Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 I think its sad, to see this sort of story.. In the light of the whole Steve Austin debacle, if this turns out to be what it looks like it could be, it won't be very good for wrestlers images even though Luger hadn't wrestled in some time..
Guest Frankie Williams Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 HOLY SHIT. IT WAS ELIZABETH!!!! "Multiple sources have confirmed to 1Wrestling.com that the female involved in the incident at Lex Luger's home this morning was his longtime companion "Miss Elizabeth". Sources tell 1Wrestling.com that authorities responded early this morning to a 911 call placed by Luger (real name Larry Pfohl)and that Elizabeth (real name Elizabeth Hulette) was rushed to a local Cobb County hospital where she passed away. Sources say Luger was taken into custody this morning, but it is not know whether any charges have been lodged against him at this time. Local media in Atlanta is reporting that police responded to a domestic disturbance on Easter at Luger's residence. There is no indication at this time that the incident this morning involved violence."
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 Man, a lot of you people are so tasteless. I just love how when someone like Curt Hennig (RIP) passes on, it's all sombre and serious. Yet when it's possibly Elizabeth (whether or not she was an active wrestler makes no difference, she was still a large part of the 80's wrestling boom) who has passed on, it's all jokes and nonsense. Yeah, real respectful. Most of the jokes in here were before Liz was the alleged deceased.
Guest jester Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 So does this mean Lex isnt going to WWE? Well considering that they signed Nailz, I wouldnt say its totally out of the question. And Snuka.
Guest notJames Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 I don't recall ever hearing that. BTW, how did the title of the thread change?
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 do they know what the hell happened? Also, for the record, I was going to laugh at the "bloody Lex flexer" joke, but now I'm not. Because the're might actually be one now.
Guest dreamer420 Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 That is horrible news. I am deeply saddened by this news and I grew up watch and being a huge fan of both Randy Savage and Elizabeth. I really hope that Lex had nothing to do with this.
Guest papacita Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 I just read where Joanie Laurer's website was closed. Hmmmmmmm. Coincidence? Um...no disrespect to Liz, but... DAMN!!!!!!!
Guest snowfan Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 Well......Meltzer has confirmed it Yeah he has and he also says that Luger is being held on charges unrelated to Liz's demise.... more to come I am certain.
Guest AM The Kid Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 I've actually just shed a tear over this. I can't believe Miss.Elizabeth is dead...such a shame. She was so great back in the 80's, one of my favorites. Damn... Rest In Peace
Guest Crux Posted May 1, 2003 Report Posted May 1, 2003 Yeah he has and he also says that Luger is being held on charges unrelated to Liz's demise.... The Atlanta news said Luger was arrested 2 weeks ago for beating up Liz and giving her a black eye. He's also being held for violating a controlled substance act. RIP "Miss Elizabeth"
