Guest Mole Report post Posted April 30, 2003 They will put the matches he recently had with Triple-Juice on there, because WWE is dumb like that. Knowing WWE, they will probably screw this DVD up. I really hope they don't screw the Rey DVD up, I will be really really disapointed. Does anyone know when that is coming out?
Guest The Decadent Slacker Report post Posted April 30, 2003 What I'd have on this seemingly AWESOME DVD: Vs Bret-WM12 Vs Jannetty-RAW '93 (the MOTY one) Vs Diesel-Good Friends, Better Enemies Vs Jarrett-IYH2 Vs Santana-WM8 Vs HHH-RAW '96 Vs Owen-IYH Feb. '96 w/Austin Vs Bulldog/Owen-RAW '97 Vs Austin-KOTR '97 Vs Razor-WM10 Vs Bulldog-SNME w/Jannetty Vs Barbarian/Haku-WM7 w/Diesel Vs Razor/123 Kid-Action Zone '94(?) Vs Vader-SummSlam '96 Royal Rumble '96 w/HHH Vs Mankind/Taker-RAW '97 Vs Taker-HITC '97 Vs DiBiase-Coluseum Vid '90(?) Vs Sid-RAW '95 Vs Taker-Royal Rumble '98 Vs Bulldog-KOTR '96 w/Flair Vs Savage/Bret-Col. Video Vs Savage-Col. Video (World Tour '92) That's all i can think or that i personally like right now. Foley/HBK is on the Foley DVD, so no point. HITC is there only because of it's noteriety, not to mention it's not worth the purchase of a Taker DVD, imo. feel free to correct me, if you care. The Rey one is May 26th, I believe. I'm positive it is in late May though, because I made a mental note that it was shortly after my birthday (the 22nd). Guest bravesfan Report post Posted April 30, 2003 Both Rey Mysterio: 619 and Wrestlemania XIX come out on May 27th, though you'll probably find it a few days early in some of the chains that carry WWE DVD's (FYE, Sam Goody, Suncoast).
Guest pochorenella Report post Posted April 30, 2003 I think we can rule out the following matches being included, since they're already on other DVDs: HITC - It's My Yard DVD One Night Only match - Rebellion 2002 DVD Mind Games - HK&CP DVD Montreal screwjob - Confidential DVD I'd really like to see: vs. Diesel - IYH Good Friends... vs. Jeff Jarret - IYH vs. Marty Janetty - any of their RAW matches vs. Austin - either WMXIV or KOTR Rockers matches, preferably vs. Brainbusters in SNME or vs. Hart Foundation with Diesel vs. Kid/Razor from Action Zone and a ton more but gotta be realistic, they can't possibly put them all. But I'm buying it no matter what matches are included.
Guest SP-1 Report post Posted April 30, 2003 I'd like to have the WM12 Iron Man on it. Otherwise I'm not sure. But I'm sure I'll buy it regardless.
cawthon777 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2003 Does anybody know if the best of 3 falls phantom title switch match with the Rockers-Harts in 1990 was at a TV taping? That would be a sweet match to have. It was at a TV taping, in Ft. Wayne, IN specifically. They taped one of the Main Event episodes the same night - Warrior vs. Dibiase was the title match. I want early singles HBK, like 92-93, vs. Jannetty, Razor, Perfect, Martel, Bret, hell - even Virgil. I mark out for Sherri's theme.
Guest Lil Naitch Report post Posted April 30, 2003 Then all they have to do is come out with a Flair DVD, and A Hart DVD, and I'd be a happy camper. Funny thing is, half the matches everybody has listed I've either got on VHS (WM 12) or downloaded (HBK/Flair vs Savage/Hart), but I'll still end up buing it no matter what. Guest DokDoyle Report post Posted April 30, 2003 I want to see the Clique tag match I'm always hearing about. I think it was HBK/Diesel vs Razor/123 Kidd, from Superstars or one of the b-level shows. That tag match was on the first episode of the Action Zone

Guest bob_barron Report post Posted May 1, 2003 I would never buy a DVD devoted to Shawn Michaels- it just seems like a waste of money. mole- What would be wrong with them putting his matches on HHH there? Two of them were quite good and I wouldnt mind if they put the Armageddon match on there since it'd be nice if newer fans viewed Shawn as a crappy washed up has been who can't do a splash off a ladder

