Guest Mole Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 Well, what movies are actually going to get your money this summer? I only plan to see Bruce Almighty, Pirates of Caribbean, 2 Fast 2 Furious, American Wedding, Finding Nemo, Dumb and Dumberer, Prozac Nation(if it is playing around me) and Freddy vs Jason. I might see The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Legally Blonde 2, T:3, The Italian Job, and S.W.A.T. I'll wait till the others get out on video. I defiently won't waste my money on Hulk, I have no intentions of seeing that movie. What about you fellas?
Guest Marshall Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 Bruce Almighty looks like a piece of crap. Pirates of Caribbean doesn't look that good to me, but I'll most likly see it. 2 Fast 2 Furious. I haven't seen 1 Fast 1 Furious or what ever that piece of crap is called. So no. American Wedding. I haven't seen Pie 2. Don't really have any interest. I could watch pie 2 right now, my sister has the DVD, but I just haven't got the enrgy. Finding Nemo. Yes! Can't wait. Pixer rules all. That said, I'd rather have Toy Story 3. Dumb and Dumberer, I'll see this out of interest. Might even be funny. Prozac Nation. Never heard of this, so yes Freddy vs Jason. Yes, yes, yes!!!!!!! I've been waiting for this ever since I marked out at seeing Freddy's glove pulling Jason mask into hell in Jason Goes to Hell when I was 14!!!!! The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Never read or heard of the comics. Could be nice. Legally Blonde 2. Um, no. Haven't seen Blonde 1 T:3 Dead right. This is a must see, even THIS summer. The Italian Job. I don't think I can. I LOVE the original. It's one of my favourite movies ever!!! This will be shit. Do yourself a favour and rent the original. You'll be walking around screaming 'you were only supost to blow the bloody doors off' for days. S.W.A.T. Blah, whatever. Hulk. All the mavel movie have been great, except Daredevil, which sucked balls. I'll see Hulk with bells on. Is that everthing?
Guest starvenger Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 I'll probably watch The Hulk and play everything else by ear.
Guest Big McLargeHuge Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 The Hulk. T3 and the Matrix. (Already seen X2) Maybe Bad Boys 2. I thought Freddy vs Jason comes out in the fall?
Guest tank_abbott Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 Bruce, Wrong Turn, Hulk, L.O.E.G., American Wedding, Freddy vs jason
Guest Mole Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 Am I the only one who doesn't give two shits about the Hulk?
Guest starvenger Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 Am I the only one who doesn't give two shits about the Hulk? I'm sure you aren't. I'm definitely expecting a mixed reaction for the movie...
Guest Mole Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 I haven't heard anyone else say anything bad about it, other than me.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 American Wedding, I love these movies and I've seen the first two on the big screen anyway. Freddy vs Jason...I'll walk to the the cinema if I have to to see this one. Those are the only ones I'll see for sure. I never see as many movies as I vow to.
Guest Mole Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 My ex-girlfriend likes a lot of shitty movies, for example, she says Exit Wounds was good and DMX is a good actor, enough said about that. I never saw Bad Boys, but she says it was a great movie, very funny. When I see a trailer, it sells me to see the movie or not. The trailer for Bad Boys 2 looked horrible, but she is claiming it is going to be great. Should I go see it, or just wait till it's on HBO?
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 Where to begin... Bruce Almighty The Italian Job ( Sleeper Hit) Wrong Turn 2 Fast 2 Furious LXG Bad Boys 2 (Finally, i've been waiting 8 years ) T:3 The Hulk Charlie's Angels 2: Full Throttle (Yeah, that's right) American Wedding Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl S.W.A.T. Freddy Vs Jason Johnny English Lara Croft: Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life I'll stay away from D & D 2. And yes... I will be at the Theatre like I am every week to see all of the above. My life is at the Movie Theatre...
Guest Lethargic Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 Does American Wedding really come out this summer? I saw it listed on Videoeta and thought it was a mistake. American Pie 2 was all over the place for a year. There hasn't been any buzz at all about this one. I'm only gonna go see the Hulk, The League, Freddy vs Jason and Charlies Angels 2. I MIGHT go see Bad Boys 2 because the new trailer that came out this week looks a LOT better than the first trailer. And maybe T3 but that's a BIG maybe. Probably go see Matrix next week some time. Really, as far as I'm concerned with X2 and Matrix already being out so early, summer movie season seems like it's already peaked.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 You're going to see 15 movies this summer?
