Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 After posting a 3.9 cable rating last week, this week's edition of Raw dropped to a 3.5, with a 5.2 share, according to Nielsen Media Research. That is a pretty sizable one week swing, but last week's show was coming off off a PPV and the last appearance of the Rock for a while. The show did hours of 3.3 and 3.7. -1wrestling
Guest AndrewTS Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 Within normal range...nothing earth shattering. Ho-hum.
Guest ViciousFish Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 The ratings went up after that bullshit Nash/HHH thing?? I barely even glanced at the tv for the last hour.......
Guest razazteca Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 It was the Lakers vs Spurs game that made the difference. The boycott had little to do with it, if anything.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 if it drops another .4 next week I will be pleased. Watching Jericho job to Nash is not what I call fun.
Guest Polish_Rifle Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 The absence of the White Boy Challenge caused the ratings to go down!
Guest converge241 Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 is the june 9th boycott still on out of curiosity
Guest Goodear Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 Note to WWE: a first hour devoted to your announcers DOESN'T DRAW
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 last week's show was coming off off a PPV and the last appearance of the Rock for a while. The show did hours of 3.3 and 3.7. -1wrestling Rock wasn't on the show last week.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 btw, that's what WWE gets for making Jericho wrestle on Heat!
Guest dreamer420 Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 I thought the first hour of Raw was one of the better in recent memory. The crowd was absolutely jakked and it made the show great.
Guest Mole Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 I didn't watch it, so that is why it went down.
Guest bob_barron Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 I thought the first hour of Raw was one of the better in recent memory. The crowd was absolutely jakked and it made the show great. The first 30 minutes were pretty good but the show went downhill from there. When are they going to learn that fans want actual wrestling and not half assed 15 minute brawls?
Guest Austin3164life Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 I didn't catch Raw, but I'm hearing it was boring, and it actually had an Austin/Goldberg confrontation that ended in a typical face beer fest. I wish Steve would've Stunned Goldy into oblivion.
Agent_Bond34 Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 I didn't watch it, so that is why it went down. By that logic, I didn't watch it either, so that's why it went down.

I wish Steve would've Stunned Goldy into oblivion. As much as I dislike Goldberg you know they can't do that. It was kind of cool seeing Austin and Goldberg sharing a beer- I got some goosebumps
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 IT sure was great to see the show end with one guy who can't wrestle and one guy who never could. You can almost feel the ship righting itself.
Guest Austin3164life Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 As much as I dislike Goldberg you know they can't do that. It was kind of cool seeing Austin and Goldberg sharing a beer- I got some goosebumps It makes for a cool face moment, but how great would it have been had Austin told Goldberg that "I call the shots" and have Goldberg really sweat for a chance at Christian.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 I thought Austin "swimming" in that puddle of beer in the ring was funny. Last night Austin looked like he was having fun for the first time since his return. Pounding 34 beers doesn't hurt either. He must have been let off Probation early?
Guest bob_barron Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 Not really- considering that Austin and Goldberg will never be able to fight it would be completely worthless. Goldberg can't afford to be bossed around by a cripple
Guest Austin3164life Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 He must have been let off Probation early? He drinks non-alcoholic beer.
Guest goodhelmet Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 sorry but the nba playoffs have not affected raw for the past 6 years. why are they given as a reason all of a sudden? the simple fact is that the wwe has failed in all aspects in giving the public any reason to watch their mediocre and quite boring/frustrating form of entertainment.
Guest bob_barron Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 I think the ratings fell because the fans know Regal is most likely retired.
Guest goodhelmet Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 i thought that would have been the final straw for you to finally give up on the crap bob.
Guest nikowwf Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 Maybe the ratings fell due to the 6 hour Nash/HHH brawl that the crowd shitted all over. niko
Guest bob_barron Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 That too. I've gone a week without mentioning Regal at all and when I do- I get shit on? Life is a harsh cruel mitress on occasion- especially when people just can't take a simple joke.
Guest goodhelmet Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 how did you get shit on? i just said that regal not appearing on your screen (since you are the only public regal supporter) would be enough for you to stop watching raw along with the millions... and millions of other fed-up fans who have quit watching for one reason or another. malice towards none.
