Guest Flyboy Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 (edited) Thread topic is self-explanatory. Mine would be... Football: Kurt Warner Marshall Faulk Peyton Manning Ricky Williams Basketball: Kobe Bryant Edited May 17, 2003 by Flyboy
Guest Choken One Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 We've done this so many times but it's always fun... I really can't stand the goodie two shoes like Kurt Warner and Tim Duncan... That's about it...
Guest Choken One Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 I don't get the hatin on Bonds...I like that he knows he is the best in the game...I dislike his body armor though...
Guest MaxPower27 Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 I dunno, I've just always hated him. NHL: Pretty much the entire Red Wings team, except Yzerman, Jeremy Roenick, Patrick Roy NFL: The entire league NBA: See NFL MLB: Bonds, Maddux, entire Yankees team
Guest razazteca Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 Peyton Manning does not have talent, he has as many INTs as TDs every year. Yeah it kind of sucks that the Spurs don't have a spokes person with a personality................Avery Johnson come back home.
Guest Choken One Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 Oh...I believe Stern will be personally dragging Duncan to Personality Training School during the off-season! Stern: YOU! If you going to insist on Playing Good...You'll need to grow a Personality, Tom. Duncan: It's Tim. Mr. Stern Stern: Huh? Who Cares. Duncan: Mr. Stern, I appreciate this but I really must be Praticeing my free throws. *Iverson walking out of Anger Management Class* A.I: Practice? We're talking about PRACTICE? Stern: See...Tom why can't you be more like him... Duncan: Do you mean excessively covered with Tattoos and loose baggy clothing? Stern: EXACTLY! Are you willing to get a Gold tooth because I believe those are "in" now. Duncan: Actually Sir, I'd really perfer to keep my teeth white. Stern: Are you trying to kill me here? Duncan: No, Sir. Why do you ask? Is this going to take much longer because I have a horseback riding session booked at 4:30. Stern: HORSEBACK riding? Why aren't you endorsing Doritos or Pepsi? Duncun: Well, I've never been contacted by them or anyone except that Shaving Gel company. Stern: Oh, I've realized that Tom. *Stern's Phone rings* Stern: Jail again? Both 'Sheed and Miles? YES! That means more endorsements! Whoo! Duncun: Sir, Isn't that a violation of Section 4, Code 1 in the NBA rules Handbook? Stern: Shh...Tom. Stern: Look, It's the off-season. Why don't worry about your free throws during the season...Work on getting some character and stuff... *Stern's Phone rings* STERN: MIKE! How Are you doing? Is the knee fine? You know the NBA really misses you around here...Oh, U called the wrong number? Oh, Well that's fine...well don't be a stranger. Duncan: Was that Mr. Jordan? Stern: Ah, Yes Tom it was His Airness... Duncun: Sir? May I please leave now? Stern: *Sign* Sure, It's hopeless anyways... *Duncan walks away* Stern: I wonder if Magic is busy...
Bored Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 Let's see just off the top of my head: Baseball: Jason Giambi (I'm an A's fan), Derek Jeter (most overrated REGULAR season player ever), Orlando Hernadez (most overrated pitcher ever and fuck this El Duque shit) Football: Jeremy Shockey (somebody needs to seriously injure him next year and take him down a few notches), Bill Romanowski (spits in people's faces, a cheap shot artist, fuck him) Basketball: Kobe Bryant (although not necessarily why most people do and I'm not Bored enough at the moment to go into why), Shaquille O'Neal (no one has gotten further in basketball for just being a big fatass) Again sure there are others that will come to mind later.
Guest The Voices In Your Head Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 Talented players I hate: Football: Warren Sapp Michael Vick [Vick terrorizes the Packers every time he plays them. Therefore, I hate him] Basketball: Jason Kidd [he seems to have the number of every team I like. The Nets eliminated my two favorite teams, the Bucks & Celtics so far in the Playoffs]
Guest redbaron51 Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 NHL: Darcey Tucker...Hell...He shouldn't be playin at all. NBA: Kobe Bryant NFL: Peyton Manning Kurt Warner Rob Johnson MLB: Bud Selig
Guest CanadianChris Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 NHL: Darcey Tucker...Hell...He shouldn't be playin at all. Isn't this about TALENTED players?
