Guest Beezel Report post Posted May 19, 2003 [May 17, 2003. White Mountain, New Hampshire] Beezel sits on an outcropping of rock, looking down over forest, rock, and river. Birds fly, water gurgles, and animals scurry on the ground way way below where El Scorcho sits. Grunting and complaints can be heard behind the masked man, as three figures approach him. Mike Van Siclen, Wildchild, and Johnny Dangerous look down from their safe position higher on the mountain at the leader of their stable. "Beez, what the hell is this?" asks Siclen with a hint of perturbation, "We have a show in two days and instead of training we're rock climbing?" "This is training, number two," says the mystery man in his haunting robotic tone, "You will probably want to stay seated up there. Three and four, you should follow suit. The rock is stable up there, as opposed to where I sit." The three men sit down, obviously confused by what all this means. "I ask all three of you, what do you see down on the ground?" Siclen peers over the outcropping while Wildchild and Dangerous look off side to side. None of the men answer immediatly. "Alright, what do you see down there?" asks Beezel, pointing to a specific spot. Johnny catches what the man means first, "Oh, you mean that heap of rubble?" "Yes, number three. But that heap of rubble wasn't always there. We're in the white mountains of New Hampshire, and that down there are the remains of what was once known as the 'Man in the Mountain'. I brought you here to see that, and to realize why I've brought all of you together." El Scorcho leaps off his outcropping, flipping backwards and landing on his feet behind his stablemates. The platform he stood on begins to crack and crumble, slowly falling down to the ground. "There was once a face carved into this rock made by nature. It took centuries to build, and when done was here for over a century itself. People saw it as they took their paths through these woods. It came to be a symbol of this state and a monument to what nature can do," speaks Beezel. All three men still look confused. "Where be 'dis face now?" asks Wildchild. "I showed you three, the pile of rubble on the ground," says Beezel, "Nature came one day and took down it's own creation. For years the people around here saw it as a permanent monument, but they forgot one thing. Nothing in nature is permanent, and this lesson we all need to take to heart. Right now, it seems as if the Magnificent Seven has a hold on the SWF permanently, but it can't remain so. I propose we take ourselves as the natural forces to knock them down. Like this mountain remains after the face was gone, we too shall remain in the rubble of what was once the Magnificent Seven. Three and Four shall reclaim the tag titles for all that is good. Siclen, as I already know, is capable of handline whatever Friend Flesher feels he needs to throw at us in order to keep us away from him. I know my role already, and will play it when the time comes." Siclen rises to his feet with a hint of anger, "You brought us here just for that analogy? You could have showed us some pictures and gotten the same effect!" Even covered from head to toe, one could almost detect the smile crossing El Scorcho's face. "I could have, but rock climbing is a great strength and speed workout. We need to be physically ready for the show don't we? Come on folks, we have a plane to catch!" exclaims Beezel, laughing. With shrugs and murmurs, Catch-22 make their way down the mountain. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OOC: I apologize immediatly to Wildchild if I made a mistake with his accent. I confess not knowing the Creole style of speaking that well and hopefully did not go too far off the mark.

Guest Edwin MacPhisto Report post Posted May 20, 2003 Beezel continues to be somewhat out there, but I love him for it. A unique mission statement, written with care and raising interest all across the board.
Guest Longdogger_Pete Report post Posted May 20, 2003 Good stuff from Mr. B. Having lived in the White Mountains for eight years before coming to Florida, I'm all too aware of the mythology of the Old Man in the Mountain, which I had seen countless times, and am well aware of how devastated many New Hampshire citizens are feeling over the loss of their monument. So this promo hit close to home with me. Kudos.