Guest the pinjockey Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 Am I the only one who doesn't give two shits about the Hulk? God no, none of my friends or myself want to see this. There was a little bit of interest before they started the commercials, but when they showed the crappy CGI Hulk any possible interest went out the window. What they should have done is just keep up like they did with the trailers of just showing the Hulk's eye close up then some carnage shots.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 I'd do it if I had the extra time/money I'm lucky to see 3-4 movies a year, and I've already seen 2, and with FvsJ, American Wedding, and LOTR I'm going to see at least 5 this year
Guest the pinjockey Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 The only three I know I will see this summer are T3, Fvs.J and American Wedding (already saw X2 and Matrix). Anything else will be if I am bored and hear some decent things I will go ahead and see something
Guest mach7 Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 '28 Days Later' since I missed my chance to see it when I was in the UK last summer. A lot of people [who downloaded it] didn't like it, but I could care less. I'm all over zombie flicks, especially ones that make it to the big screen here in North America.
Guest TUS_02 Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 I never saw Bad Boys, but she says it was a great movie, very funny. When I see a trailer, it sells me to see the movie or not. The trailer for Bad Boys 2 looked horrible, but she is claiming it is going to be great. Should I go see it, or just wait till it's on HBO? I'm a big fan of the first Bad Boys, Smith and Lawerence have a GREAT chemistry together and while I don't understand WHY a sequel needed to be made, I want to see it. Looks good... I dunno... Freddy vs Jason is a must for me, so is SWAT, if for only seeing Coling Farrell and Sammy L share the same screen. I'm a sucker for the American Pie movies, so the third is also on the list. Those are the only real must sees for now... I'll probably check out a lot of them, but whatever...
Guest Marshall Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 God, I really hated 28 Days Later. I still have a bitter taste whenever I think of it.
LooseCannon25 Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 Heres mine... Freddy vs. Jason Terminator 3 Bad Boys 2 Dumb and Dumberer The italian Job ...and probably some romantic crap that my girl will drag me too.....I had to go watch freakin Sweet Home Alabama when it came out for christ sake.
Guest Zack Malibu Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 The Hulk American Wedding Freddy vs. Jason The Hulk Bad Boys 2 2 Fast 2 Furious The Hulk The Italian Job The Hulk That's probably all I'll actually see. There were more I WOULD go see, but I know I'm going to wind up seeing Hulk multiple times. And I too have been dying for Bad Boys 2.
Guest Ravenbomb Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 I don't give 2 shits about the friggen R-Rating. I'm going to see FvsJ. I could probably pass for 18. Hell, I'll be 17 when I go see it. Other than that, Matrix 2 and T3
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 T3 and Bad Boys 2 are the only guarantees.
Guest razazteca Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 T & A movies you know Tits and Action that is Charlies Angels 2 and Tomb Raider 2. Sequels to everything, Bruce Almighty, Hulk.
Guest Lil Naitch Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 I read the book for The Hulk, so I expect a good movie. Also, when they release a director's cut of Daredevil, it will be a lot better, IMO.
Guest wwF1587 Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 Bruce Almighty (looks funny) Dumb & Dumberer (just for the hell of it... i know it wont be anywhere near the original but) The Hulk (never a big hulk fan but wth, no recent superhero movie has disappointed me yet) Legally Blonde 2 (hey Why The Fudge NOT! maybe i will have a gf by then so I have an excuse for my friends) Lara Croft 2 (saw the original, not bad, second one cant be too bad) Freddy VS Jason (HELL YEAH!) Finding Nemo (PIXAR rules all) might check out T3 (i never got in to this series for some reason) Italian Job ( doesnt look that good though) yea ill be busy this summer
Guest packwingfn Posted May 18, 2003 Report Posted May 18, 2003 The only reason Ill see Dumb and Dumber 2 is because it should be taking place at my "school"...Cumberland High School, though in the film, it really wont be my school, they use some fake school but still using the Cumberland RI name. Also there might be some shots of Cumberland in the movie like there was in the first Dumb and Dumber...and other Farrelly Brother movies so thats always interesting
Guest Max Danger Posted May 18, 2003 Report Posted May 18, 2003 (edited) The Hulk(Not a big fan or anything, but hey, the comic books-turned-movies have all been pretty good.) Finding Nemo(Yeah, like I'm not going to see a Pixar movie.) Terminator 3(This is the biggest iffy one. But, probably, watch it.) American Wedding(Alyson Hannigan mark! Gotta see it.) Italian Job(Seth Green and Jason Statham mark!) Edited May 18, 2003 by Max Danger
