Guest SP-1 Posted May 4, 2003 Report Posted May 4, 2003 If you were in charge of doing a serious, dark, live action Batman Beyond movie, who would you want in there? You've got alot of potential here. Terry/Batman, old Bruce, old Barbara, maybe even old Dick Grayson. Who would your villain be? I'll think of it and come back after I've seen some other ideas.
Guest El Satanico Posted May 4, 2003 Report Posted May 4, 2003 I'd make the villian the same as the cartoon...The evil corporation. If it was made I'm sure they'd try to get Keanu to play Terry. Looks wise Keanu wouldn't be a bad choice, but it would still be a terrible casting.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted May 4, 2003 Report Posted May 4, 2003 Yes, because 30-something's are always casted as high school kids. Note the complete lack of sarcasm. Hmmm...I'd have to say... Skeet Ulrich as Terry/Batman (shave the facial hair and give 'em a haircut) Michael Biehn (with age-enhancing make-up, naturally) as old man Bruce (I just think Biehn's voice for Bruce would be mintage) Mark Hamill as old man Dick (Hamill's such an awesome actor, honestly) Sigourney Weaver as old Barbara Make the corporation the main villain, with The Jokerz as the bastards that are always pissing Terry off.
Guest Vern Gagne Posted May 4, 2003 Report Posted May 4, 2003 I agree that Mark Hamill's voice work is very good. But, Hamill himself is a horrible actor. It would be great if they just needed a voice, Hamill would be perfect.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted May 4, 2003 Report Posted May 4, 2003 I dunno...have you seen Midnite Run? I think Hamill did a wonderful job as a psychotic hitchhiker...
Guest razazteca Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Ashton Kutcher as Terry Michael Keaton as old Bruce Carrie Anne Moss as Barbara Gordon Brian Doyle Murphy as a villian
Guest EdwardKnoxII Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 I say they should have Eric from Boy Meets World, the voice of Terry on the cartoon, play Terry in the movie. All he have to do is cut his hair and shave the facial hair and there's your Terry. And as for Old Man Bruce have one of the movie Batman's play him, Michael Keaton. Now question would the movie be more or less a remake of the origin in Batman Beyond or would the movie pick up were the cartoon left off?
Guest mach7 Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Jake Gyllenhaal (Donnie Darko) as Terry/Batman. Michael Keaton as "Old" Bruce Wayne Barbara Grayson, I could really care less about. As for the villian, I'd use the "Return of the Joker" storyline, and tweak it here an' there so that it can run longer and pass as a full length feature. Can't think of who I'd casy. Perhaps Nicholson (if he could lose weight) could reprise his role. If not, then Christian Slater, since he's the closest thing one can get to Jack Nicholson in several ways.
Guest El Satanico Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Jake Gyllenhaal (Donnie Darko) as Terry/Batman. That's exactly who I was going to say yesterday, but didn't feel like looking his name up to see how to spell it.
Guest Ravenbomb Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 I totally agree with Jake Gyllenhaal as Terry/Batman Brian Cox as Old Bruce Rachael Leigh Cook as the girlfriend Willem DaFoe as Derek Powers (Evil Corporation Leader)
Yuna_Firerose Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Batman Beyond.... cool cartoon, but it'd be *this* much better if it wasn't afraid to be a bit more mature. Edward Norton as Terry Michael Keaton as old Bruce I don't know too many actresses, so I won't vote on the other two. EDIT: By the way, Ravenbomb, your sig pic isn't showing up for me.
Guest Vyce Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 You know those bastards would up and cast Freddie Prinze Jr. on us.
Guest Ravenbomb Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 (edited) My sig pic isn't showing up for anybody, my bandwidth has been exceeded, so unless I replace it for the time being, it won't be showing up for about a month EDIT: There, I changed my sig, is it showing up?