Guest Flyboy Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 NFL: Rob Johnson Rob Johnson... talented?!
Guest Vern Gagne Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 He's got the arm...just not the brain.
Guest MrRant Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 Tiger Woods Bill Romanowski Jerry Rice Shaq Kobe Portland TrailBlazers David Wells
Guest phoenixrising Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 NBA: Michael Jordan - I'm just glad he's gone. I got tired of announcers mentioning how great everything Jordan does is when he's out there turning the ball over and missing shots. Shaquille O'Neal - Best player in the league. Also a whiny-ass bitch. They call Sacramento the Queens? Take a look at O'Neal's act sometime. NFL: Warren Sapp - His mouth has gotten bigger as his play has dropped off.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 Shaq mostly...he's so full of himself and just comes off like a dick in interviews. I was very happy to see the Lakers get eliminated at home by 28. Allen Iverson...asshole. Thankfully my Pistons took a whoopin to him and ended them tonight. Although he's not as talented as people say, Phil Jackson...a retarded monkey could coach those teams to championships.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 I was going to make an actual pick but I saw Rob Johnson listed as talented...so I can't.
Guest Vern Gagne Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 Although he's not as talented as people say, Phil Jackson...a retarded monkey could coach those teams to championships. That's b.s. What did the Bulls do before Jackson arrived? What about the Lakers? Nothing. Go tell Micheal Jordan or Shaquille O'Neal that Phil Jackson didn't do squat. Oh. People can say Rob Johnson. He's got talent, he just doesn't have a brain.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 "I don't get the hatin on Bonds...I like that he knows he is the best in the game...I dislike his body armor though..." He's good, but I hate him. If I saw him on the street I wouldn't say anything because I really don't care about pro athletes. Although I do feel for him because his ex-wife, despite a pre-nup, still took him to the cleaners. Oh, and I hate Pippen, too...
Guest hardyz1 Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 Shaq isn't talented. But I certainly do hate him.
Guest PencilJobber Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 For some reason i can't stand Shaq he just annoys me also Ricky Williams of the Dolphins.
Guest Choken One Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 Allen Iverson...asshole. Thankfully my Pistons took a whoopin to him and ended them tonight. How can you be hatin on Iverson? I've never seen anyone in today's era put so much emotion into their game and yes he may not pratice because he is a GAME TIME player...He performs when he has too for the most part. Yes, He takes a HUGE amount of Shots but he HAS to with very little support...
Guest Spicy McHaggis Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 AI... doesn't practice, doesn't work in the off-season, complains on every call, gets way too many calls, dresses like a thug, rolls with thugs, and Stern loves him.
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 If every player in the NBA had the dedication and drive to win that Allen Iverson does, the game would be much better. A.I. would play on a barely healed broken leg where other guys would be sitting out on the DL with hangnails.
Guest Choken One Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 BEST PLAYER After Duncan in the game. That's all I care about. Pure and Simple.
Guest Spicy McHaggis Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 Shaq is the best player in the league. Followed by Duncan, Bryant, Garnett, and Kidd. Iverson comes in after that.
Guest Choken One Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 Nah...Shaq is good for 2 things...Dunks and Power. He isn't that complete player like Duncan and Garnett... and don't you even THINK about putting KOBE fucking Bryant over Iverson. Kobe can't lead a team to anywhere but the fucking basement with the other L.A team. A.I on his OWN took his team to the finals...
Guest Spicy McHaggis Posted May 17, 2003 Report Posted May 17, 2003 A.I on his OWN took his team to the finals... And LOST to Kobe and Shaq, who SWEPT Duncan and the Spurs in the conference finals.
