From 1wrestling...

Ultimo Dragon told the Japanese media today that he would be debuting for World Wrestling Entertainment on 5/18 at the Judgment Day PPV event in Charlotte, North Carolina. Dragon worked the main event of his Toryumon promotion's event in Tokyo at Korakuen Hall, losing to CIMA. It was his last scheduled bout in Japan.

Dragon, considered one of the greatest aerial performers of the 1990s, is the inventor of the Asai Moonsault and held the J Crown in the late 90s. A botched surgery of his left arm forced him to retire. He began training performers and created the Toryumon and T2P promotions before finally returning to the ring several months back.

There has been no official announcement by WWE of Dragon's impending debut, but he officially signed several weeks back. He has long spoken of wrestling in Madison Square Garden as one of his remaining goals in wrestling.

...I was iffy untill this, but now I'll order it. Add this to the Tag Team Championship match, another Goldberg match, and perhaps a few other things that will be added, and it's good enough for me to pay $17.00 or so. I just can't wait for Ultimo to show up, I'm a HUGE fan of his.

Sincerely,

...Downhome...

Damn, I forgot to add that I'm also VERY MUCH looking forward to the IC Title Battle Royal! While I'm at it, I have my fingers crossed for an appearance by The Honky Tonk Man, heh.

People, people, get a hold of yourselves.

This is the wwe we're talking about.

It'll be Ultimo/A-Train

I wonder how many and who all will be in that Battle Royal. Around 20 or so, did he say last night?

I get every PPV but Ultimo Dragon possibly makes me interested.

I'll watch..not ORDER..to see Goldberg get booed AGAIN. And it's iffy if that's enough.

As for the IC royal

Jericho

Storm

Kane (?)

RVD(?)

Christian (?)

Test (?)

Goldust (?)

what a match.

I didn't want to think about this on my own, so I got this from 1wrestling. Here are the guys on RAW who COULD be in it...

1) Shawn Michaels

2) Goldust

3) Chief Morley (held title as Val Venis)

4) Chris Jericho

5) Kane

6) Lance Storm

7) Christian

8)Test

9) Rob Van Dam

10) Triple H (Already defending the World title at Judgment Day.)

11) Kevin Nash (Already challenging for the World title at Judgment Day.)

12) The Rock (Making a movie.)

13) Steve Austin (Not actively wrestling.)

14) William Regal (Out for medical reasons.)

15) Billy Gunn (It should also be noted that Billy Gunn, who will soon be returning from his shoulder injury, is a former Intercontinental Champion, and there has been talk that he will switch to the Raw roster when he returns.)

...so that leaves us with nine, MAYBE ten guys for this thing that are on RAW. Will they keep it to that few, or will we see some guys jump from SD, or will we see guys like The Honky Tonk Man and Pat Patterson come out just for the night?

If Test wins, there will be hell to pay

but thatll set up that dream feud between Test and Steiner for the IC title!

Jeff Hardy could always return by then too..

ABOLISH THE TITLE!

I just had a scary thought. They've been delaying Goldberg/Xian for about three million weeks now...will Christian show up with an "injury" next week, leading this to be FGB's PPV match?

assuming that they ment it is for only former ic champs it will be small. but perhaps austen meant that the former ic champs will automaticaly be in the match as well as some other wrestlers to be named later

This PPV could be a sleeper hit.

-Ultimo Dragon returns....

-IC Title Tourney

-Maybe just maybe the G-berg match will be good.

-HHH vs Nash..............AWESOME MATCH....................... ;)

You are going to pay 20-30 dollars for a run-in by Ultimo Dragon? The guy is good, but thats a complete waste of cash. This PPV looks to be the worst EVER. The Dragon will be in a tag team with Funaki by July. All cruiserweights start off with pushes, but they all subside. Minus Mysterio, though he hasn't really won anything in months.

Why is everyone excited about a battle royal?

I mean- It's a battle royal. Just a boring waste of 10 minutes

I don't want to tempt fate, but maybe Ultimo will be on RAW. He'll be Bischoff's new assistant! You se, WWE knew he ran a promotion in Japan so it makes sense, right?...

That'd be typical if that did happen...

I refuse to watch any PPV jointly headlined by Big Show and Kevin Nash.

Will Ultimo Dragon's debut mean that Matt Hardy will actually have a match at the PPV for him to do a run-in?

I haven't seen anything from Ultimo since his return from retirement. Can he still go in the ring like he used to?

Who even said Ultimo would be wrestling?

A good point, I hadn't considered that.

An idea: perhaps he will be stable leader for a new Kaientai with Funaki and Tajiri? Improbable I know, but I'd love to see that...as long as they are actually taken seriously. Maybe TAKA could come back too. Then we could have Tajiri going after Matt Hardy while a stable war rages on between Team Angle and Kaientai.

:::thinks about a match involving Ultimo/TAKA/Funaki vs. Angle/Benjamin/Haas:::

Yeah, it would rock.

Vince: Need more hoss.

And you mean that after the "returns" of Steiner, nWo, Austin (vs. Bisch is NOT a match to me) you hadn't figured that "debut" doesn't necessarily mean having a match?

Ultimo will be at the ppv. They'll show him in the background of a skit that has Stephanie and Mr America.

I assume he won't be wrestling on the PPV, I thought you were talking about a non-wrestling role. Like perhaps he will come in as a manager or something of that ilk, especially since no one is sure how healthy he is.
