TheOriginalOrangeGoblin 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2003 I was bored out of my mind the whole show. Ladder match was disappointing but nothing was bad enough to pass KOTR95 or GAB91. HHH/Nash & Hogan/Piper were the only total stinkers the rest was just decent-weak.
Bored 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2003 Well apparantly the Piper/Hogan and HHH/Nash matches were even worse than expected.
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted May 19, 2003 Show was kinda boring, but it wasn't the worst ever.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2003 I liked how Lesnar beat the Big SHow. It was kinda fun.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted May 19, 2003 Not at all...Nothing sucked outright except the Bikini Contest and Nash.HHH Nothing great though... *** Ladder Match and a Fun Royale was about it... Nice Austin/Bischoff segments Lesnar looked like a SUPERSTAR for the first time since winning the title... It'll be forgotten though in 4 days...
Guest NoSelfWorth Report post Posted May 19, 2003 It was a pretty poor event, but I don't think it was as bad as KotR 1995.
Guest Downhome Report post Posted May 19, 2003 I will describe it as just "average". There wasn't much on here that I'll remember months/years down the road, but what was there was "ok". I would like to say that I truly wish that WWE would realize that Kevin Nash is no longer worth the promotion time that he is getting. His quad tear has obviously really affected him, and it's not hard to tell. The guy is slower now than he's been in his entire career, and it just isn't flying. The ONLY way that they should keep this going, if they must, is to have Nash heel, because as is, he should NOT be a face. I don't want him to stay around, but him being a heel is the only thing that would at least make sense. For the most part he's booed anyhow, might as well do it. Same with Piper, I think he should remain out of the ring from this day forward and JUST be a manager, which I feel they'll now do. We all know that this match only took place in order for Piper to say that Hogan STILL hasn't pinned him, because it was Mr. America which did so, thus driving McMahon even more crazy with Piper now "believing" that Mr. America is NOT Hulk Hogan. Everything else on the card, I was ok with, even Brock/TBS. It was suprisingly entertaining to me, I really enjoyed it. I just hope this is the end of TBS's run in the main event, at least for the next year or so. I also hated the bikini contest, but I might as well not even complain about that. Guest Sakura Report post Posted May 19, 2003 I also hated the bikini contest, but I might as well not even complain about that. Why not? Why don't you want more Big Show if you liked his match?
Guest Vyce Report post Posted May 19, 2003 I don't like that Christian won the gold. That frightens me. It proves to me that they're immediately going to hotshot the title on Goldberg, despite all this talk about Booker T. It will INSTANTLY discredit the belt. Guest Choken One Report post Posted May 19, 2003 Why are even thinking Goldy touching the title? I am sorry but putting the title on X is better then Booker...
Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted May 19, 2003 way better than I expected but the screwjob ending for Nash and HHH is worse than I expected.......
Kurt Angle Mark 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2003 No it wasn't, since Backlash was worse than Judgment Day.
Guest nikowwf Report post Posted May 19, 2003 I liked the Big Show / Brock match too. The gimmick worked, it was intense and Brock pulled off a good END to their feud. Lighting doesn't strike twice often, so they need to end those two fighting NOW. I though the Torrie / Sable stuff was ok for T&A. I thought the woman's match was good filler. The ladder match was ok with the particpants involved. So i had one segment i really liked, 3 ok segments and that was it. The rest was sleep inducing crap....no better than most Raw's and even worse due to the fact I paid for it. Not the worst PPV i've ever seen, but such a half assed and poorly thought out one at times that it may have been the most depressing. niko
Guest The Grand Pubah of 1620 Report post Posted May 19, 2003 It wasn't that bad. The ladder match sucked. It had more blown spots then the Women's match, and that's pretty bad. The ending for the battle royal was funny as hell. But it was a pretty entertaining match anyway. Nash/HHH was better then I thought it would be, minus the DQ. Nash fucking HHH up putting him through that table was cool as hell. Brock/Show was pretty boring up until the end. How did Brock learn to drive a fork lift like that. He came haulin ass from the back. I agree with Downhome, average.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted May 19, 2003 Christian is the one who needs the belt the most. It would hurt Jericho or Booker since they should be main-eventing. Jericho took almost a year to recover from his last IC Title run. It is a midcard belt, and if either of those two get it, they will not advance above that level for a long time. At least now they occasionally get to main event.
Guest Caliban Report post Posted May 19, 2003 Nothing on the show was really offensive, except for the bikini contest, and the fact that the matches with potential were kept short to seemingly fit in the Austin/Bischoff RAW skits and Lilian Garcia's singing. I'd rate it about the same as No Way Out. Just painfully average.
Guest Downhome Report post Posted May 19, 2003 I also hated the bikini contest, but I might as well not even complain about that. Why not? Because it isn't even worth my time, that's how little I care for it. Why don't you want more Big Show if you liked his match? I would like to see more TBS, but only if he would get in a bit better shape, and leave the main event scene for at least a year. The match wasn't entertaining because of him, but it was because of Brock working with what he was given so well. I feel there is always a place for the "big man" in Pro. Wrestling. He just needs a lot more work, to get back to where he was at one time. He was carried last night, while playing the big man role last night, and I enjoy that. Just for the love of God, no more main event for at least a year or so.
Guest hebtheeagle Report post Posted May 19, 2003 I thought Judgment Day was pretty good for the way the WWE has been going, it's a definite step in the right direction. However, Torrie and Sable's lesbian angle, can kiss my a$$ Is it just me or does John Cena focus alot of his attention on dick? Just thinking out loud. Maybe Cena's the white version of Too Cold Scorpio in that respect, so he does these things to get attention to it. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, read Mick Foley's first book.
Guest buffybeast Report post Posted May 19, 2003 I was in attendance at the Charlotte Coliseum last night. The show was ok but nothing great. There were times last night where I was bored (HHH/Nash). Overall the show was ok. I would not have ordered the ppv if I hadn't attended.
Guest MARTYEWR Report post Posted May 19, 2003 Extremely bad show IMO, but still not nearly as bad as KOTR 95. The ladder match kept it from reaching that level.
