Guest Human Fly Report post Posted May 27, 2003 Well, Bob Boone is still an idiot so if the Reds win anything this year it won't be because of him. Casey goes 3 - 5, and Junior goes 4 - 4 on Saturday so what do you do? Sit them both. Your pitcher is struggling in the 8th inning on Monday and showing no signs of being able to get anyone out so what do you do? Leave him in to face the meat of the order and give away the lead. That game never should have gone into extra innings.
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted May 27, 2003 Adam Dunn from know on will be known has Dave Kingman, Jr. Hits alot of HR's, but has a horrible average and strikes out alot.
Guest alkeiper Report post Posted May 27, 2003 Perhaps. But Dunn keeps his On Base Percentage up by drawing ALOT of walks. Last year, he drew 128 walks. The Most Kingman ever drew was 62. Dunn may strike out, but his average will improve over time.
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted May 27, 2003 He only hit .249 last year. The Walk total is high. On pace for over 100. The OB % was like .320 not that great.
Guest alkeiper Report post Posted May 28, 2003 Actually Dunn's OBP last year was .400 on the button. Looking on baseball-reference.com, the most similar player to Adam Dunn through age 22 was....Darryl Strawberry.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted May 28, 2003 Any one getting a McGwire vibe with Dunn with the Permed Blonde Hair? Does that make Boone Jose Conseco with the slicked back long hair?
