Guest Choken One Report post Posted May 2, 2003 Today, It was made offical that John Stockon, Of the Utah Jazz would retire. Karl Malone has played his entire career with Stockton and they are forever linked togeter. Karl Malone, Is done with the Utah Jazz in all liklyhood. He is expected to play for 3 more seasons... One to win the NBA title that still eludes him and to accomplish the all time scoring title... The question is... Where does Karl Malone go? Los Angles Lakers and New Orleans Hornets are the two favorites right now... Where do you see The Mail changing his route to?
Guest The Electrifyer Report post Posted May 3, 2003 How is Malone supposed to get points and become the all-time leading scorer while playing in LA? And although it might get him an NBA Title there, its kind of a cheap route to take for a Championship because that team is already a championship team with or without him. Guest Choken One Report post Posted May 3, 2003 True...But TONS o reports say that Malone is willing to do that... I would BET he goes to N.O... It would be an Hometown return and shit...and they need that missing puzzle...
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted May 3, 2003 I doubt he goes to LA, unless winning a Championship is the most important task for him. I'd say he'll go to a team that he feels he can really contribute something to.
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted May 3, 2003 He only needs 2,014 to pass Jabbar. He could be a good third scoring option for the Lakers. 15 ppg isn't really asking much.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted May 3, 2003 Actully...I am convinced he'll go to New Orleans because He can feel like HE won the title...He gets to return home...and won't be overshadowed by Shaq and Kobe... I don't think he'll mind that much...Think Clyde Drexler regrets going to Houston instead of sticking it out in Portland?
Guest ISportsFan Report post Posted May 3, 2003 I doubt he goes to LA, unless winning a Championship is the most important task for him. Any team sport athlete worth his weight in straw, let alone precious metals, cares more about this than any other thing in the sport. Jason
Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted May 3, 2003 Especially when you're Karl Malone and you've come so close TWICE IN A ROW. I'm thinking LA. If that gets the man a ring, I'll be glad.
Guest Lethargic Report post Posted May 3, 2003 All I keep reading and hearing is either Lakers or Spurs. I have no idea where this NO stuff is coming from and I would be shocked if it happened. The Hornets already have a logjam at forward. Why would they add a deteriorating Malone into the mix? Does Malone make the Hornets a good enough team to win a title? Not in anybody's wildest imaginations.
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted May 3, 2003 At this point Malone isn't that type of player. He's still a good player. Put him on the Lakers and you'd have a great third option, the Spurs a 2nd or 3rd depending on who else signs and the how much Parker improves has a player. Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted May 3, 2003 You know, if Boston hadn't made that ludricous Vin Baker trade, I could see him signing with the Celts, and maybe throw him in at Power Forward, with Walker at Small Forward. The Lakers don't really need Malone, and I don't know if Karl would sign for the veteran's minimum deal. I could really see him going to NO, as he could provide a stable draw for home games, and he could obviously add something.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted May 3, 2003 Well when your biggest "star player" after O'neal and Bryant is Rick Fox you could use Malone.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Report post Posted May 3, 2003 If the Lakers don't win this year, I'm sure Karl will move to LA...

Guest kkktookmybabyaway Report post Posted May 4, 2003 Here's a thought: Could you imagine getting into a fight w/ the Lakers and fending off Shaq AND Karl?...
Guest Choken One Report post Posted May 4, 2003 Yikes...Would anyone be able drive through those two? Jesus... Shaq/Malone Duncan/Malone either way...The Inside is gonna be a empty zone for a while...
HurriShane 0 Report post Posted May 4, 2003 He'll get a one year deal with the Lakers next season and win his title with them. Then, he'll go break the all time scoring record somewhere else, New Orleans probably.
