If you think the WWE sucks now wait until you hear

Rockabilly will be over as much as 50 Cent at a Stmopin' Tomm concert. It ain't happening. he has gone through too many character changes, and ordeals. He's nothing but the loyal WWE mid-carder. Besides, I hear Mike Barton isn't doing too much.

Monty still sucks on the mic and has never been really over except with cheap heat--like playing a gay wrestler.

I dunno dude, I think that the New Age Outlaws were pretty over. Heel or not, they got huge pops around my area.

The team was over, Billy wasn't. He was given the 1999 KotR title and a heel turn, a fued with the Rock, and still fans didn't give a crap about him and he was just put back with Road Dogg before the year was out.

Yeah, outside of DX and a completly gay angle, Billy couldn't get over to save his life. When he comes back he'll get that welcome back pop...but a month later it'll be same as usual.

I think ol' Kipp isn't a terrible worker, but he's not really a good one either. He's strictly mediocre, and is one of the worst on the stick (well, better than Brock, but still not very good).

I actually liked him in the B&C tandem. He and Chuck bumped, sold, and JOBBED to Two Count (Helms and Moore) despite the size difference. However, he isn't going to set the world afire with his wrestling, promos, or character.

Besides, I think Vince already long gave up on him and moved onto pushing other "studs" and "hosses." So he became a tag team whore for a while, briefly forming "Double Trouble Crap on a Stick" with Big Show to try to recreate that magic Head Cheese had (although if Gunn is playing the charismatic one on your team). Then that fateful Heat he locked eyes with Chuck and formed a love connection. For all the stupidity it involved, the B&C team was funny at times and had some decent matches here and there. Plus at least Rico fit in with them and got slightly more ring time then.

So probably if they give him a big push after coming back, it'll fail, be aborted, and he'll be waiting in front of the locker rooms with a "Will tag for heat" (or ON Heat) sign.

Well they are already running out of faces on Raw, and SD! could probably use someone to job to Brock so I wouldn't be surprised to see him get a title shot on PPV especially with the brand exclusive ones coming up.

So Brock vs. Billy Gunn will headline a future PPV, probably within 6 months?!

Oh, crap....

Let him come back and let him get 0 heat and have him pushed down to feud with the Dudleys or something. No skin off my back.

*shrugs* So Gunn wants to become the World Champ?

Good for him. I don't think HHH will let go of his vanity though, so I think Gunn's got a hell of a battle if he ends up on Raw.

If Gunn is still on the SD roster, well, good luck winning it.

Justin Credible/Aldo Montoya was the closest anyone came to getting in The Clique without really being in The Clique.

I never heard anything about Billy being friends with them.

Yeah...Credible came *-* that CLOSE to getting in.

People whom were on the CUSP of the group...

Billy Gunn

Credible

Chris Jericho (Yes, he IS good friends with Shawn and Hunter and HHH must see him as a Partner in his war against Goldy)

British Bulldog (Often seen Hanging out in Bars with them)

Well he has everything Vince likes in a wrestler, having blond hair and being reasonably big so I don't doubt that he will be pushed. But the problem is that no matter how hard they try the guy just can not get over. He sucks in the ring, he sucks on the mike and just can't connect with the fans in anyway. The only time in his career that he has been over was when he was in the NAO with Road Dogg doing all the mike work and him merely saying, "suck it" and pointing to his ass. I'd take HHH as champion over this guy any day of the week.

I was a Mr. Ass mark.

His long abscence in 2000 caused me to stop caring, but I didn't actively not like him until he dropped Benoit

Not any more. At that point, I would have cheered anyone who beat up X-Pac. I was anti-X-Pac long before the heel turn and before I knew wbout the Kliq.

And SOH isn't that much better than Gunn

That was scary. It was lucky Benoit tucked his head in to avoid getting seriously injured. If it was a less experienced wrestler they might not be here right now.

Lots of marks hated X-Pac even as a face. He was an annoying, repetitive little shit.

Although the jury is still out on SOH since he hasn't wrestled on TV lately.

Or their match against Knoble/Tajiri where Billy sold the leg work LIKE A CHAMP, even limping after the match (wait, maybe I shouldn't use "champ" and "Billy" in the same sentence).

Anyway:

Billy in a tag team = tolerable

Billy & Chuck = OWNED~!

Billy getting a singles push = BAD

As far as tag team wrestling goes I was a fan of Billy Gunn and the teams he was in (Smoking Gunns, NAO, B&C). And I thought they were all good. But, as a singles wrestler the guy really sucks. So, when he comes back and put him with a good wrestler I think they could work out fine.

How come everyone is acting like Billy Gunn doesn't suck all of a sudden?

Compared to who Vince has/is/will be pushing, he doesn't suck that bad.

Plus he isn't 5 years away from qualifying for social security.

If it came between an old crappy wrestler who couldn't get over as a singles wrestler, like Billy Gunn, or a new, fresh, crappy wrestler, for instance Batista, getting a push, I'd pick the new guy.

You know, back in late 2000, "The One" was really over, if I recall. Why was that? Just his association with Chyna? And if so, why was Chyna over? Looking back, things were pretty crappy, but people still ate it up. Oh well, not much we can do.
