Who gets unfairly shit on the most by smarks?

This isn't so much, "Who's really a decent wrestler that everyone thinks sucks." It's more who gets too much crap for stuff that isn't their fault, or gets criticized too much for things that aren't that big of a deal.

 

The writers are one example. We see dumb stuff on WWE TV and blame the writers, but consider a few things: One, from what I read, the writers are merely putting words to Vince and Stephanie's general ideas. Two, I don't think WWE hires writers who know wrestling. I'm sure you saw that job posting that called for soap opear writing experience but didn't ask for wrestling knowledge. So you've got people writing who probably think wrestling is childish and cartoonish, not smarks like yourselves.

 

Another example is Triple H. He isn't the Devil, people.

Albert...has never gotten much to work with in terms of character development at all. Been pushed for no reason which has hurt him IMO. Decent worker who's trying to improve in the ring and just needs some character development besides being a "bully" on Smackdown.

I don't mind Test, Vince Russo, Douglas, The Wall during his heel run in WCW, and I think Albert can serve a purpose (far from the main event, though).

 

If this was a year or two ago, I would've had a big list. But now, ehhh, everyone sucks.

OVW rookies, without a doubt. In order for them to be popular here, they must automatically have the skills of a master technician. What's even funnier IMO is that I've even read a few saying things like "Orton has NO potential what so ever" as if stating that he'll aways be a talentless hack... and I'm sorry, but it's statements like that that give most smart marks a bad name and the label... cynical and ignorant

Douglas and Test are good ones, they both are solid talents IMO, always have been actually.

 

I havent understood the Lesnar hate on occasions either.

 

HHH though is the closest thing to the anti-god of wrestling right now though, the hate for him is justified on many levels.

A-Train or Bill DeMott. No, they aren't the best at putting matches together (A-Train's I blame on his training) but they have some nice power moves, and most importantly they try hard. Effort is something that really appeals to me as a wrestling fan. No, they shouldn't be main-eventing, but there is no reason that they can't become quality midcarders. They aren't Kevin Nash.

 

EDIT: Lesnar & Edge are liked for the most part. Most of the hate against them is from the same two or three people that just happen to be very loud.

I dislike HHH, not because he is a backstage politician, but because he bores me. I can't in good consience form a hate for him because of his supposed backstage bullshit... because I would be a hypocrit. I never judged Flair and I never judged Austin, because both of them (especially Flair) manipulated the system to work in their favor. I've come to realize that it's just a fact of the business and it's never going to change. Every major star from Lou Thesz to Ric Flair to Dusty Rhodes to Hulk Hogan to Steve Austin to Shawn Michaels to HHH to eventually and I can almost guarantee it, Brock Lesnar... will play politics. The only difference, I guess if you want to look into it, is that Flair always made everyone he was in the ring with look like superman, and would come with in an inch of his life retaining the title... but then again, when Kurt Angle would do this, it was a sign of making your champion look weak, with the only excuse given mostly by Anglesault was "yeah, but that's Ric F'ing Flair!" like that's an excuse at all...

Jamal and Rosey -- Actually, just any big guys in general, Look at them. They're SUPPOSED to be slow and methodical. If everyone wrestled like a freakin' luchdore than wrestling would get really boring after a while. I know it's a JR-ism, but the "clash of styles" is one thing that makes wrestling interesting. But about 3MW: They're still young and it's not like they've been given the tag belts yet. And they're not THAT bad.

Something about Edge has just always irked me and I never quite feel comfortable liking him. It's not that I hate him. I just can't bring myself to like him.

 

I don't like Goldberg cause I feel he's overrated and his attitude towards the business, but strangely I haven't minded him that much in this WWE run.

 

I hate HHH and I'm not afraid to admit it. You can say "he's not the devil" as a cute little saying all you want, but the guy isn't helping the WWE right now. I don't want him to die or anything. I don't even want him to be seriously injured. I just want him to drop the title already. His run is over and no one cares about it.

How is the rookie bashing wrong? Did we bash WWE Rookies like Benoit or Jericho or Eddie for not being up to par in the ring? Oh yeah, that's because they actually knew how to wrestle and had experience! *slaps head* I forgot. "My bad".

 

I don't really get some of the Edge hate, or the Albert hate (ok, I *do* get that), I don't like the Hogan hate but I don't think it's unfair.

I think Triple H is picking it back up in the ring. His utter control of most of the storylines bores me, but when he gets in the ring nowadays he seems quicker and is solid. Much better than a year ago. His punches are great, the high knee is back and he throws a hell of a spinebuster and pedigree. His transitions aren't so hot, but, like I said, he is getting better in every match.

I got a much higher opinion of A-Train after watching him during his solid push. He busted out a lot of different moves during his Smackdown matchs (Benoit) and seemed to move relitively fast without getting blown. He may shit on that when given a few more 20+ minute matches, but he looks worthy in the ring for the time being.

Who hates Nova on here??? I thought most of us like him? The whole Nova joke isn't bashing him it's just a running joke.

 

As far as Edge. I think it's his wrestling style I don't like. His lanky size makes a lot of the moves he does look a little off. Especially that facebuster thing he does. So after awhile you wonder if he's going to fix it.
