TNA Status of Sabu

[Guest Smell the ratings!!!]

TNA has been in contact with Sabu about returning to the promotion as part of Team Extreme with the Sandman, New Jack and others.

 

Sabu to this point has refused, as he had a bad experience with TNA last summer. He is insisting that Jeff Jarrett personally call him to bring him back, and has rejected attempts by Bob Ryder or Scott D'Amore to talk him into returning.

While it would be nice to see Sabu back in TNA, I think it'd be more appropriate if he joined up with the Disciples of the New Church for some reason. I just don't really see him as one of Raven's followers, but that me.

TNA treated him badly- bullshit. He got to go over the resident monster heel clean and the next week was in a World title match.

 

He's nothing but a whiny overpaid past-his-prime primadonna at this point, TNA definitely does not need him.

He's not worth bringing in at all. His last stint was underwhelming and he's more a shell of his former self than probably ever before. He had a match with Kashin at the last W-1 ppv that was f'n awful.

Hmmm well he's had a few bright spots since 97 (matches with RVD and Credible off the top of my head were good) but he sure hasn't been CONSISTENT since then, thats for sure.

IMO, Sabu was never really that good anyways.

He blew more spots than he could pull off, and I could never see him as a 'star'.

I use to like Sabu, but outside of small indies he's just not a draw anymore. He brings nothing to TNA...just like the Harris Bros

to be honest, i don't buy ANY of Team Extreme as Raven followers.

especially New Jack. he always struck me as a loner, even when he was with Mustapha. and how sad is it when you need NEW JACK to carry you?

The thing is, bringing sabu in would be pointless for business. The guys who know him and used to mark out for him know that he is now crap.

I was backstage at the IWS show in Atlantic City that Sabu worked. He stormed into the locker room 10 minutes before the show, looking pissed off for no apparent reason and didn't say a word. He had the second match, and when I came back at intermission, he'd already left while Public Enemy, who was in the first match, was hanging out with the guys in the back.

 

Highlight of that night: Seeing Kamala in his purple underwear with his make-up on.
