Kurt Angle Mark 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2003 From the wrestling observer newsletter "Morale in both the Raw and Smackdown! locker rooms is said to be bad to the point where management is wanting guys like Kurt Angle and Eddie Guerrero to step up as "lockerroom leaders" by assuring the others that everything is fine with the company." credit: Rajahwwf.com Here is something for management to ponder. Perhaps if you have given Angle and Eddie the pushes they deserve, you wouldn't be asking them to lie for you.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted May 8, 2003 "Locker room leaders?" So in other words, they want Eddy and Kurt to never job clean again, piss and moan about a finish until they get their way, do more restholds and take on shitty stale gimmicks?
Guest Boomer Sprinklespax Report post Posted May 8, 2003 I thought Kurt already was a locker room leader, more or less.
Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Report post Posted May 8, 2003 Not knowing what they are like or anything, I am saying this without knowing much, but I would imagine Eddie would be a locker room elader that leads by example. I can see Angle being a tad more vocal.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted May 8, 2003 "Locker room leaders?" take on shitty stale gimmicks? Hey being Olympic Hero and Born in East LA gimmicks are stale & old.
Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted May 8, 2003 Can you hear them telling Angle and Eddie that? "Hey guys, we want you to be more like Hunter. A true locker room leader!"

That must mean that Kurt & Eddy are the only ones who can keep a straight face while dishing that line of bullshit.
Guest Banky Report post Posted May 8, 2003 But Eddie is a Latino...and all they do is lie, cheat, and steal.
Guest Lord of The Curry Report post Posted May 8, 2003 aka Management wants Eddy and Kurt to lie to the boys and tell them that everything is fine when it's quite the opposite.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted May 8, 2003 Perhaps if you have given Angle and Eddie the pushes they deserve So giving Kurt Angle every major title in his first year in the company, letting him main event the second biggest show of the year in only his 8th month on the job and letting him main event a Wrestlemania is not giving him the push he deserves?? Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted May 8, 2003 "Locker room leaders?" take on shitty stale gimmicks? Hey being Olympic Hero and Born in East LA gimmicks are stale & old. Yeah, because Kurt's had a real problem in his roles due to being boring and stale--I don't think so. He had a recent heel turn which was his first time as a serious heel contender. Eddy recently turned and became part of a face team that LIES, CHEATS, and STEALS!! Which are both fresher than most of the personas in WWE, like the uber-stale Dudley Boyz, the Undertaker biker persona which he's had for over 3 years and has not changed in the slightest bit, and the Rock prior to his heel turn. How are Eddy and Angle supposed to convince the SD guys everything is fine? Things aren't fine, things are getting extremely shitty.
Guest BobbyWhioux Report post Posted May 8, 2003 Maybe they want them to try and be the locker room leaders in the hope that after tiring of hearing this shit from HHH and Undertaker "the boys" will be all "oh HELL NAW!" when Kurt and Eddie try to feed it to them too, and the locker room public opinion will turn against them (and thus heat will be deflected from "the real problems" to a couple of convenient sucker scapegoats, who can then be justifyably depushed). ? Eh, I'm probably too paranoid.

No, the push Angle deserved was to taken seriously. That's all. Pretty simple, ain't it? Apparently the WWE didn't think so.
Guest The Tino Standard Report post Posted May 8, 2003 How about instead of trying to find people to say everything is fine, WWE actually works on MAKING THINGS FINE?
Guest Lord of The Curry Report post Posted May 8, 2003 Because the WWE hates their fans. Duh.

How the hell can yo say undertaker and the Dudley Boyz gimmicks havent changed.....have you forgotten....Undertaker cut his hair and Buh-Buh Ray Dudley doesnt wear pants anymore, he wears shorts now. That should be enough
Guest drunkenscarredangel Report post Posted May 8, 2003 Aren't locker room leaders the ones who make sure new talent get sent to OVW, if the locker room 'leaders' don't get their hands shaken? Or, was that just a special case with the Undertaker?
Guest Cerebus Report post Posted May 8, 2003 There is some good news...at least they are not delusional enough to make Hogan and HHH the "lockeroom leaders"

Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted May 8, 2003 Yeah, Eddie, too druggy Angle, of course, is completly insane, so he's a good choice. Kendrick "I don't think I should work this match tonight Vince, I can't turn my head to either side and I've been blacking out..." Angle "Get your lazy ass out there you pussy!" Guest Lord of The Curry Report post Posted May 8, 2003 Eddy drunk and high is still a better choice then 99% of the WWE roster.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted May 8, 2003 You guys got it all wrong. They don't want Eddie or Kurt to raise the spirits of guys like Benoit, Kendrick, Hardy, etc. The WWE wants them to raise the spirits of Albert, Demott, Big Show, Jones and Taker. Eddie: Ok guys, I know what you're all thinkin right now. You're all thinkin that your talents are going to waist beating up guys like Funaki and Tajiri and that the brass doesn't care about you. That's not the case guys, that's not the case at all. Kurt: Eddies right, Vince freakin loves you guys! He personally told us to tell you that from now on, you're only going to squash bigger names like Benoit, Eddie, and Me. Albert: Do you guys really mean that? Eddie: Of course we do. We wouldn't tell you if it wasn't true! Big Show: Aw shucks, here I was thinkin they didn't want me around anymore. Kurt: Hey there big fella, Chin up. You know they want you around, they just are in a low right now creatively. Show, lemme tell you this... When I get back, who do you think is going to be the first person I bump for? Brock? No. Benoit? HAHA No. It's going to be you... Big Show: WOW, all my hard work and dedication to being big is finally paying off! Eddie: Damn right. Hey, Albert, why so Glum? Albert: It's nothin Eddie, it's nothin... Eddie: Aaaalllbert.. Albert: It's just, Benoit doesn't bump hard enough for me. He's makin it really hard for me to get over. Kurt: Oh, I know what that's like. Don't worry, we've had a talk with one Mr. C. Benoit and we've set him straight. Every time he doesn't come through that curtain after a match throwing up blood, he's going to be fined $15 000. Albert: That's not enough man, I heard he has saved up. Kurt: Ok, then $30, 000. Albert: YAY! Nathan: Hey kurt, what about me? Kurt: You? Oh, um.. Eddie: Um... I've been talkin to Steph and she told me that, um, that... That you're going to meet me and Benoit and Rhyno and Chavo in a handicap match your first match back! Nathan: Aw, that sounds like a lot of work. 4 guys? I dunno if I can handle that. Eddie: Don't worry! All you have to do is punch and kick us and we'll go flying around the ring - it'll be a cake walk. Nathan: Thanks Eddie, thanks Kurt... You're works have all inspired us to be more lazy and careless in the ring when we have such hard workers like you dying to make our matches look good... Kurt: No problem Nathan.. Guest wildpegasus Report post Posted May 8, 2003 I was under the impression that Eddy was already a lockerroom leader. Perhaps the article just means that the WWE is just "telling" the leaders how to do their job.
Guest Plushy Al Logan Report post Posted May 8, 2003 Big Show: WOW, all my hard work and dedication to being big is finally paying off! I could see all of that happening, up until the point where Goldberg is sent to SD after killing the entire RAW roster like he is supposed to do.
