Was Judgement Day WORSE than KOTR 95

Part of what made KOTR 95 so bad was the booking. If Big Show & Nash won their matches, then it would be easier to compare the two shows.

The title match was a fun brawl, with Brock suprising the hell out of me by getting the crowd to give a shit about the match.

 

HHH/Nash was boring, but not the spectacle of suck that was the Steiner feud.

 

The rest was mediocre to good.

I thought it was an improvement over Backlash 2K3. Backlash sucked pretty hard, but JD had some redeeming qualities that made it a decent show. The main event was suprisingly good. Brock is showing a lot of confidence in the ring lately, which is always nice. The crowd lit up when he dove off the forklift, and he went the extra mile to ensure that they didn't deflate. The ladder match had some creative spots, but the inexperience of Haas and Benjamin kept it from being an all time great ladder match. Team Angle look lost in the ring sometimes and it takes the enjoyment out of their matches. Still, it was a good match with an interesting ending. The battle royal was as good as it was going to be. I was suprised that JR didn't play up the history between Black Gold and the long haired Canadians when they turned out to be the final four people in the ring. I don't have an issue with Christian going over. His elimination of Jericho was pretty out of nowhere. Some of the skits during the show came off well, namely Gregory Helms/Mr America and Piper/Jericho. The Austin/Bischoff Skits got a bit tired after a while and were never really funny in the first place. Sable obviously won the bikini challenge in the eyes of the crowd, but they gave it to Torrie anyway. The Piper/America match was a bit hokey, then again, what can you expect from 2 guys over fifty, one of which can't train properly due to injuries, and neither of which can really take a bump. The La Resistance match was a trainwreck and the Nash/HHH match was boring. Overall, a decent effort with a few bad spots.

The ladder match was by far the best match on the card. Lesnar vs. Show was OK. IC Battle Royal was OK also, however they should have put Christian or Book over clean. That's all for now, folks.

Isn't it funny how Kevin Nash is billed at 300 lbs, 200 lbs lighter than Big Show's billing of 500 lbs, yet they both move just as slowly? It's almost enough for me to give Show props just for not wheeling himself after people like a true lazy ass. Could you imagine if Big Show was built like Nathan Jones at Show's height? Shit! I mean, Show isn't by any means a fabulous actor or the best worker or anything, but he's a funny fuck and he does try, you have to admit, he does try. He could be feasibly unstoppable. Oh well.

I just recently saw JD, a week later but for free.

 

Nahh.. KOTR 95 was awful in so many levels.

JD 2K3 is just a bad and sometimes boring PPV, I think Backlash is worst than JD.

 

JD: Brock vs BS was good, and the end was really cool, Bikini contest was entertaining, Guerrero / Tajiri was good, IC Battle royal good too.

 

Backlash: Guerreros -> good and thats it, the rest was boring or bad.
