv buys out of nowhere, I refuse to believe he's that big of a draw to that manner. If there was a significant woman fanbase to him to the point where its considered a draw, we would have seen it in the WWE ratings breakdowns for his matches. Yes, he was over in WWE but that doesnt mean he can draw. Likewise, it wouldn't turn up the notch on attendance either, all that would happen would be that the fat broads who go crazy for AJ Styles would now go crazy for Jeff too. Big f'n deal. Guest El Satanico Report post Posted April 23, 2003 Exactly... Anyone who honestly believes that all of Jeffrey's teenage girl audience is going to watch TNA now are nuts. Most of his teen fans have probably never even heard of TNA and even if they did they wouldn't be allowed to order a PPV everyweek. If they were on free TV Hardy could maybe raise the ratings some, but he'd have no impact on buy rates.
Guest Bart913 Report post Posted April 23, 2003 Would Jeff Hardy even be able to debut any time soon? He may be gone, but maybe they will still restrict him from working anywhere else. That is the way they worked things out with Mick Foley. He wanted out to pursue other interests and they let him go. The only thing was that he couldn't work anywhere else until December 2002(when his original deal would've expired).
Guest bravesfan Report post Posted April 24, 2003 Not that it's a matter of whether or not Jeff Hardy can draw (even though his merchandise sales were in the top slot at both live events and on ShopZone), it's whether Jeff wants to wrestle for ANYONE right now. Obviously, the WWE gave him every opportunity to take time off, sort his priorities out and maybe make a return. He was receiving GUARANTEED MONEY (arguably, something that NWA can't offer) and he instead refused it, and severed his ties with the WWE. He's obviously been wanting to get out of the wrestling scene for a while now. The last two years, he was running on fumes, as to allow his brother (the one who WANTS to wrestle) to get a decent push upon a singles run.
Adam 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2003 I say Jeff would be good in the flock as a dark brooding character in the mould of Raven. He would fit in perfectly in that role, plus he would bring in a few more buys. Sure, he's a shell of what he used to be, but if he gets the motivation (and being in the same group with Alexis would give ANYONE the motivation), he could have matches as good as his No Way Out encounter with Chris Jericho
