Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 ...The bill also bars pro wrestlers from hitting with clenched fists, gouging eyes, pulling hair or whiskers, deliberate elbowing, twisting or pulling ears and flying through the air and landing on opponents. Full Article.. Hmm..so when somebody hits with a closed fist, its really illegal and they get arrested..hmm..go there and forget to tell HHH about that...and for the most part you wouldn't have to worry about any of the RAW wrestlers flying through the air, but I guess RVD won't be making the trip..and when was the last time you saw anyone pull someones ear?
Guest JHawk Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 So WWE can do shows in Oregon, but they absolutely have to suck? EDIT: Most of that is supposed to be illegal anyway, so it's not that big a deal.
Guest Galactic Gigolo Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 You forgot to add "in general" to your sentence.
Guest Lightning Flik Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 DAMN OREGON~! Seriously, it's the only thing stopping the upperwest coast USA and west Canada from getting the WWE a little more often.
Guest Mattdotcom Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Oregon Main Event HHH vs Nash vs HBK "Punchy/High-Flying Match"
Guest RenegadeX28 Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 How come wrestling in Oregon so limited? Did I miss something?
LaParkaYourCar Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Geez they need to realize it's a show. You can't handicap their show like that. Why would any of those be illegal?
Guest Galactic Gigolo Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 How come wrestling in Oregon so limited? Did I miss something? For years they've required drug tests that had to be paid for by the promoter. In addition, there were similar, and probably much more tigher on the matches once everyone passed. The WWE said that it was too expensive to get the tests done. Riiiiight.
Guest Eagan469 Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Wasn't Billy Jack Haynes the one that had the WWF LJN figure with "Oregon" on the back of his tights?
Guest Olympic Slam Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 This is typical of the "People's Republic of Oregon." People aren't even allowed to pump their own gas in that state!
Guest Banky Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Whatever happened to Billy Jack Haynes? He ruled.
Guest Galactic Gigolo Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 People aren't even allowed to pump their own gas in that state! It's the same here in New Jersey. I thought we were the only state with that inane law. And the funniest part is that despite having to shell out an extra $20 an hour or so for when they have three attendants on duty, our gas is still "only like $1.75 or so, as compared to whatever the hell other states have shot up to. When my sister and I went to Delaware for cheap cigarettes ($25 a carton as compared to about $50 here), we stopped at a gas tration and literally sat in the parking lot for ten minutes waiting for someone to come out when someone pulled up in their car, pumped their gas, and drove away.
Guest AllCanadian Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 The entire Athletic Commision got a overhaul becuase of the Portland wrestling fiasco. All those rules are now obsolete which is why WWE is finally running a show there.

Er--here in Uniontown, PA, it's about $1.37 a gallon.
Guest JHawk Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 Why would any of those be illegal? Closed fists are technically illegal, but I've never seen it enforced. Same with hair pulling and eye gouging.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 Lafayette, Indiana $1.38 Of course, we're allowed to pump our own gas.
Guest Galactic Gigolo Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 Doh. It might actually be down to $1.50 levels now. I don't drive, so
Guest El Luchadore Magnifico Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 $1.22 in Columbus. Best prices in a while, but no self-service.
Guest RenegadeX28 Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 I hate that damn law....why can't we pump our own gas!! By the way, I also live in NJ.
Guest Olympic Slam Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 The cheapest I've seen in my area (near Oakland) lately has been about $1.83. California is uber expensive
Guest Lil Naitch Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 Hell, I remember last year when Gas was up to about $2.30 in Chicago
Guest Showstoppa Icon Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 $1.55 here on Long Island. same here in Poughkeepsie
Guest Blue Bacchus Posted May 7, 2003 Report Posted May 7, 2003 $1.41 in Franklin Tn (South of Nashville)
Guest PencilJobber Posted May 7, 2003 Report Posted May 7, 2003 1 litre of Petrol is about 80 pence here or roughly 1 dollar 20 cents.Petrol must be piss cheap over there compared to the UK.
Guest crandamaniac Posted May 7, 2003 Report Posted May 7, 2003 So I guess The Rock won't be making any trips to Oregon. And gas here is $1.60, was up to around $1.75 tho
