Guest Ace309 Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 "X-Pac heat" seems to be a pretty common and well-understood phrase in the IWC, denoting not heel heat but "Get off my TV, I'm bored with you" heat. I think we should start a letter-writing, email-sending and sign-carrying campaign where we simply say "HHH = X-Pac." The theory being, we need to find a way to tell WWE that we're really, honestly bored with the character. We're not just giving him heel heat. Do I expect it to accomplish anything? No, not really. But it certainly couldn't hurt. Worst case scenario, we get another 20-minute promo where Trips mocks the IWC on Raw.
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 If it's not going to accomplish anything at all, why should we bother doing it?
Guest Ace309 Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 I dunno, I'm kind of hoping for the 20-minute mock-the-fans promo.
Guest Dace59 Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 Only so you can parody it, to save you writing one yourself. Hehe. Seriously, it's a fun little idea to laugh about people.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 If a sign showed up that said "H-Pac" with HHH's pic on it, I'd mark.
Guest Coffey Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 If it's not going to accomplish anything at all, why should we bother doing it? Because it would be funny? I'd laugh if a fan camera side at a RAW just kept holding up this sign: "H³ = X-Pac Heat"
Guest DawnBTVS Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 chant 'Boring' when HHH appears...more effective
Guest Choken One Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 Or organize people and have a MASS exodus during his matches and promos...Make sure it's front row people though...
Guest Y2DAYDAY Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 HHH is the best guy they have(on RAW). Why all the hate? Just a bunch of "sheet reading marks" who believe everything they read. Want to know who a real cancer is? Kevin Nash. Hulk Hogan. Those are the real cancers. HHH is still young, and has many years left in him. Hogan and Nash are WAY past their prime, yet still end up in prime positions. Hogan somehow ends up main eventing Wrestlemania every year while HHH is always below him. I can't wait until someone knew, one of the internet darlings, finally get to the tippety top so I can hear everyone bitch about them. HHH is right. When you are the up and comer, everyone is on your side and want you to get to the top. Once you are there, they don't want you there anymore and want a new guy.
Guest El Satanico Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 The best way to go about it would be do nothing during his match. No boos, no boring chants, no noise...NOTHING. Silence = death for wrestlers Total silence minus small areas of cheers is something Vince can't ignore and HHH can't bullshit his way through explaining.
Guest El Satanico Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 HHH isn't that young...and his body is older than his age. Besides, Jericho is the best guy on Raw. I mean come on he's still over even after being shit on by HHH and HBK and made to look like a total joke. That alone makes him better than HHH.
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 HHH isn't that young...and his body is older than his age. Besides, Jericho is the best guy on Raw. I mean come on he's still over even after being shit on by HHH and HBK and made to look like a total joke. That alone makes him better than HHH. No he isn't very young, but it's funny when you hear people talk about "young stars" and they are all older or just as old as HHH.
Guest Coffey Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 The Hurricane is on RAW. The Hurricane is young. The Hurricane is over. Push Hurricane. Fuck size.
ChrisMWaters Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 The Hurricane is on RAW. The Hurricane is young. The Hurricane is over. Push Hurricane. Fuck size. THANK YOU! FINALLY someone has the same sentiment as I do about the situation. Then again, I also think that Molly would be a better choice for World Champion than HHH...but that's because...you know. Still, Hurricane should have a chance.
Guest Coffey Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 I've liked the Hurricane since his 3-Count days. Even before his WCW single's push. He's just straight talented. Plus, from the things I've read by him, etc. he's pretty cool. I don't totally hate HHH however. I think he would be good again if he had to work for shit again. It's just a good situation pretty much fell into his lap, and he has done a lot of manipulating to keep it that way. I would've done/would do the same thing he is if given the opportunity. Still though, Raw has EVERYTHING that it needs. The just have to utilize it.
Guest bob_barron Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 HHH is the best guy they have(on RAW). Why all the hate? Just a bunch of "sheet reading marks" who believe everything they read. R-V-Who? Y-2-What? Booker-Huh? Want to know who a real cancer is? Triple H? Vince McMahon? Kevin Nash. No argument there. Hulk Hogan. Those are the real cancers. HHH is still young, and has many years left in him. Hogan and Nash are WAY past their prime, yet still end up in prime positions. Hogan somehow ends up main eventing Wrestlemania every year while HHH is always below him. People who Hogan helped put over in 2002: Rock, HHH, Taker, Angle, Edge and Brock Lesnar. People who got a rub from Triple H: Shawn Michaels. HHH is not young- he's in his mid 30s. It'd be nice if when you made your claims they weren't rubbish. At X-8 HHH was the last match at the show despite having the second to worst feud going in. Hogan should've been above him that year since people actually wanted to see his match. No one bought the show to see HHH v. Jericho., I can't wait until someone knew, one of the internet darlings, finally get to the tippety top so I can hear everyone bitch about them. HHH is right. When you are the up and comer, everyone is on your side and want you to get to the top. Once you are there, they don't want you there anymore and want a new guy. Yes- because everyone here just loves to bitch about that damn Kurt Angle. How come no one bitches about him- he's a tippety top guy. Or The Rock? Again- not many people hate him. People hate Triple H for a reason- not because he's on top.

