ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2003 however the very first match that I remember watching that really got me hooked on WORKRATE... a match that kept me on the edge of my seat and still remains one of my favorite matches, was the great Sting/Luger vs. Steiner Bros. match from Superbrawl 91. I worship that match ...I find it funny how nowadays we lambast Scott Steiner for having poor workrate, but can talk about him having great workrate back in the day. Maybe it was Rick's doing? Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted May 12, 2003 The first wrestler I saw was Hulk Hogan (he was facing Harley Race in the infamous 'table' match) when I was 7 years old. My first impression was 'this guy sucks' and quickly turned it off. Whatever I was watching finished, and I decided to switch it back in time to see Savage/Dibiase in the main event (w/ Andre in Dibiase's corner). This was the match that got me hooked on wrestling. It was the March 1988 SNME. They were also discussing the upcoming Wrestlemania IV tournament, and since tournaments have always interested me I started watching the weekly programming. I did correctly pick Savage over Dibiase in the finals, but I was hoping Andre would kick Hogan's ass. First wrestler I met live was Hercules in 1989. Guest mach7 Report post Posted May 12, 2003 It was either Dick Slater or Rowdy Roddy Piper! This was back in the 80's and I have this wierd memory of him (whichever it was) hanging upside down from a tree... with his head under water?! I know it sounds wierd.. but he was cutting a promo on someone in the outdoors. I was like 4-5 years old so I can't really remember much more than that.
