Storm shoots on Elizabeth's Death

Recommended Posts

Guest EternallyLazy
We should actually wait for concrete proof that she did die from a drug overdose.  Whenever someone drops dead, we shouldn't all think its a drug overdose ala Brian Pillman.

Fucking smarks, heartless in their self-proclaimed brilliance.

Pillman's death wasn't a drug overdose, but it was drug related, so either way... he died because of his drug habbit

Heart Disease.

Its easy to say it is from cocaine, but many die from that without cocaine. If one checks their negative attitude at the door, they could see that drugs aren't the cause of every wrestling death. Bill Albright, how did he die? Heart attack? Musta been drugs!

maybe I'm wrong, and I'm too lazy to go back and look it up (not to mention about to take a nap... I'm fucking tired), but I've read this from a number of sources that Pillman's death was related to his drug habbit... infact, I believe even Mick Foley states it in his book

If I'm wrong, I'll stand corrected

From the best of my knowledge, it was simply ruled heart disease. Drugs most likely did have a major part of it, but it wasn't the official cause of death like Curt Hennig.

But all that history aside, everyone should really be respectful and wait for the official ruling before dragging her good name in the mud. And people like Lance Storm should attempt to assist people addicted to drugs, instead of critisizing them. Criticism only makes users feel more worthless. Its sad when anyone dies, no matter how the wrestling professor Lance Storm says. Everyone is different, and some people have weaker personalities than Mr. Evers and can't help but fall into dark side of life. People can't chose their own addictive personalities.

Storm's right. i feel bad Liz, Hennig, Bulldog, etc have died, but they did bring it on themselves. my only issue regarding said deaths is, as i'm sure it is with many of you, that i grew up with these people, & there's a bond from seeing them all your life that it does hurt when they pass. but Storm is correct, & it did take balls to say that in an open forum with the way a lot of fans react.

& Storm CAN work, but my feeling is he needs more than 3 minute matches to get into his groove. the only thing i fault him for is his boring as fuck promos.

Last I checked Bulldog didn't die of an OD. It was a heart attack

I know he's never worked for WWE, but NWA Wildside announcer Dan Wilson wrote a hell of a column about the same matter at this site.

Storm is right. I am sorry for the deaths of these people. And I was a major Liz fan. But, it is a long term illness that they caused them self. You could call it a slow suicide. Rock stars fall under the same boat. I do not shed a tear for drug overdoses and killing of thy self.

What I heard on deaths of some famous people in wrestling:

Davey died from a heart attack. His heart muscle got too big for his frame and failed. Direct result of roids.

Henning died of an OD of coke. It skipped his heart and had a heart attack.

Pillman died of a heart attack, but the painkillers didn't help matters.

Liz most likely died of an OD.

Pillman died of a heart attack brought on by cocaine use. It was Gary Albright who died of a heart attack. And it seems pretty likely that Elizabeth did die of an OD. Burying your head in the sand over that possibility won't make it any less likely.

Brought on by...anyone? Nontheless, he's just as dead as Liz, Hennig, you name them. Saying drugs weren't a factor on his death is just ignorance, but in fairness, you didn't say they weren't. But realistically, drugs were a factor in ol' Davey Boy's demise. As it pretains to Pillman, I feel it's the dame thing. One thing led to another, which in turn led to some type of funeral arrangement.

Lance shoved his foot firmly in his mouth. The latest revelation is that Liz had mixed Vodka with pain killers for her back. Boy, what a doper.

You all outta been ashamed of yourselves for jumping to conclusions.

Yes, since on pain killers it doesn't say explicitly: "DO NOT TAKE WITH ALCOHOL"...

Jesus, its hardly anything to criticise her for. Have you ever had a beer after taking an advil? You all need to re-evaluate your damned lives if you are pissing on the death of another person. Get off your fucking thumbs, and show some fucking respect. This isn't quantam physics, this type of courtasy is something everyone should have learned at a young age. But no, loser internet know-it-alls rip their humanity out when they associate with one another. Anyone who criticises Liz for making this mistake, is a far worse individual than her. And I pity them for being so disgustingly obtuse.

I don't really see why I should give her respect or sympathy when she killed herself like a dumbass.

Criticizing someone for making a stupid mistake is off limits of they die? Not for me.

I think the big problem some people are having with this situation, is that it is forcing them to face the fact that Elizabeth was not this pure and wholesome person that they had built her up to be in their minds.

On doit des égards aux vivants; on ne doit aux morts que la vérité.

To the living we owe respect, but to the dead we owe only the truth.

You're all so bad ass. The ice that runs through your veins chiulls me to my core. If you're here, I'd hate to see who is running hell.

Ease up, Van Wilder. She killed herself. I highly doubt that Liz took a few advils with her vodka, more likely it was something heavy like Dianabol, Valium or Percacet. She was taking her own life into her hands when she did it.

You think she intentionally killed herself, or are you just stating the obvious? Regardless of how she died, wouldn't you say it is extremely calous to disrespect her life by how she died?

I don't think she intentionally killed herself but she wasn't too careful with her life, obviously.

Is it calous to disrespect her life? Not really. I wasn't saying anything overtly harsh, just the truth which sometimes is too harsh for certain people.

I suppose. I guess I've just been taught to respect those who have passed away, minus some very evil and notable exceptions.

Actually, they had the transcript for Lugers 911 call in the paper today. He said that they were eating dinner and she began to choke. He removed the food from her throat but she was still not breathing.

It is VERY possible that she choked to death. If that is the case, Lance Storm had better be ready for some serious...AND I MEAN SERIOUS backtracking and apologizing. She drank Vodka AFTER taking pain killers. I am pretty sure she didn't wash them down with it. She was drinking later after the pain killers. Jumping to conclusions only ends up making you look like a real REAL dumbass later.

Honestly, most people here assumed that she died of an OD...and it was the prevailing rumor. I don't think he was out of line to say what he did, but I'm sure he feels almost disrespectful now that the true cause of death has been revealed.

All we know is that Luger claimed she was choking during the 911 call. That doesn't rule out the possibility that he's lying.

Yeah, I know, kinda pessimistic. But it would be a bit negligent not to play Devil's Advocate for a second before the Lance Storm lynch mob starts lighting torches.

i personally don't care anymore. finding out how she died, drugs or not, doesn't change the fact she's dead. Storm is right, though, in that sympathy for those who end up killing themselves is a little incorrect. just because the feeling of shame, or whatever emotion you have about their method of death, is there doesn't mean you don't miss the deceased. realistic scrutiny & cold heartedness are 2 different things.

Fav. Liz moment: SummerSlam '88, no question. the main reason that show is tatooed to my brain, aside from the awesomeness that is Savage pre-'94

No.

Well when daddy allows you to have beer, take caution.
