Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted May 1, 2003 # WWE officials have reportedly been in contact with Brian Lawler (aka Brian Christopher, Grandmaster Sexay) about returning to the company to reform Too Cool with Scotty Too Hotty. Lawler claimed in a recent radio interview that he took a pay cut to stay with NWA-TNA with the promise that he'd receive a contract when business got better. Lawler has, however, yet to see the contract and is more interested than ever to return to WWE. # Word backstage is that WWE officialy are very disappointed with Nathan Jones thus far. When Jones was signed several months ago, he was mainly brought in because of his height and charisma. Now that he's been given somewhat of a significant role on television, his many limitations in the ring have been exposed, causing his push to be lessened. Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted May 1, 2003 Haven't seen him on the last couple shows. Is he on Velocity or off tv completely? if they had any kind of brains they sent him back to OVW boot camp. and make him learn how to Wrassle.
Guest Olympic Slam Report post Posted May 1, 2003 Haven't seen him on the last couple shows. Is he on Velocity or off tv completely? They booked an angle where the FBI "shattered" his ankle, thus making him inactive.
Guest saturnmark4life Report post Posted May 1, 2003 Clever eh? I'm not gonna blame Jones for sucking, cos he's, y'know, not a wrestler or anything. You'd Vince would learn not to just sign big people for being big anymore.

I honeslty think I could go out there, having NO wrestling training, and do a better job than Jones.

Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted May 1, 2003 I liked Too Cool, plus it's one more tag team to give one of the divisions a boost. Probably SD since they fit in with the smaller wrestlers there and Rikishi is SD exclusive. Plus I'd rather Rikishi be in a 6-man than in 1-on-1 matches. Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted May 1, 2003 You'd think they'd watch a video or two before signing a guy. Jones is an awful wrestler. And why do they keep trying to make the rosters bigger? They have way too many guys under contract as it is.

Guest Kid Kablam Report post Posted May 2, 2003 Clever eh? I'm not gonna blame Jones for sucking, cos he's, y'know, not a wrestler or anything. You'd Vince would learn not to just sign big people for being big anymore. Fuck Nathan Jones. He's shown no interest in getting better. I mean, even Team Angle is green, but they have the good sense to get better, Nathan Jones is just like a taller Goldberg: Doesn't care about the business, just wants his paycheck. Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted May 2, 2003 When they hired Giant Gonzalas it made a little sense, was someone bigger then Taker that he could feud with. And let's face it, a shitty worker could get over easier then than they can now.
LooseCannon25 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2003 Nathan Jones just looks as if he doesnt give a rat's ass about improving or his ring work at all. He seems lazy and has no love for the business except for the money. I'd say put him in a bodyguard type role (like Diesel), and have him wrestle once in a blue moon. Otherwise he's useless
Guest buffybeast Report post Posted May 2, 2003 Why is this company so obsessed with taking gimmicks/ideas from the past? Next thing you know the Godfather will be trying to pimp hos to Mr. America.
LooseCannon25 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2003 Yeah, next thing you know Rikishi will be repackaged as the Sultan with Sgt. Slaughter as his manager to form the Iraq Express.
Guest tank_abbott Report post Posted May 2, 2003 Nathan Jones continues to upset many backstage in WWE. Jones apparently had an incident with Bill DeMott at a Smackdown brand house show last week where he failed to say "gesundheit" after Bill had sneezed. No one understands what exactly motivated Jones to display such reckless disregard for common locker room courtesy, as saying "gesundheit" is a well-known old-school wrestling tradition. Many now suspect Jones' days with the company to be numbered, as there is no telling what this rebellious troublemaker will do next.

Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted May 2, 2003 The sooner that Jones is given a kangaroo sized boot out the door, the better. I don't care how stupid an excuse is made. Speaking of bald, minimally skilled, egotistical pricks... Maybe Goldberg will get himself in deeper crap. I can picture it now: Taker comes off of surgery and is backstage at Raw to see how his bud HHH is manipulating the booking and take some pointers from him and Nash. When he has his lunch he opts not to eat his second ham sandwich, and offers it to Goldberg. Goldberg refuses, very much upsetting Taker, who then puts in a bad word for Goldberg and tells Vince that Goldberg should be made to look like as much of an ass as possible on air. Bored 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2003 They should bring back Brian Lawler, claiming to be JR's son. This would lead to HILARITY~ with Ross and Lawler feuding and eventually the climatic "Jerk Off Match" where Ross and Lawler spread their DNA in a little cup to find out who's son he really is. Or maybe not.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted May 2, 2003 Almost suprised he didn't suffer the O'Haire/Staziak OVW deal for dissing Droz backstage. Not that he has, but that should be next on his list of things to screw up.
