Two women -- a Girl Scout registrar and an elementary school worker -- were arrested on charges of throwing alcohol parties for juveniles and having sex with two 13-year-old boys, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said.

 

Childhood chums Amy Duane, 37, a data processor at Discovery Key Elementary, and Debra Favre, 38, a registrar with the Palm Glades Girl Scouts Council, had sex with the boys at Duane's house at 8897 Pinion Drive, west of Greenacres, about a month ago, said sheriff's spokesman Paul Miller.

 

Duane was arrested Tuesday and released from the Palm Beach County Jail Wednesday on a $15,000 bond. She is not allowed to have contact with the victim.

 

Favre, of 4689 Lucerne Lakes, Apartment 201, was booked into jail late Thursday night on charges of unlawful sexual activity with a minor and two counts of supplying alcohol to a minor.

 

Duane admitted to having sex with a 13-year-old, according to a report by sheriff's detective Phyllis Kearney. She also admitted giving alcohol to 12- to 14-year-olds, the report states. At least a dozen juveniles said they attended parties at Duane's home and the women also served rum and Coke.

 

Miller said it doesn't appear the women met the juveniles through their work.

 

The parties occurred while Duane's husband was away, Miller said. Favre is not married.

 

Duane has not been at the school since her arrest Tuesday, said Discovery Key Principal Stephen Sills.

I read that article and honestly, all I could think was that the newspaper is possibly going to be in some BIG trouble for printing their addresses.

its legal to print addresses, names, ages, places of work that suspects work at when they are arrested. Its public knowledge via the phone book for the first 2. Age is giving on about everything you buy. And places of work is giving when it is state, school, federal, or youth organizations when it comes to drug and sex crimes. Besides, as much uproar as R Kelly gets these two should get it to. Not for the alcohol giving out, but for the fucking of the kids. That is sick shit. Atleast wait until their balls drop for christ sakes.

Ah, gotcha. Thanks. It's been a while since I did the whole journalism thing, and we didn't exactly have to deal with issues like this one. And come to think of it, if they're convicted, it'll be as sex offenders, so they're addresses will be registered anyway in the paper.

I just find it funny only recently have the authorities started going after pedo women as well as men.
