They're going to Protest Mr. Rogers

Recommended Posts

Guest cynicalprofit

Saturday May 3rd, a group, who I'mn pretty sure runs www.godhatesfags.com, which some of you may remember was linked on that psycho christain kids website that we helped shut down, are going to protest the Mr. Rogers Memorial and 2 other places on Saturday May 3rd, in Pittsburgh Pa.

There will be counter protest, and if you live in the area, I recommend you come out and see the fun.(So for those who cared, I live in pittsburgh, and if anyone wants to buy some commerical tapes for 5 bucks each, we can talk shop.)

The times and places of the protest.

1:30 pm-2:30 pm

University of Pittsburgh, Heinz Memorial Chapel, 1212 Cathedral of Learning

2:45-3:15 Pittsburgh Post Gazette, 34 Blvd of the Allies

3:30-4:00 Chatham College, 5th Ave & Woodland

Either way, these people are fucked up for protesting mr. rogers, a guy who was a minster and wished ill will on no one.

So have a nice day people.

I remember reading about this before. I think they may have protested a memorial service after his funeral. Apparantly, since Mr. Rogers was a minister of a demoniation that, get this, does not hate homosexuals and does not believe that they are going to burn in hell for being gay, then Mr. Rogers is wrong and will himself burn in hell. At least that's according to these wackos.

Good to hear that's there will be a counter protest. I'm sure you'll outnumber them easily. Could you let us know if you come up with any good signs and/or slogans?

I hope these people get the shit kicked out of them, have the abmulances get lost en route to pick them up, then have to ride on very bumpy roads to the hospital. Even that's better than they deserve.

Yea- I remember the thread about this before and seeing the link almost made physically ill.

The ONLY reason I would not advocate violence is because Mr. Rogers stood for non-violence and being peaceful and I don't think he would like to see his counter protesters beating the shit out of people.

But off the record- they'll burn in hell one day. They wish they could be 1/1000th of the man Mr. Rogers was

This is utterly disgusting. That's pretty much all I'm going to say on this.

1. God hates sinful nature. And the protestors have that in spades as much as anyone else does, gay or straight.

2. If they had a Christian bone on their unfortunate, disgusting bodies, they'd realize that Mr. Rogers had it right. We're not supposed to hate. That's not the message of Jesus Christ and it never has been.

Mr Rogers sends messages of non hate and HE is going to hell, RIIIIIIIIIGHT. These people make me question why organize religion lets these people say these stupid things.

Mr Rogers is one of the most peaceful men of all time. All he talked about was love, care, helping, and being a good neighbor. There wasn't a single bone in his body for hate. These people are on a one way ticket to hell and they might get their sooner than later if they get out of line at this protest. And this group isn't to protest Mr Rogers. They are out to push their name in the papers.

I hope the press doesn't give the name of this group or their website. So not to give them what they want, free press.

Everyone at the counterprotest should wear a cardigan.

Careful with the blanket accusation against "Organized Religion". These nuts obviously don't know doctrine from a hole in the ground. And Rogers himself was an ordained Presbyterian minister, so he himself was a part of "Organized Religion".

Everyone at the counterprotest should wear a cardigan.

And pack a Glock underneath it, for the betterment of the gene pool.

Ha -- So "Won't you be my neighbor?" did have a double-meaning all along. I knew it.

That sly bastard...

Glock? No, no, no, everyone grab a good stick or club and then that way, we can make our point OVER AND OVER AND OVER.

Seriously, provided I could get there, my sign would simply read "God is Love" and stand there in plain sight with earplugs. That would piss these idiots off to no end.

I'd wear a sweater and shoot bottle rockets at the protestors.

First off, lemme just say that I hope these people that are so full of hate because a man decides to stick his winky in another man's bumhole need to buy some Preparation-H and get laid.

Second off, I have a question for SpiderPoet. I know that in the Book of Leviticus, something is said that is commonly used as leverage against homosexuality. What is your stance on it?

I'm not sure what you're talking about. I've strayed from Leviticus cuz of the headaches of Old Testament Law. As a Christian, Jesus did away with alot of it in favor of the New Covenant. I think what he said applies to any and all sin. "Love the sinner, hate the sin." He clearly seperated the two and applied the appropriate action in one phrase. I'm not gonna argue with God over it. :)
