(I can't remember) He said the following when asked if he's been a drum tech for any other bands lately. "Last week I was in the studio with Matt Sorum (ex-Cult, ex-Gn'R), Duff McKagan (ex Gn'R), Slash (ex Gn'R) and Scott Weiland (Stone Temple Pilots) - I think they're going to call this band "Loaded" and they're working on some soundtrack stuff for a movie called "The Italian Job" and also for "The Incredible Hulk." They will be recording their record this summer, and it should be, as all the kids say, "dropping: January 2004. Yeah thats right you heard it here first!"

I doubt if he's gonna call THIS band Loaded too. That would be kinda confusing to be in two different bands named Loaded. They've already said a million times that the band is named The Project. http://www.mygnr.com/loaded/ It has also been out for a few weeks that Weiland would sing for the soundtrack songs, after that they don't know yet. He might join the band, he might not, but for right now he's just doing vocals for the Italian Job soundtrack so they can get on it. Sounds like it's just some asshole trying to get his name in the news by acting like he knows what's going on when he doesn't.

"Hey, my other band it called Loaded, let's call this one....REloaded! Just like the Matrix!!" After two recorded songs and months of speculation, Stone Temple Pilots singer Scott Weiland confirmed that will he be the singer for the band featuring former Guns n' Roses members Slash (guitar), Duff McKagan (bass) and Matt Sorum (drums). According to Weiland, the secretive group, which has been working under the name "the Project," will be called Reloaded. "Yeah, I'm in the band," Weiland told Rolling Stone during Marilyn Manson's show at Los Angeles' Key Club on Monday night. "We signed the contract." Sorum, who attended the Manson show with Weiland, was more guarded about the singer's involvement. "I need to ask my whole band before we can say anything," he said. "We left the studio tonight to come down here to see Manson." Sorum and company had been searching for a frontman for the better part of a year. In addition to an open call for demo tapes, they tried out a stable of well-known singers including Sebastian Bach (Skid Row), Travis Meek (Days of the New), Kelly Shaefer (Neurotica), Josh Todd (Buckcherry) and A. Jay Popoff (Lit). VH1 has been filming the tryouts and sessions for an upcoming special. Last month, Weiland seemed to gain the pole position when he recorded a cover of Pink Floyd's "Money" with the band and guitarist David Kushner (Suicidal Tendencies, Wasted Youth) for The Italian Job soundtrack, due May 26th. According to a post on the Stone Temple Pilots Web site, Reloaded also worked on a new song called "Set Me Free" for The Hulk soundtrack and hope to release a full-length record by February 2004.

I've seen the street in Beverly Hills where Axl Rose lives most of the time. However, who the fuck knows with him. This is a guy who takes a 'psychic' touring with him to warn him of bad vibes. No matter WHERE he chose to live, it wouldn't surprise me no matter how weird or Michael Jackson-esque it was. M

"Scott is not in the band," Slash spokesperson Arlett Vereecke told MTV.com. "The management set up [a live presentation for film studios in April] as a way to get the guys in the recording studio again, to have something going until they decide on a vocalist." "It's pretty darn close," McKagan said. "We kind of set ourselves up for the right singer to come along, and I think so far this is good. It's a step in the right direction [doing these songs] with Scott." Despite reports that Weiland is now the band's singer and has signed a contract, sources close to the group told MTV that there is no contract and that he can't be confirmed as the frontman until he resolves his rehab issues, an ongoing source of frustration for the band. As previously reported, the band recently contributed an original song titled "Set Me Free" to "The Hulk" soundtrack to go with the already announced cover of PINK FLOYD's "Money" for the soundtrack to director F. Gary Gray's upcoming remake of the 1969 British crime comedy "The Italian Job". Though they may be listed in the credits for the upcoming "The Italian Job" credits as THE PROJECT, an official name is still being chosen, Slash's spokesperson said. The group known as simply the Project, featuring ex-Gunners Slash, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum, staged a live presentation for film studios at their rehearsal space in April with Stone Temple Pilots' Scott Weiland on vocals. Afterward the band received several requests to contribute songs to movies as far off as 2004, and the guys have agreed to donate tracks to "The Italian Job" and "The Hulk." For "The Italian Job," a remake of a 1969 Michael Caine heist film, the band contributed a faithful rendition of Pink Floyd's "Money." While the film was still in rough cut screenings last month, the Project recorded the cover with guests Weiland, Ziggy Marley and keyboardist Teddy Andreadis, who toured and played with Guns during their Use Your Illusion period. Weiland sang lead vocals, and Marley had a small speaking part. For the "The Hulk," Slash and company contributed an original song called "Set Me Free," again with Weiland on vocals. Up through last week, Slash was still recording the guitar parts for the urgent rock track. Judging by demos obtained by MTV News, the Project's original material has a wide range, with some songs sounding like they'd be at home on Appetite for Destruction thanks to a hard blues edge and classic Slash melodies under the vocal line. Other tracks are more reminiscent of the Cult in that they're darker, with a more cohesive rhythm-and-groove orientation. "Set Me Free," by comparison, is the first of the new songs to really showcase the group's songwriting strength, especially since it doesn't sound reminiscent of the bands from which the Project's members sprang. An unmixed demo of "Set Me Free" was blistering and riff-oriented, with Weiland's vocals starting as a growl and building to an almost pained, higher register chorus: "Set me free, set me free/ 'Cos I think you need to heal my soul." "It's a rocker," Sorum said. "Very action-oriented-type number, up-tempo, about 160 [beats per minute], which is nice and fast. It's killer, man." Several sources close to the band cautioned that just because Weiland performed with the group at the film studio presentation and recorded two tracks doesn't make him a full-fledged member. The Project continue to audition singers, and in the meantime the plan is to contribute one-offs to films so the band has time to make bigger decisions about names, labels and vocalists (see "Sebastian Bach Or Scott Weiland To Fill Axl's Jackboots?").
