rising up out of the back seat-nuh Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 Basically, i want to play AVI movie files on my computor, but i dont have a compatible player, and dont want to pay for one. I looked on Download.com, but couldn't find anything. Anyone know of any good free ones (or any others i could pick up through Kazaa)? Thanks

rising up out of the back seat-nuh Posted April 30, 2003 Author Report Posted April 30, 2003 Gah, it still wont work! Ta tho dude.
Guest Marshall Posted April 30, 2003 Report Posted April 30, 2003 Divx player? God hates it....Seriously, it works...unless you have a sony viao laptop, then no avi files work at all.
Guest NoCalMike Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 www.divx.com fixed all my AVI worries. Try it
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 Do you have a really old computer or something? Most machines with Win98 or more have an app that can play AVI files.
Guest Eagan469 Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 the AVI file might be encoded with DivX or Xvid - you have to install those codecs
Guest JMTapes Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 Just go on Kazaa and do a search for "Nimo Codec Pack." This will make just about anything work.
LaParkaYourCar Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 So you want a "God free AVI Player"??? I didn't know there needed to be separation of Church and Software?
