Ric Flair for me too...My father turned past TBS once when I was about 3 and I saw the Nature boy cutting a Promo and I was hooked ever since.

The first matches I saw was a jobber squash on Superstars. That's all I could see, being that we couldn't afford PPV's. I can't remember who the squashes had.

But, the first wrestler that I remember seeing in the WWF was Randy Savage. This was at Wrestlemania 8 when he had the match with Flair. That was the first PPV match that I ever saw.

Dusty Rhodes cutting a promo on HTM for SummerSlam '89. I asked myself, 'Who is this bizarre, polka-dot clad man and why does he hate this 'Honky Tonk guy?' I was hooked.

I don't know what the hell it could've been, as I probably watched it with my dad and my brother loooong before I became a fan. It was probably some WCW guys, as I seem to remember watching SuperBrawl II.

I didn't take notice of who anybody was until... Shawn Michaels. 1996, baby, that's why I started watching.

The first ever match or wrestlers that I saw were Ted DiBiase and Randy Savage, in the Main Event of Wrestlemania 4. Perhaps that's why I never liked Hogan, and I always liked wrestlers with good ring talent.

Jim Duggan vs. Yokozuna in 1993 - it was the match where Duggan got killed by Yoko afterwards

I remember back in the 80's watching with my dad- Undertaker vs ??? and after the match, he put the person in a body bag. Freaked me out back then.

Got back into it around 99-2000. Briefly during hte Greater power angle, and for good during the whole Foley-HHH deal. I had a friend at school- he'd tell me what was going on in the WWF, I'd tell him what happened on Buffy.

God that seems so long ago now.

A bunch of early WWF matches and WCW matches that I couldn't place directly when I was very young, but the very first wrestler I saw who got me hooked on wrestling was Kurt Angle. Needless to say, I'm a more recent wrestling fan than most on this board.

My earliest memory, I was about 3, and Brutus Beefcake was coming out as part of the Dream Team.

After that, in my first real foray into wrestling, the first match I saw and watched was Dusty Rhodes beating Rick Martel by DQ on Superstars or something because of Arrogance in the eyes. Feh.

For whatever reason, my first memory is hearing Junk Yard Dog being introduced and thinking he was a bad guy because he was a dog.

It was probably someone before that though

The first wrestler I saw was Randy Savage in late 92/early 93 on a WWF action figure commercial, he scared the hell out of me because of the raspy voice and brightly colored clothes. The first match I saw was Randy Savage Vs Yokozuna on an episode of RAW in early 94.

The first wrestler (and show...and angle) I distinctly can remember seeing - Hulk Hogan getting punked out by Randy Savage on SNME, after leaving to tend to an injured Elizabeth, leaving Savage all by his lonesome.

What a great angle.

First match I really paid attention to -- Bossman/Hulk in the cage on SNME after the Zeus beatdown.

Same exact thing. My first memory of wrestling is that angle and my first match that I cared about and payed attention to was Hogan/Savage from WM5. You can figure out what my first PPV was. I loved hogan and Savage and I was a part time watcher till 1992 when Bret Hart got me hooked. That year I cheered for Bret, Savage, IRS, DiBiase and, ofcourse, Flair & Perfect. In 1993 I got turned off by Hogan screwing over Bret at WM9 and tuned in to TBS. I became a huge WCW fan by watching, who else, Ric flair when he returned and I remember I was REALLY hyped to see Battlebowl 93. All those guys I mentioned are still my favorites to this day with Bret being number 1.

Guest Jobber of the Week

Ric Flair. Royal Rumble 1992.

I didn't care to even casually watch wrestling for another seven years (I was more into cartoons and Power Rangers myself) but I still could always remember in the back of my head his victory promo.

Tatanka, I was so into his win streak, only to be heart broken when he joined the Million Dollar Corperation.

No offense to anyone, but so many of you seem to be "babes" as wrestling fans. I'm actually somewhat shocked. My top three that I first remember seeing are...

...Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, and "The Boogie Woogie Man" Handsome Jimmy Valiant!!!

Long live the Boogie Woogie damnit!!!!!!!

Well, I only started watching in 1994. As far back as my old tapes go...is WrestleMania 1...so I've only seen Jimmy's bro "Luscious" Johnny Valient...managing "The Man of 1,000 Gimmicks" Ed Leslie during the early Beefcake run.

Which reminds me...what ever happened to David Sammartino?

The first wrestler I remember seeing on tv was Sgt. Slaughter.

He was beating some jobber on Superstars.

I remember wanting the jobber to win.

I started watching wrestling in 86 I believe but the first angle I remember vividly was the events leading up to WrestleMania V between Savage and Hogan...

however the very first match that I remember watching that really got me hooked on WORKRATE... a match that kept me on the edge of my seat and still remains one of my favorite matches, was the great Sting/Luger vs. Steiner Bros. match from Superbrawl 91. I worship that match
