Bored Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 I advocate the seperation of church and wrestling!
Mecha Mummy Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 The Austin shirt is good. The HBK shirt... Well, if you're a devout Christian, fine. But for everyone else... Nope.
Guest Lightning Flik Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 Wait a minute~! Stunner Inc.? You mean we've got Deadman Inc. and now Stunner Inc.? What's next? Christian Reborn Inc.? The People Inc.? I like the shirt, but I mean, come on. Can't we get something a little different than Inc.?

Guest Coffey Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 I like the HBK shirt. I dislike the Austin shirt.
Guest Blue Bacchus Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 The Austin is Pretty Sweet. HBK is Ugh. Total Ugh.
Guest RepoMan Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 The Austin shirt is good. The HBK shirt... Well, if you're a devout Christian, fine. But for everyone else... Nope. If I where a devout Christian, I'd be very offeneded. If you take the shirt at face value, it's comparing HBK to Christ. As a non-devout Christian, I find it tacky, yet hilarious.
David Blazenwing Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 the HBK shirt kicks ass! My parents were always against wrestling because it was "unchristian", but they actually LIKE HBK and his holy ways. I can probably talk them into ordering this shirt for me with the argument that it promotes church
Guest My Eyebrow is on fire Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 I think this puts to rest anyone's doubt that Shawn Michaels has quite a bit of influence over Vince Mcmahon's business.
Guest mickberna Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 The Austin shirt is pretty cool, although I would have stayed away from the "Inc." thing. It's just another hackneyed naming convention, much like the letter "X" or the word "American". Lest we forget "Models, Inc." As for the HBK shirt, you'd be surprised how many wrestlers will dig the shirt. I tell you, a lot of wrestlers are fucked up, and as a result, there's a lot of born-agains. Course, that being said, I think the shirt is stupid. Nobody likes having other people's faith thrust in their face.

But now that i do, i think itd be pretty offensive to a devout christian having the name of a wrestler in the middle of a cross symbolizing jesus christ. Id really like to see a non- b/w or religious HBK shirt.
Guest mach7 Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 I like the shirt, but I mean, come on. Can't we get something a little different than Inc.? Stunner, Ltd. ?
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 Oh..Oh..I want a t-shirt of my favorite co-general manager from RAW!!! Where the hell are the eric bischoff shirts?
Guest My Eyebrow is on fire Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 Is it true the beta version said "I Think I'm Crucified! I know I'm Blessed!" ?
Guest Showstoppa Icon Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 I like the shirt, but I mean, come on. Can't we get something a little different than Inc.? Stunner, Ltd. ? The Stunner LS 400 series
Guest iamsherm Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 If I where a devout Christian, I'd be very offeneded. If you take the shirt at face value, it's comparing HBK to Christ. That's stretching it a bit, don't you think? I'm not religious, but I don't see the comparison between Shawn and Jesus being made. They make no bones about Shawn being a devout Christian, therefore they slap a cross on his shirt.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 I think those are both the coolest and the least cool wrestling shirts I have ever seen.
Guest Eagan469 Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 Anyone remember Shawn Michaels' "All Over" T-Shirt from 1995? It was sweet as hell, and they used to shill it on Superstars constantly.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 That Shawn shirt is stupid, not only because the Christian shit is all behind the curtain (although if he had an hour-long sermon on Raw, I'd shoot my TV, too) and has no place in the ring or on the merch catalog, but also because it's so clear the old smug asshole Shawn is just sitting under the humble candy coating.
Guest Choken One Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 I think that is the best austin shirt in years... The HBK shirt isn't really that bad... I wouldn't wear it though as an Non-Christian.

I'm might be stretching it, but using a religious symbol to promote yourself is just plain wrong.
Guest Choken One Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 Barry Horowitz had a star of Daivd on his tights...Why should HBK be any different in expressing his religon.
