Guest JMTapes Report post Posted March 23, 2002 The top says it all. Is he still under contract? If so, why the #### don't we see him instead of Sho Funaki? Thanks! -Jim
Guest converge241 Report post Posted March 23, 2002 I believe he had some Knee problems . It might have been shoulder. He is still under contract and may be at the draft.

Guest Dace59 Report post Posted March 23, 2002 It was shoulder problems, his left shoulder has been bad for a long time now. He's home in Japan resting up, contract status is questionible. Oh, and it's TAKA, always all caps, otherwise it's wrong. Lots of wrestlers in Japan, mainly heels have a capped name in English becuase it looks cool. Guest converge241 Report post Posted March 23, 2002 Thanks for the correction on the body part Dace. sorry about the TAKA too
Guest Dace59 Report post Posted March 23, 2002 Heh, anytime. I know someone that thought it was TAKA cuz it meant The Artist Know As, been as he works in M-Pro... the things some people think of. TAKA is great, like is fake plancha to the top rope, the a cross turnbuckle dive... but the MD 1 (double underhook brainbuster) is dire... still I wanna see him back any day. Guest One Bad Apple Report post Posted March 24, 2002 I hope he was offered a new contract. Funaki, too. I love Funaki.
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Report post Posted March 24, 2002 I was pretty sure Taka actually got resigned a little while ago. The WWF apparently is pretty high on him due to the fact that he has been there for a long time (relatively speaking) and has never complained and has always done what they've asked, which is obviously something they value. Guest The Masked Yodeler Report post Posted March 24, 2002 Yeah, they love him because he's perfectly happy as a jobber. Maybe he'll get a decent role in the new cruiserweight division? TAKA v. Rey *drool*
Guest Dace59 Report post Posted March 24, 2002 Rey Jr. might even take the frickin MD 2 properly... as a scoop slam to sit out inverted piledriver (Yes, like Owen's neck compressing one, but with the legs out, not cradling the head), and not a soft scoop to sitout scoop slam
