LOD not Impressing WWE

# Many of the agents were extremely upset with Road Warrior Hawk following the Legion of Doom's match with Kane and Rob Van Dam on RAW Monday night. The reason being that Hawk no-sold both Rob Van Dam and Kane's finishing moves and also sat up immediately following the referee's three count.

 

There's still no word on if the Road Warriors will be signed or not, but I'd be very surprised if they were given how poor their performance was on Monday night.

How about the Missed Flying Clothesline by the Mile.... Maybe the Dudleys should reeducate them in how doing the DD hell they should buy the rights and forever call it the Dudley Device!

well they had one more chance to W.O.W the Road agents with their Dark Match for the Smackdown Brand...if its about as Abyssmal as the Raw match, then they may offer the LOD a choice...either quit, don't come back, or go down to OVW and try to better themselves....the Kronik choice..... such a choice that Bryan Clark turned up his nose and quit rather than suffer the indignity or trying to Learn to wrestle again. and Adams went down but got released...

 

at least they didn't totally Hire LOD outright like they did with Kronik

They didn't win Monday, and I got a chuckle from Hawk botching (RVD ducking) the Doomsday Device. Ergo, I was entertained. I can live with that being their last match, but I'd like to see them win one more match in the WWE.

 

I guess I like Happy Endings.

From what I could tell, RVD ducked, but didn't duck enough and the camera angles at the time made it look like Hawk fucked up big time.

 

Like the report says, they should be more on Hawk for getting up and walking right out after the finish off the match as opposed to the Doomsday Device.

hell why not just get the Power Warrior from Japan and instead of tagging him with Hawk Tag him with Animal and release Hawk...

 

least Power Warrior has experience putting on Road warrior facepaint

In a match where the Legion of Doom were given a tryout return to the WWE, they probably should have thought about what they were doing a little more carefully. The biggest mistake of the match would of had to of been Road Warrior Hawk no selling the finishing moves of RVD as well as Kane. This apparantly had WWE agents yelling Sell, Sell in the back. Very few people in the WWE thought that the LOD put on a good show. Although with people like Sable in the company, WWE gives many second chances. The LOD needs to keep the adrenaline of their entrance through their match.

You have to take in account that WWE's ring is a few feet bigger than those used by indy feds.

 

I remember when RVD made his debut he was having a HELL of a time running the ropes, as he was used to only having to go so many steps in an ECW ring.

Were LOD required to sell way back when? I'm not saying it's excused but it's known that these guys aren't bump machines. Also look at who they were in the ring with. I also have a HUGE problem with LOD getting denied for a bad match and some no-selling whereas Kevin fucking Nash is main eventing.

It was pretty obvious to me that the missed DD was intentional. Seeing as how half of you dumbasses figured it was the old guy botching the move, I'd say he and RVD pulled that spot off quite well.

LOD did look pretty horrible though. I can see keeping them around to build up the tag division, but they shouldn't be getting major pushes which is of course what Vince would want.

But don't forget, RVD was sitting on 40+ year old Animal's shoulders. If RVd ducked too much, Animal probably would have dropped him on his head. Animal doesn;t have the strenth and balance he once did.

What's with all the analysis? I thought it was obvious that RVD ducked the Doomsday Device from Hawk. Certainly wasn't a missed spot.

 

In fact I dunno why people thought that match was so lousy. I preferred it to most HHH stuff of late, haha.

The Horrible Camera Angle was the PERFECT frontal view of Hawk flying about a foot to far to the right from RVD and missing him atrociously

I thought it did the job well...You got a nostalgia Pop and it made RVD and Kane stronger in kayabe sense "beating the legendary Road Warriors"...

 

I would've perfered they used them with Team Angle as a way of getting them more heat...

They didn't do too bad. The reason it looked so bad was because RVd didn't duck enough and a bad camera angle. It looked fine on the replay.

 

This is an example of how better commentators could help cover this. If someone said that RVD's slight motion prevented him from getting hit with the Doomsday Device, it would have put RVD over as being a better wrestler and the DD as being a more devastating finisher.

 

I didn't even notice LOD getting up and leaving early.
