OMG he gets a big boner for big wrestlers LOL~!" That and... "OMG Jericho has NO semblance of a career anymore. He's destined to be jobbing on Metal every other week now. Shawn Michaels who sold like he had been shot a couple of times made him look WEAK" and one last one... "HHH and Nash should just die and so should Vince. I want 120 min. ironman bouts with Jericho and Benoit every RAW and Smackdown instead of them." The shit gets quite tiring guys. Rudo I don't hate except when he talks about Jericho you'd swear he was Loss4Words because of the huge boner he has for him. LOTC just pisses me off. He bitches about rundown shell of his former self HHH yet isn't one of his huge faves, Chono? I'm VERY glad BPS doesn't travel to the WWE folder. I was getting tired of hearing about how Spot Van Dam was being killed by HHH. Bob Barron is alright for the most part except when he enters heel Mike Tenay mode and tries to grill someone for what they just said but it just comes off sounding dorky. No one can say, people only bitch because the product is bad. WWF 2000 is considered one of the best years by many and there was rampant bitching about it. The one thing that's making conversation nothing but bitchy is because TSM is becoming too close knit. Ask Dr. Tom about how feels in regards to close-knit messageboards. It seems like a vast board with only a handful actually knowing each other but it's really not that many if you think about it. When people become sick of each other, they bitch and moan. About Triple H: I admittedly hated his feud with Booker T because he wasn't into at all. He didn't play a good racist....Maybe because there shouldn't be racism at all. He was given shit to work with. Fans didn't care about the storyline. The storyline was crap in the 1st place. Booker T didn't help at all because the fans could care less about him being raised in the ghetto and shit. All they wanted was a spinaroonie and a sucka. I found RAW immensly entertaining because of him. He played the asshole so well. Austin kept trying to one up him but he would always sneak around it. He also acted like a dick to Austin whom I find very annoying and didn't care about him while he was gone. Triple H won't job to Jericho because they're both heels. RVD, Booker, and Kane obviously can't get the job done of rallying support and/or doing good work in the ring. Kane is probably the only one who comes close as far as having both. He just isn't World Champ material though. Kane's been everyone's chump. Taker, Rock, X-Pac, Jericho, Big Show, HHH, Fuckin' Bob Holly! Did you see how much the fans got behind the Flair and how basic he was but it still looked like gold? Why should the guy who carried 1999 and 2000 on his back with Foley and Rock lay down for a guy who's charisma entails "It's cool...whatever man"?? Rendclaw 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2003 Even before I jumped onto smark boards, it was painfully obvious about the state of the WWE. The thing that really tore it for me was the Katie Vick storyline. I bitch about WWE because its a catharsis for me. I have watched this federation for years, ever since my first match on cable (Patterson V. Slaughter in a Texas Death Match), up until I got this job where I miss it except on weekends, and even then 9 times out of 10 I will miss it because my social life has been compressed into early mornings and weekends. Quite simply put, I am a fan of GOOD wrestling. To paraphase what Downhome said, any match that makes me care about it is a good one, from old school to hardcore to spotfests. My main complaint about WWE is that with the exception of the smark darlings (Angle, Benoit, Jericho, et al), is that crappy writing and lack of continuity aside, there just has not been very good wrestling. Combine that with the "we are the only big game in town and there are two things you can do about it: nothing, and like it" prevalent attitude, I've basically given up on it. But when someone does make a good point in a thread, I was first inclined to jump right in. Not any longer, now. It is human nature to bitch and complain, even when things are going great (in the case of the WWE, they most certainly are not). To be honest, I find the other folders to be much more entertaining and informative, not to mention conferring and reminiscing with others on here about video games, music and movies, some of the many passions I have. I like this place a lot, and I value a lot of you guys for giving me a lot to think about and respond to, when I would have died from sheer boredom during my work shift. On to Jubuki: Dames, you did the right thing, even though you struggled against yourself at first. Hell, I was born and raised an hour's drive up I-95 from NYC, and the heavy end of the hammer would have fallen on him the very second I read that post if I were in your position. There are some things that you don't use for inflammatory comments, and if 9/11 isn't #1 on that list, its certainly in the top three. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

And usually the shows I miss have something like that. Getting a couple of Puro tapes is one thing, but once I get tired of watching them I would have to get more. Sure he said about the most tasteless thing possible in an off the cuff manner that I personally found revolting, and certainly understand why everyone else agrees...but it is hypocritical. I suppose, if you want to rationalize it after the fact, you could say that it was of a nature like racism, where it's basically hateful for the sake of being hateful, joking or not. Absolutely, and what's done is done, but still, do you want a board where certain things are laid out and generally adhered to, or do you want a board where you're going to get banned if you cross a certain undefined line, even if you do intentionally say something vile and ignorant...but, isn't that the point of this folder? Tank Abbott didn't get banned for his list of truly unfunny and unnecessary 9/11 jokes. 2. Then tell him he's a useless dogcunt. He pretty clearly (to me, anyway) said it solely to piss people off, which it did. I can't claim the same personal attachment to that scene that you guys have, but it involved everyone, not just the Manhattan residents. As for deserving to get banned..well, two mods looked at it before Dames did and didn't wield the axe. Similar shit was said recently in another thread, and people wish death on each other here all the time, to no reprecussions...He pissed Dames off with a fucking pointless comment and got banned, end of story. 3. It was flamebait, it's meant to either be flamed, or be ignored. Especially in the folder where it's meant to be kept. Overall, I'm not saying what Jubuki said was a-ok, and I'm not taking anything away from Dames, it's nothing personal, I just think he made a really bad call here, so I'm stating that. The perfectplex/avril lavigne saga is dumber than hell. He made this really ignorant post in the music folder about wishing that avril lavigne would get raped and strangled, it got moved to NHB, which is where it should've gone in the first place. He got warned for flame baiting outside of NHB, then took it upon himself to abuse the PM system on the board, people bitched, he got banned.