I don't think it's so much about people wanting "young" stars; moreso they want "new" stars. I know Booker T is older than HHH. I know Jericho and RVD are probably around the same age as HHH. But they haven't had their chance for a shot at the top (well, Jericho did but had it cut short), so they're still considered new as far as the main event goes.
Guest Mole Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 The best thing to do is when Triple-Juice comes out, just sit down and don't say a word. That is what I did last time I went to Raw, not do a damn thing.
Guest Army Eye Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 Yes- because everyone here just loves to bitch about that damn Kurt Angle. How come no one bitches about him- he's a tippety top guy. Or The Rock? Again- not many people hate him. People hate Triple H for a reason- not because he's on top. People bitched about Rock plenty before his heel turn. And Angle isn't a 'tippity-top' guy on the level of Austin/Rock/HHH. Not yet..
Guest El Satanico Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 Yes, we were bitching about Rock before the heel turn, but not in the way that we bitch about HHH. The bitching about Rock was mainly over the fact that his face act became stale. Not that many spoke true hatred for him until he choose Hollywood over WWe.

Since when? He's not even the most over person on RAW. Since he came back from the quad injury he hasn't exactly set the world on fire. If he rests enough before a big match he can be watchable.
Guest El Satanico Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 HHH acts like a face and gets booed when his music ends...That should tell Vince something. I guess HHH will have to become an actual face and still get booed before Vince can see something.
Guest Mattdotcom Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 HHH is the best guy they have(on RAW). Why all the hate? Because I like wrestlers that don't bore me and can actually entertain me? I mean, I can still have a personal opinion, can't I? Or am I just a dirt-sheet reading smark?
Guest Austin3164life Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 A really cool thing would be for all the members of this board who "HHHate", or generally dislike Triple H, to go to a televised show in the middle of where most of the members live, and whenever Triple H has a promo or match, all of us leave in droves to get drinks or refreshments. That'd be a great thing to do, but there are members here from Australia and England and Texas.

And Angle isn't a 'tippity-top' guy on the level of Austin/Rock/HHH. Not yet.. They bitched at him for being stale. Rock then did a complete 180 of his character in response. I consider Angle to be at that level but it's all a matter of opinion I guess
Guest Anglesault Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 I consider Angle to be at that level but it's all a matter of opinion I guess Partly because you seem to love Angle's "push" and can't think of a SINGLE WAY it could have been better.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 HHH is going to be a McMahon soon, him and Steph will be running the company some day - the man is nearly untouchable. HHH is seen as a 'big star'. He doesn't bring in the money that Rock and Austin do, but the fans still hold him on that level. That doesn't mean he should be pushed over anyone and everyone on the roster - that just means that when he puts over someone, the fans step back and say 'whoa'. Of course, HHH won't put over anyone other than his good buddies and shows no intention in 'making' anyones careers, so that star power is meaningless.
Guest CanadianChris Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 And Angle isn't a 'tippity-top' guy on the level of Austin/Rock/HHH. Not yet.. I don't think he's at Austin's or Rock's level, but he's certainly at HHH's level.
Guest TheGame2705 Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 Hate HHH? Here's an idea....get over it. No one likes to hear it but as long as Triple H can keep his spot he's keeping it. I personally don't hate him. He actually entertains me. What's going on wrong is that they're trying too hard. It's EXACTLY what my friend did with Triple H in EWR. HHH started losing overness so my friend put him over Shawn, Hurricane, RVD, and the retiring Bret Hart. The over he gained only helped stabilize what he had lost and the over of everyone else didn't suffer. Then he stopped trying and focused on someone else and Triple H got over without all the effort. The point is, Triple H still has the goods. He can make you hate him more than anyone else and he can bring drama. Problem is, they're booking him as a face yet he's supposed to be a heel and he's confused in his role. Right now the only problems I see on RAW is that everyone below him and his flavor of the month are pretty much just lost in the shuffle.
