Guest ViciousFish Report post Posted May 18, 2003 While watching Rhyno vs Bill DeMott a thought came to me. Only the guys who will NEVER ever elevate past midcard jobbers always wear the WWE shirts. I don't think I can remember a guy winning wearing one of those. Dreamer wears them, DeMott wore one and he lost tonite, Crash wears them. It's almost like having Jobber written across your back. Guest art_vandelay Report post Posted May 18, 2003 Eddie wore one on SD.
Guest Galactic Gigolo Report post Posted May 18, 2003 David Flair ALWAYS wore a 'WCW' shirt to the ring. It always bothered me.
Guest Retro Rob Report post Posted May 18, 2003 I thought they only wore the WWE shirts because they needed to cover up their body, but didn't have as shirt of their own to use. Thus they were stuck with the generic WWE shirt.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted May 18, 2003 But in WWE, anyone who has to cover up thier body and doesn't have any merchandise is guranteed to be a jobber for life.
Guest Mole Report post Posted May 18, 2003 I've never thought of that before, very interesting idea, Fish.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted May 18, 2003 Spike Dudley always wore his own shirt to the ring.
Guest Olympic Slam Report post Posted May 18, 2003 I remember this time last year Mark Henry was wearing the same Backlash t-shirt for like 2 or 3 weeks AFTER Backlash. And just look where he is now.....
Guest Choken One Report post Posted May 18, 2003 I cant stand it when dreamer wears other people's shirts... He wore HBK's shirt and had ZERO involvment with Shawn...Just wore it for a Tag match for no reason... I want someone to wear thier opnoents shirts with out McMahonizing the shirt... Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted May 18, 2003 I want someone to wear thier opnoents shirts with out McMahonizing the shirt... Didn't Edge wear the You Suck shirt? You could technically say it was "McMahonized" because of the hijacked prototype angle, but they sold it and everything, so I don't really count it. I'd kill for a Mr. Sucko shirt, btw. Plus the other week he wore that new Dudleyz shirt when he was teaming with Spike. I'm begging someone from production to forget making that 48th HBK shirt, and make Dreamer his own shirt...it can't be that hard, can it? Then again, it's a way to pimp the product. If it wasn't for Dreamer wearing the shirts, I doubt many people would know when the PPV's are. He's like a walking extreme billboard.

Guest tank_abbott Report post Posted May 18, 2003 I may be wrong, but I seem to remember HHH wearing a WWF Attitude shirt a few times in 99...
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted May 18, 2003 HHH only wore the WWF shirts in '99 because he didn't have his own non-DX shirts yet. Know what I think would be cool? If a person came out with a new homemade t-shirt (permanent marker + white shirt, or airbrush it) each week with something new said on it, preferably about their opponent. Guest DerangedHermit Report post Posted May 18, 2003 Semi-OT... I would mark if they had a Goldberg shirt with just his face when he's no-selling up (with the funny expressions and all).

Pre-DX New Age Outlaws mastered the airbrushed shirt, my favorite being Road Dogg's "Look Ma, No Curse", which is funny today considering, well...you know. Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted May 18, 2003 That, Matt, was what I was referring to. NAO had some NICE shirts pre-DX.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted May 18, 2003 Actully...Dreamer does have his own shirt... Isn't the Psych Ward Shirt based off his character? Anyways...Yeah Who should bring back the Airbrushed Shirts? Kanyon?
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2003 Giant DX painted on white t-shirts in green... marvellous.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted May 18, 2003 Wasn't that because they weren't *Offical * member of DX, so they weren't allowed to wear the shirts?
