Nice little show, though, um, perhaps the effort wasn't all there throughout. The Wild & Dangerous promo to start off with was especially good, as is everything Silent does.

 

I was also amused, despite the Riley commentary to the contrary, by the Catch-22 promo and development.

 

Atlas wrote a good match, psychologically speaking (and I don't necessarily mean the limbwork as much as the interaction between the characters.)

 

Dace's win was a little too big-spotty for me. A lot of what he did would just kill guys, but that's okay. It's Hardcore. (Y)

I was also a little disappointed to find out that Danny no-showed, but them's the breaks, I suppose.

 

Also, just fyi, since Danny was a bit concerned: I'm not sure about anyone else, but I'd like to go on record and say my stats are not law. If there's a move you'd like me to use that's not on my stats, whether it's something I did once six months ago or just something you think would work well, feel free to write me doing it. Within reason, of course... Flesher's not going to be corkscrew planchaing or throwing ranas or anything. But hey, do what you want with the character in his style.

The Ejiro vs. Frost segment was by design. If you look at that, the match with Jay Dawg and the board promo I did, you can see an obvious storyline taking shape.

For the record, Danny did not no-show, Flesher. He did not have time to take the full effort he would have liked though, and had to tack on a hasty beginning and ending. Even so I still hope he posts his match, because frankly I was happily surprised to find out that he has a sense of humor.

 

And is it just me or was that the Suicide King show? I was in, like, every damned promo.

If someone could give me more input on how the promo worked out, please do. I thought I came off somewhat preachy and messianic. I wanted to make sure that the promo was more "We are Catch-22, and Wild and Dangerous is going to murder J&R" so on and so forth.

I apologize for the less-than-steller Last Man Standing match. I hadn't had time to write before Wednesday due to my AP testing and some poor time planning, and when I realized I had to write a 6500 word LMS match, I just didn't have the will to do it. Fortunately, I did write about 1800 words, so I tacked on the ending and sent it to Mark. Apologies, and now that my schoolwork is officially over, and now that I'm back into the flow a little bit, I think that there shouldn't be any more major problems like this again. Haven't read the show yet (saw the Matrix instead), so I'll get around to that soon.

Very true, Beez. With such an odd bunch of people, it's going to take a bit to make the promos adhere, so I'm curious to see what kind of tones you're going to take in the promos and so on.

The promo was slightly rushed. I feel that perhaps some careful follow ups can help get it right. Here is hoping.
