I love that each and every guy I picked way back before the playoffs started is a nominee. :D

Only guy I'd change is Turco to Brodeur. Other than that...Forsberg for the Hart, MacInnis for the Norris, Zetterberg for the Calder, Martin for the Adams, Lehtinen for the Selke and Modano for the Lady Byng.

Turco's not as much a no-brainer as you'd think...he was injured for a good part of the season, and he had a much better team in front of him.

Am I the only one who thinks Madden should win the Selke?

Yes, in that you're probably the only one who's given the Selke any serious thought.

Hart - Forsberg

Vezina - Brodeur

Norris - Lidstrom

Adams - Lemaire

Calder - Zetterberg (show how crappy a year it was for rookies)

Selke - Madden (would have been Lehtinen until I saw what Madden did to Thornton in the postseason)

Lady Byng - Lidstrom

Calder - Zetterberg (show how crappy a year it was for rookies)

What's that suppose to mean? He put up great numbers and when you factor in that he played on a team that spread their scoring out amongst everyone it's even more impressive. I'm really looking forward to what he's going to do in the coming years.

Markus Naslund, Vancouver

Peter Forsberg, Colorado

Martin Brodeur, New Jersey (I can't believe he is up for this, he is the most overrated player ever, he is a great goalie but he faces about 15 shots a game and usually only needs to make 1-2 actual saves, with that style they play he is never in trouble)

Why is everyone giving the Norris to Lidstrom? MacInnis practically carried the Blues defense with Pronger out almost all year.

Mostly because Lidstrom doubled MacInnis' +/-. But Al would be just as deserving.

Pronger being out is why I voted Jackman the Calder. Zetterberg had a terrific 2nd half but Jackman stepped in and filled a huge void all year.

The Madden/Lehtinen hinged on the same thing .Lehtinen was a +39 and Madden was a +15 or 11.

Modano had 30 pm compared to Mogilny's 12 both averaging a little over 20 minutes a game.

Why not? Tampa's been bottom feeder for most of their existance, they improved by 24 points this year and won their division for the first time. A good a case to make for him as anybody.

I feel that it's a relatively crappy year in comparison to the last 10 years or so: winners included Forsberg, Belfour, Alfredsson, Bure, Brodeur, Selanne, Samsonov, Drury.

Last year you had TWO bona fide stars in Heatley and Kovalchuk.

I just think that Zetterberg will be a good player, but be more comparable with the Nabokov, Gomez, Berard type winners. Good but not great.
