Guest wwF1587 Report post Posted May 3, 2003 Benoit puts on a MOTY candidate and gets a standing ovation from the crowd, and his reward is to be placed in tag team feuds low on the card. thats what pisses me off most about the big show getting another shot... why?... his match at the Survivor Series sucked... his match at the Rumble SUCKED... and on that same event beniot puts on an amazing match and hes jobbing to the FBI.... LooseCannon25 0 Report post Posted May 3, 2003 He doesn't get fatter every week. He's stayed pretty much the same - big - for quite a while. There's really not a whole hell of alot he can do. He'll never been a super technical guy - he's not mobile enough. Power is what he's got and they don't book him right with it. Of course, there's not anyone he can really get into a good power wrestling feud with either. Not in his range anyway. Alot of his size is due to how he grows. He's not built like most of us, so holding that against him is retarded. This is the same man that at one time was working on a moonsault and such. /rant And don't get me wrong. I'd much rather see Brock vs Benoit or even a Brock/Cena II. But some of the Show hate is getting ludicrous. What you're saying is complete bullshit. You want proof? Why don't you go take a look at the guy when he entered WCW and was feuding with Hogan. The guy had muscle definition, was slim, could do a moonsault, and would do kip-ups......Now that's impressive! Don't get me wrong, i dont hate the guy, but it seems like he just doesnt care anymore and it pisses me off knowing that this guy is agile and very mobile if he would just get into better shape. I don't HATE the Big Show, but I also don't think he deserves championship title matches at PPV's where there are guys that earned and deserve it much more with their hard work. If Brock is the big investment in the future, why is he back in main events with a guy whos already injured him and been beaten cleanly by him multiple times? Meanwhile Big Show gets fatter every week, more unmotivated, has very mobility now, but he gets a WWE title shot on ppv AGAIN. Why do you want Benoit to get another shot for a title he has no chance of winning at this point, on a PPV that will suck regardless of how good Brock/Benoit can be? Be patient and wait for July or August. Show's been Brock's big fat bitch since Survivor Series and it won't change, so it's not like the outcome is in any doubt. It's cards like these that make me wonder why I still bother ordering PPV's. I wonder too. WWE should earn your $30 instead of expecting you to fork it over because of blind faith. But the scary thing...is Nash actually going to win the title? Cause we know won't job the belt to anyone but a Clique buddy. Guest SP-1 Report post Posted May 4, 2003 He was also in a company that, for it's faults, didn't confine to him to some convoluted 'Style' of wrestling. He's always hovered around the size he is now. It's a growth defect, certainly not something he can get much control over. He comes to WWE, is fit into the company's idea of what wrestling should be, gets his flying legs cut out from under him and as a character is turned into a stupid lumbering giant as opposed to a menacing lumbering giant. He's also been forced to go down to OVW to "lose weight", which he did, as much as can be expected in his situation. I'd imagine his morale is shot to hell, and he's mired in matches with Rey Mysterio that don't let him do what he's able to do. And he won't get to with Brock either because Brock is the golden child, and slightly smaller. And like I said, I'd rather see the guy elsewhere and see somebody like Benoit facing off with Brock for the title. If they'd let Show do what he's really capable of, and gave people a reason to take him seriously, things would be totally different. It's more creative's fault, and more Vince's fault. This company is growing infamous for neutering people of whatever talent they possess in the never ending pursuit of being lord and master of the wrestling world.
