Guest Joe_G Report post Posted May 14, 2003 Since I don't own a PS2, I had a long wait to finally play Vice City. After grabbing it yesterday and indulging in a marathon gaming session, I'm digging it the most. Big complaint: the controls for the rc copter in "Demolition Man" are ridiculously frustrating on your keyboard. I'm going to have to modify the controls or get a gamepad if I want to have any hope of completing this one. Everything else is great--the game runs a lot nice than GTA3 did for my PC. And good lord, is it fun cruising around the city on a motorcycle (but not so good for police chases, since one bump will send you flying). My finest moment was during the "Waste the Wife" mission, where you have to kill this woman but make it look like an accident. So I'm chasing her and trying to ram her, but she dodges and I slam into another car. My engine catches fire, and soon I'm without wheels. I need another car quick or else she escapes, and the only car around is a police car stopped at a red light. So I say "What the hell" and open fire on him. He hops out and I quickly gun him down and hop behind the wheel. So I've got a car but unfortunately, I've also got a 2* wanted level. So then it gets really crazy, as the cops are after me and I'm after the woman. Finally I'm able to slam into her and her car explodes, and thankfully my wanted level disappears. Motorcycle jumping the little river to get away from the cops by Club Malibu...... oh...and cheating to get the best gun and then completely waste every single person that was in and entered Club Malibu until my wanted level was at 4*s before running my ass off to find a motorcycle and jumping it up onto the rooftops and waiting for my wanted level to disappear before doing it AGAIN... you can make some good cash in there if you don't get shot at alot Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Actually, had you gunned it and then bailed, it's likely your car would have exploded right near hers, which probably would have killed her. I don't know if that would count as an accident or not, but it's certainly a dashed cool way to kill someone. Here's another, for a different mission... Spoiler (Highlight to Read): In the pizza boy mission, I failed a few times because that fucker is just crazy good on his stupid little moped. Finally, I got him near the beach and crashed into the moped, knocking him off. I then got on the moped before he could, drove it across the beach, and pitched it into the water. Dr Tom: The woman I was chasing was long gone in the opposite direction when my car caught fire, and I had to bail really fast anyway. I managed to kill the pizza guy on the first try, although I don't know how he delivers pizzas without actually stopping. I forgot about the "Four Iron" mission, which entails killing some guy on a golf course. So I get decked out in my new Caddyshack duds and head to the course. There's a metal detector, so I had to leave my guns behind. No problem, I'm packing a golf club, that's good enough right? So I get near the guy and he sends his goons after me. A few well placed swings take care of them. But now the guy I'm after has hopped in a golf cart and he's driving all over the place. I do the same but I have a hard time running him down (carts tip over quite easily). So he's heading back to the clubhouse and I follow. When I get there he's gotten into the back of a limo. So I do the sensible thing and yank out the driver and hop in myself. I'm pulling away when I notice my target getting out of the car and running in the opposite direction. So I get out and prepare to blow him away, except, oops, I left my guns at the clubhouse. So I'm chasing after this guy with a golf club and just can't catch up. Finally he gets to a bridge that isn't in order, so he just stands there, allowing me ample opportunity to beat him to death. Phew. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
