Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted May 7, 2003 They are SO lucky they didn't make Jericho/Nash for the other night in Halifax, as we could've seen everything switch to 2000 Y2J vs. 1995 uberdick Diesel...if they would change the match halfway through.... BTW, if Chris works the knee, and that bastard sells it at least sporadically, Jericho can pull *1/2 (remember when RAW had **** main events every few months?) out of him in a seven minute match. All Nash has to do is stay on his back and act like he's hurting.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted May 7, 2003 Go pick a fight with a person a foot and a half taller with you and see how it goes. You'd better have a really big skill advantage. I'm still not sold on Jericho taking him out. niko You think Nash is 7'5"? Nash isn't even seven foot. He's about 6'9" TOPS. Most of that is his lower body: including his toothpick legs that, if knocked out from under him, would render his upper body strength worthless.
LooseCannon25 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2003 I hope nobody believes Jericho is 5'11"....h'es 5'9 without his lifts on tops.....that being said he has good dungeon shoot experience, and will take out Nash
Guest Showstoppa Icon Report post Posted May 7, 2003 I hope nobody believes Jericho is 5'11"....h'es 5'9 without his lifts on tops.....that being said he has good dungeon shoot experience, and will take out Nash but.........wwe.com lists him at 6'....they wouldnt lie to us. Seriously, what their problem admitting that someone isnt above 6' tall. beacause we all know 5'11 and 6'1 mean so much as far as how good someone is

Hogan has been billed as being everywhere from 6'8 to "near 7 feet" (Mr. America bio). Yet at Backlash last year he's SLIGHTLY taller than the supposedly 6'4" Triple Haitch. Guest nikowwf Report post Posted May 7, 2003 I wasn't doing a mathematical calculation peeps, i was just making a general point that its hard to fight a much larger person. Once they grab you, you have a big problem. Its not virtua fighter. you don't run around doing spin kicks and such. Think Pride. Yes, fantastic little man beats big sucky man, but not even all the time. Nogiuera had problems with Sapp, and he's a 100 times better technical fighter. niko

I'd buy that Taker could probably legit whoop Jericho in a shoot since he's larger AND dabbles in the shoot stuff, plus he's far healthier. Not Nash.
Guest Quik Report post Posted May 7, 2003 I bet Big Show could beat everyone up by sitting on them and then farting on them.

Nash's knee (and quad) problems would negate any advantages his height might provide. Also, I think Kurt Angle said in his book that size doesn't matter, with the right leverage it's possible to beat pretty much anyone. (Ofcourse, I realise not everyone's in the same league as Kurt Angle when it comes to shoot fighting).
LooseCannon25 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2003 Size does not matter............for instance look at a guy like Tazz......5'7", but the guy is an expert in judo, and the advantage of being small is the low center of gravity.....he'll destroy Nash. It's all about positioning and leverage
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted May 7, 2003 Didn't Kurt say Big Show was the only guy in the locker room he can't take down in a shoot?

LooseCannon25 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2003 I would imagine its hard to shoot on a 400-500 pounder.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted May 7, 2003 Big Show's weight probably has alot to do with that. Emmanuel Yarborough the big fat black sumo got his ass kick by a smaller man in UFC Kimo beat Paul Varleans is UFC Tazz beat Paul Varleans in ECW

Guest J*ingus Report post Posted May 7, 2003 Size can actually be a hinderance to a shoot competitor, when you're talking about a fight between two guys who really know what they're doing. Pretty much all of the really world-class fighters are under the 300 pound mark, most of them under 250. A bigger guy simply has less speed and cardiovascular conditioning than a smaller one, according to the biological laws of nature.

Exactly, and on top of that agai is the low center of gravity.......much more smooth and quick for a smaller guy than a bigger guy who has to shift his weight down for a shoot attempt. I would like to see the finish be drop kick to the knee then attempt a pin fall with the La Majistral Cradle but Big Lazy kicks out so Y2J would work the leg more with spinning toe hold and death locks then at around the 8 minute mark Big Lazy would submitt to the Half Crab Leg Bar. But in reality it would be HHH run in after commercial break with the Sledge hammer at around 3 minutes in.
