Bored Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 From Bob Barnett's latest column at bobbarnett.com: "The increasingly insane Vince McMahon has apparently decided to let go Molly Holly. The last thing this company needs is a woman who was actually over because she wasn't a non-wrestling bimb-right Vince? Almost everyone leaving the company now is privately ripping Vince, Big Steph, and Cripple HGH, despite the public proclamations of "Thanks for everything!"" No site is reporting this but I've seen this on a couple of other message boards. So just wait and see before the bitching begins.
Guest Anglesault Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 ::Looks at Raw roster:: That's who I would have fired.
Guest AndrewTS Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 .... This better be a rumor and nothing more.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 I doubt it's true, but I wonder if she'll now need someone to hold her during those cold, lonely Monday nights? The line starts behind me...
Guest CanadianChick Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 I heard she hasn't been on TV because she was helping to train Jackie Gayda.... I hope this isn't true because Molly is one of the more talented (if not the most talented) women's wrestlers.
Guest geniusMoment Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 Hopefully in her time off she will use a stairmaster to work on those cottage cheese thighs and that fat ass.

If she pulls it off she deserves a raise, and a push to the World Title.
Kurt Angle Mark Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 Molly was at Backlash, so if she was released it must have been this week. However the WWE did fire 12 office employees this week so perhaps they also released a few wrestlers as well.
Guest Blue Bacchus Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 Does anyone know what those 12 did at WWE? Like production, Web Design, or Marketing?
Guest Mr. Slim Citrus Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 I doubt it's true, but I wonder if she'll now need someone to hold her during those cold, lonely Monday nights? The line starts behind me... :: cuts in line ::
Bored Posted May 3, 2003 Author Report Posted May 3, 2003 Whoops I see someone alread did a topic on this earlier in the day but its already been buried down the list. Dug up the Heat spoilers and Molly did wrestle but I do seem to remember last year both Shawn Stasiak and Mr. Perfect had Heat matches the week they were released, so take that for what its worth.
Kurt Angle Mark Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 Does anyone know what those 12 did at WWE? Like production, Web Design, or Marketing? WWE cutbacks beginning by Dave Meltzer [email protected] The WWE has acknowledged cutting ten front office employees in recent days, which are only the first round of cuts, as the company's fiscal year ended on Wednesday. The belief is that a series of cuts, which would affect many departments, will be finalized before the next shareholders conference at the end of the month. The cuts were concentrated in the company's finance and facilities departments, which are being reorganized. The company will be doing a business review of every department over the next few weeks. Cuts had been expected because of company losses both having to do with closing the Times Square restaurant, as well as what is expected to be a significant (in excess of $5 million) budget shortfall when it comes to revenue from Wrestlemania. House show business also finished far below projections for the year.
Guest El Satanico Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 At least they know where to spend money...like bringing in the Road Warriors...and Sable...
Guest Anglesault Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 I just don't get it. Why would they fire someone like Molly when they have total deadwood like Rodney Mack just begging to be fired?
Guest AndrewTS Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 I just don't get it. Why would they fire someone like Molly when they have total deadwood like Rodney Mack just begging to be fired? Mack is at least in an angle. Fire Test--surprised you didn't bring that up, AS.
Guest edge-o-matic Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 If this is true, fuck.. She's one of three women's wrestlers with actual talent. It would be a shame to see her go, but she wasn't being used anyway. I won't believe it until Meltzer reports it.

Mack is at least in an angle. Fire Test--surprised you didn't bring that up, AS. Test is in a relationship with Shane. I'm thinking realistically. Mack is almost as bad as Test, and at least Test has one or two cool moves. Mack can't even say that
Guest Mr. Slim Citrus Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 Rodney Mack serves a purpose; he gives Teddy Long a reason to have mic time... playa...
Guest Anglesault Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 Rodney Mack serves a purpose; he gives Teddy Long a reason to have mic time... playa... Jazz
Guest Trivia247 Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 Molly goes then Im afraid I can't follow vince's vision in the Sports entertainment field.
Guest AndrewTS Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 Rodney Mack serves a purpose; he gives Teddy Long a reason to have mic time... playa... Have Long manage someone who doesn't manage to suck so horribly. Or stick him with Goldberg. Test is in a relationship with Shane. I'm thinking realistically. I thought Shane had no say in WWE matters?
Guest AndrewTS Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 Molly goes then Im afraid I can't follow vince's vision in the Sports entertainment field. You need powerful hallucinogens to follow Vince's vision.
Mecha Mummy Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 Fuck you, McMahon. Molly, hon? Go to TNA. I'd LOVE to see Molly vs. Alexis and Molly vs. Trinity.
Guest Reservoir_Kitty Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 Sometimes the WWE is really disgusting. I sincerely hope that this is just a nasty rumor. I mean, heaven forbid you're not a carbon copy blonde with enormous tits. Fucking Vince. *angst*
Guest JDMattitudeV1 Posted May 4, 2003 Report Posted May 4, 2003 If this is true (lets hope to god it's not) then fuck you Vince. Lets fire one of the most attractive women on the roster who is also the womens divisions best wrestler. Oh, I forgot according to the WWE Molly is "fat" and Terri and Sable are"hot".
Guest edotherocket Posted May 4, 2003 Report Posted May 4, 2003 I don't think it is to do with her looks. I'll repeat what I said in the old Molly Got Fired post: Face it, WWE have only a small alloted slot for womens wrestling on their show. There can only really be one story at a time therefore, someone has to make room. If a great new wrestler came on the show (Gail Kim?) then you can be sure that Jazz or Victoria will have to make room and disappear for a while. They're not going to have two concurrent womens wrestling angles running at once on the same brand. And since Molly is sitting at the bottom of the pile, they may as well let her go since she wouldn't be doing anything useful anyway. This rule kinda applies with the cruisers as well. It is rare that you will have Rey, Tajiri, Noble and friends all busy at the same time. It's virtually always one cruiser match per PPV (if that) and the other cruisers twiddling their thumbs for months at a time. I don't think this situation has EVER changed in WWE. The only time you will have two womens wrestling matches on one show is if one of them is of the bra and panties variety.
Guest buffybeast Posted May 4, 2003 Report Posted May 4, 2003 I've read that Molly has generated "heat" amongst some people on the writing team. She apparently shot down several storylines in the past that she felt compromised her morals and ethics. You know Vince doesn't like people who disagree with him.

She apparently shot down several storylines in the past that she felt compromised her morals and ethics. You know Vince doesn't like people who disagree with him. Nope, can't have that. It's such BS that some one who talented, rarely ever injured, able to draw good heat and be part of a decent angle gets cut loose since creative "had nothing to do with them." See also: Jerry Lynn, and most of the NWA-TNA roster. At the same time, crippled or just plain old talentless piles of shit get hired (Steiner, Sable, O.L.D., Nash, etc.).
Guest SP-1 Posted May 4, 2003 Report Posted May 4, 2003 TNA has officially overtaken WWE in my brain in terms of importance and brains. Fuck Vince.
