Since no one got it, the first walk off home run in World Series history was hit by none other than Dusty Rhodes, in game 1 of the '54 series. No kidding, there was a baseball player for the Giants by that name. I think it gets overlooked because another WS moment occured the same game. Willie Mays caught a fly ball or something like that.

Rhodes put on probably the best pinch-hitting performance of all time in the '54 series. For the trivia part of the question, Rhodes pinch-hit three times for the same player. Name that player.