Two of them were quite good and I wouldnt mind if they put the Armageddon match on there since it'd be nice if newer fans viewed Shawn as a crappy washed up has been who can't do a splash off a ladder You, sir, don't know what you're talking about. Like it or not, Shawn Michaels HAS had some of the greatest matches in WWE history. And even now, how the hell can you call the guy washed up ? He's still having some of the best matches on the card, and it's like his back injury hasn't affected him at all. You can honestly say that the Jericho/HBK match wasn't good ? I personally thought it was the match of the night, and it definitely can't be attributed all to Jericho. And as for Backlash, Shawn Michaels was probably the most ALIVE guy in that match. So far, out of his entire comeback, he's had one below average-average match, and that was against HHH at Armageddon. And even that wasn't too bad, considering we had Edge/A-Train and Kane/Batista on the same god-damn card ! And as for the splash off the ladder, he screwed it up a little. You act like he came tumbling down and landed right on his head. He jjust screwed up the splash a little, and it's quite obvious that, if given the opportunity, he could probably do it RIGHT. Look at the SummerSlam match where he dove off of the top rope with a splash through the table. You obviously don't like Shawn's conduct from YEARS AGO, so you use that to bias your opinion and call him a shitty wrestler now. Which just isn't true. I personally think a DVD devoted to Shawn Michaels is WELL worth the money and, in fact, he may be one of the best wrestlers in WWE history. Try to push the guy's past conduct away, and just take the matches for what they are. He's a pretty good wrestler right now (in my opinion, great), and to suggest he's completely washed up makes you look foolish.

I thaught his Raw match vs RVD was bad. BUt, yea, i agree with you, hes been fantastic in the ring since hes come back. Alot of ppl do hold grudges against him for his past kliq actions, but i dont think that has any bearing on his matches since his comeback.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted May 2, 2003 And even now, how the hell can you call the guy washed up ? Easy- he has almost no charisma left and can't cut a decent promo to save his life. He's been protected in every match he's been in- except for two. One was the snoozefest with RVD and the other was a carry job by Jericho that saw Shawn no-sell the psychology of the match. I personally thought it was the match of the night, and it definitely can't be attributed all to Jericho. And as for Backlash, Shawn Michaels was probably the most ALIVE guy in that match. I liked Angle v. Lesnar more since the ending didnt have me absolutely steaming and in fits of rage. It can be attributed mostly to Jericho's work and Shawn's experience of knowing how to work a crowd. Jericho did most of the work though. So far, out of his entire comeback, he's had one below average-average match, and that was against HHH at Armageddon. And even that wasn't too bad, considering we had Edge/A-Train and Kane/Batista on the same god-damn card ! So because there matches that you deem worse- that excuses 38 minutes of egofuckery and boredom? And despite almost seeing ATrain's pubes- I liked that match more. I also thought the RVD match wasn't that great either. And as for the splash off the ladder, he screwed it up a little. You act like he came tumbling down and landed right on his head. He jjust screwed up the splash a little, and it's quite obvious that, if given the opportunity, he could probably do it RIGHT. A little? He hit knees first and completely looked like a moron. There also was the thrilling part of the match where HBK and HHH sat on top of the cage doing nothing. Shawn's big bump at the end would've impressed me more had not been telegraphed. You obviously don't like Shawn's conduct from YEARS AGO, so you use that to bias your opinion and call him a shitty wrestler now. No- I don't like Shawn's contact from back then or no. I will admit that the Summerslam match was awesome but in matches where Shawn wasn't protected with extra-curriculars- it's obvious he hasn't that good. He has no business being on my TV screen seeing as how he doesn't put anyone over, continues to be a non draw and forgot how to cut a good promo. He's a pretty good wrestler right now (in my opinion, great), and to suggest he's completely washed up makes you look foolish. He puts on matches that entertain you because the matches are designed to protect him and to not expose his limitations in the ring. One of the reasons I would NOT buy the DVD is because I know the main feature would be 60-90 min of Shawn Michaels bullshit.

Guest Choken One Report post Posted May 2, 2003 Why would you want a RVD DVD? Every match in ECW was pretty much the same anyways...Very few memorable Promos... Just buy a RVD Comp..
Guest The Decadent Slacker Report post Posted May 2, 2003 Shawn has been pretty good since coming back. not to the level he once was, but he's been well above most of the RAW roster. him now is not what the people interested in the DVD want though; they want the guy who went 60+ with Bret, or made the ladder match famous. THAT'S what is worth buying it for, provided it has those moments from the once great but still pretty good Michaels. the Clique stuff isn't an issue, imo. sure, he's got an asshole streak about him, but that didn't keep him from being involved in MOTYC from '93-97. i'm not condoning the Clique shit, but the past is the past & bitching about stuff from nearly 10 years ago is stupid. my main point is he had some LEGENDARY matches, & those are what people want to see. you don't like it, don't buy it, but don't come bitching to those who will.
